EC: Yes, we have the body here, [760] - this we have had before. There are many changes in the physical conditions of the body from that as we have had here before. Some acute conditions have arisen in the muscular forces of the body, from the poisons that have been assimilated in the system, or drosses that have been left in the system, so that there is the effect of an ACUTE condition of INFLAMMATION of the nerves in the sinew of the body, in hip, as well as a reflex action in the nerve forces as affect the nerves of the nose and face. These are SYMPATHETIC conditions in the nose or face and ear, while those in the sinew, in the joint, in the torso of the body, are more of a SPECIFIC nature.

As we would find, in the applications as are being made through manipulative measures, as well as those applications externally for the relaxing of the muscular forces and tissue, these are being effective, yet are rather slow - but rather sure. These may be made MORE effective were the stupes of the mullein applied over that area where the contraction in the muscular forces occurs, and THEN applying the balm, or the oil of pine, TO same.

Those in the nerve forces and the tissue in face will be more effective by the mindfulness of the diet, and the application of the violet ray-or ultra-violet ray - to those of the upper cervical and upper dorsal region. These may be obtained as effectively in the sunshine, PROVIDED this is NOT made too acute by too LONG an exposure. We would also use, as a local application, the Yellow Oxide Ointment, in the proportion of one-tenth of one percent of the Oxide in the Ointment - see? Ready for questions.

Be mindful of the diet. Take as MUCH exercise as possible, but beware of draft - and keep the alimentary canal open. This may be done MOST effectively by the use of this: This as a dose, and three doses - as we find - SHOULD be taken, see?
Podophyllum…1/4 grain, Leptandrin…1/2 grain, Sanguinaria…1/2 grain, Cascara Sagrada…1/2 grain.
Three doses should be taken. Let there be a day apart between each dose. Follow same with the Petrolagar of the nature that is most non-acid for the body. Well that citrocarbonates also (Upjohn’s) be taken to reduce the acidity of the system. See? These may be taken in SMALL doses once or twice a day, or FOLLOWING each meal - or BEFORE the meal. Just as the CONDITIONS arise.

Keep the manipulations, but make those local applications BEFORE the heat is applied, see? These will be heated - that is, the stupes - before they are applied to the affected portions.

(Q) How long should the stupes be left on at a time? (A) Make a pad at least four to five leaves thick - that is, the leaves of the mullein should be bruised and put in hot water, see? Cover same over, or make same next to the skin itself - cover with a heavy pad. Keep on until cool. This would be applied just before retiring, and will bring ease to the body.

(Q) Is the condition in the eye the same as the nose? (A) Just a reflex from same, to the soft tissue and the forces as applied in the upper cervical and upper dorsal will reduce this, with the manipulative forces, the ultra-violet ray, or sun’s ray.

(Q) Should the ointment be used on the eye? (A) Rather this on the nose and use that on the eye of a mild antiseptic solution - boracic acid.
