This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 9th day of August, 1943, in accordance with request made by the father - Mr. [257], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will answer the questions regarding this body as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body [759].

3. Ready for questions.

4. (Q) What is the general condition today? (A) As we find there is still a great deal of pus-producing conditions in the system. This is indicated by the continual draining of the glands in the throat and neck.

We would give the body a gentle massage so as to distribute or produce a better coordination in the glands of head, neck and chest; or a gentle treatment from the ninth dorsal to the first cervicals. Set up better drainages, osteopathically, so that there will be - from the first, second and third dorsal to the first cervicals - draining to those areas already affected and from the third dorsal to the ninth and tenth dorsal, so that drainages are set up through the alimentary canal.

Then with the use of an antiseptic to clear the system and the taking of the same internally, these conditions should be absorbed without further disturbance. We would use Glyco-Thymoline packs as the character of antiseptic necessary in cleansing same, as well as taking internally three times a day three drops in a glass of water to purify the alimentary canal.

5. (Q) X-ray shows stone. Does it have to be operated upon, or can it be dissolved - and if so, how? (A) As indicated, if there is the ability through the osteopathic treatments to set up drainages, this may be eliminated. If not, operation will be necessary.

6. (Q) Is there anything wrong in any part of his body? (A) A great many things wrong in many parts of his body! These are those disturbing in the present. Tend to these first - meet them as they exist.

7. (Q) What should be done to build him up? (A) First, purify the system. Then the natural consequences from appetite and activities, should be to use these influences to build up resistances in the body.

More vitamins A, B, C, and the B and B-1 complex are necessary. These may be taken considerably in the diet but also should be supplemented when we attempt to build up the body.

8. (Q) What is proper diet and what exercises are best? (A) No particular exercises except keeping the body-mind as well as the physical alert though not overactive.

The diet should include fruits and vegetables; those that are laxative as well as body-building in their nature. These the body is very well acquainted with.

9. (Q) What causes continued drainage over such long period? (A) As just indicated because of the lack of setting up drainages; so that there is continued reinfection. That is why the osteopathic treatment is to set up drainages from certain portions upward, as to carry off poisons, and from those same portions downward. These, with purifying the system internally as well as external applications, will aid in establishing good equilibrium, so that assimilated may build the body.
