This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 16th day of May, 1930, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [760].

[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mrs. [760], Dr. Lydic, and David E. Kahn.]

Time of Reading 4:15 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here - this we have had before. Now, the conditions as have to do with the effects of the nerve ends and their effusiveness of the matters as are not eliminated in the proper channels - these, as we find, are not so WELL as when we last had same. While the changes in the elimination has been attempted, little of those properties as should be eliminated from the alimentary canal - that calls for the activity of the liver itself - have been removed; for SO MUCH cathartics have been taken in times back, that it requires MORE of the nature of those things that will PRODUCE activity. WE would take those, then, of the liver salts, as the caroids - and those of the phenolphtalein, and the combination as is put in that of the liver salts. [Caroid and Bile Salts tablets?] Keep this - two each day - until there is at LEAST a THOROUGH reaction through the system.

  2. Then, we would use on those of the abrasions - those of the low form of electrical forces, or those of the X-ray DIRECT; not too severe, but this will add to the system in such a way that the eliminations will be the better relieved, see? Do that. Ready for questions.

  3. (Q) What diet should the body follow? (A) Those that are of an ALKALIN nature. Vegetables, fruits - that are NOT SOLID PRODUCING in the system! Eggs, but only using the yolk of same. Any of the food values that are ALKALIN reacting. LITTLE or no meats. Rye bread, or graham bread. These are the better, see?

  4. (Q) Should the body continue all treatments she has been taking? (A) OVER treating at present, see? It’s OVER applications at present! Were the activities of the liver kept up, and using just an antiseptic as a wash - and not bathing other than with that, see - then the X-ray - these will aid the most.

  5. (Q) Should the body continue with the sulphur and salts? (A) NO! It’s given that they should use the other! Won’t need any sulphur and salts if it takes these every day for two or three weeks!

  6. (Q) Should she use the camphorated oil until the other treatment is started? (A) We have GIVEN which is the best to do! Only use an ANTISEPTIC!

  7. (Q) Which antiseptic would be best? (A) Anything that is an antiseptic that prevents irritation. The BETTER, of course, is that of the weakened solution of those that are - of course - poisonous in nature, but are for an antiseptic the better for such conditions, see? This should be weakened to about half the normal strength, see? One tablet to about quart and half of water, see? This may be preserved or kept for one day, or it may be half a tablet to half the quantity, see? The mercury - bichloride.

  8. We are through with this reading.
