This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the home of David E. Kahn, 44 West 77th St., Apt. 14-W, New York City, this 25th day of April, 1936, in accordance with request made by the father - Mr. […], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 9:05 to 9:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [735]; this we have had before.

  2. As we find, there is apparently not a great deal of change save in the stamina, as it were, through portions of the spine; yet a great deal of improvement is indicated in the coordination of the circulation throughout the extremities, and through all portions of the body.

  3. However, both locomotory centers - the 4th lumbar axis, the brachial axis or plexus - are still incoordinant with the cerebrospinal AND the vegetative or sympathetic systems. Yet these are showing for improvements in that there are feelers that are indicted as being active in both of these centers; more in the LUMBAR axis then in the upper. Yet we will find that if there will be the continuations of those applications (though we would make some minor changes for the body), the conditions gradually, slowly but surely, will continue to improve.

  4. These, then, we would give as the applications for the body in the present:

  5. We would continue with the use of the Radio-Active Appliance in its use to the extremities.

  6. We would use the low Wet Cell Appliance, carrying one day a solution of Atomidine and the next day the Spirits of Camphor. In making the applications, use two days from the same plexus or same connections, see? First to the brachial center or at the 1st and 2nd dorsal center, with the smaller plate; the larger plate, through which the solution passes, at the umbilicus center. One day here (the umbilicus plexus attachment) use the Atomidine (full strength), the next day the Spirits of Camphor. The next day apply the smaller plate to the 4th lumbar center, the larger plate still to the lacteal and umbilicus center - with one day the Atomidine, the next day the Spirits of Camphor. Continue in this manner for at least thirty minutes each day.

  7. The massages for the body we would continue. Especially we would continue with THIS as the combination in the present - equal portions of Tincture of Myrrh, Olive Oil and Compound Tincture of Benzoin. Heat the oil to add the myrrh, then add the other solution - equal portions. Massage this each evening when the body is ready to retire, circular motion from the base of the brain to the end of the spine.

  8. We would also massage pure Olive Oil (without the other ingredients) over the limbs themselves, and especially in the palms of the hands, the wrist, the elbows, under the arms, the hips, across the sacral area, under the knees, the ankles and the soles of the feet. Circulate these as they are given, just what the body will absorb.

  9. Use the electrically driven vibrator; not that which is severe, but rather the cup and the sponge applicators. These we would use about twice each week, but use for at least fifteen to twenty minutes all along the spine, from the base of the brain to the end of the spine; up, down, either side of spine.

  10. Do these. Be patient. Be persistent. And we will find these applications will bring the better activities and near to normalcy for this body.

  11. Ready for questions.

  12. (Q) Why have the developments as indicated in previous readings not taken place? (A) There has not been the full response. Do not be OVERANXIOUS. Be sufficiently anxious to follow closely. We will find results will come. Be patient. Be persistent.

  13. (Q) Is there anything wrong with the throat? (A) Nothing wrong, as we find, save as will be made normal through the applications as indicated; in the massage, in the rub.

  14. (Q) What is causing the right leg to turn out? (A) The tendency for the use of same more than the other. Hence those suggestions as given for corrective measures along the spine. But if the cup and the sponge both are used in the application of the electrically driven vibrator, these will gradually come to a nearer normal activity.

  15. (Q) Is there any curvature of spine? (A) Naturally, with all the muscular forces involved and with the activities that go to make up for the body the greater development, this will come and go; for these have been indicated, though these are not as severe as they have been indicated at some times previous.

  16. (Q) Does she require special shoes? (A) This, of course, depends upon how much activity there is to be had. As we find in the present, no. When there is the beginning of the standing, of the motion of the limbs, it will. There has been, as indicated here, the necessity to massage thoroughly - work the feet, the toes, especially through the ankle, under the knee, along the sciatic center, WITH the pure olive oil.

Along the spine in the circular motion, either side and down the spine, use the combination of ingredients as indicated.

Use the Olive Oil along the limbs, the shoulders, out to and under the arms, the elbows, the wrists, the palms of hands.

And with those properties in the system through the Wet Cell Appliance, these will tend - with the Radio-Active Appliance - to create a balance in the system.

Remember this: There was the breaking or burning up, as it were, of the cellular forces along the ganglia in the spine and especially along the locomotary centre that prevent the impulse. As the superficial or the outer circulation and the deeper circulation are made to coordinate more and more, there will be sent out from the glands of the system - through the activities of these vibrations in the body - the influences that will create and make for the nerve tendons or nerve tissues themselves. Because these have been burned or destroyed in a measure, and are now beginning - as indicated in portions of the body - to show a glow, when there are the applications or the massages. These will increase more and more.

Do those things suggested.

  1. (Q) Is the solution of Atomidine suggested just the commercial strength? (A) The strength just commercially sold. There will be required about four ounces, you see; which will last for at least two periods of recharging of the Appliance. Keep the connections clear. Make some alterations in same, especially in that which passes through the solution being of the hollow lead, and especially in keeping the connections clean.

Better that the plates be changed or altered so they produce a vacuum under same in contact with the body. These will carry the vibrations more in a coordinant way and manner.

  1. (Q) Is there anything wrong with the muscles of the stomach? Are they weak? (A) They tend naturally to sag, but with the massage along the spine, you see, this may be extended somewhat - but not too much. For we would not desire to produce a GROWTH, or a heaviness here through the muscular forces. Let those along the spine, either side of the spinal column, DRAW these to their normal position.

Follow these suggestions and we will find we will continue to bring help and relief for this body.

Let those that minister know that all healing, all force and power comes from the Infinite; that these influences and powers that work in and through them, in making the application, can, will, through those promises He has given, manifest health, strength, vitality, for this body.
