This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 18th day of April, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [780].

1. EC: In the existent conditions in the body, these we find different from those as we have had here before. Through the digestive system we have brought about a condition that prevents the proper elimination in system, and the condition becoming acute has formed too much of that in the blood supply of that bacilli that creates the streptococci formation in system. Hence we have the indications in portions of the body, face, throat, in side at times, of the formation of that producing the inflammation from such poisons in the system. This has brought about then the condition as we have at the present time. This, we see, with the attempting to create the equilibrium necessary, and with the exciting of the secretions of the digestive system, especially of those of the liver and of the hepatic circulation, has shifted the conditions in the body from one portion to another.

2. Then, to bring the normal forces to this body, and to relieve these conditions in the nominal way, we need first some attention locally to that condition in throat and mouth, teeth you see.

3. Then we need to eliminate through these channels, taking this then in the system:

4. To one gallon of rain water, we would add:

Yellow Dock Root…2 ounces, Burdock Root…2 ounces, Black Root…2 ounces, Wild Cherry Bark…2 ounces, Elder Flower…4 ounces.

5. Reduce by simmering (not boiling) to one quart. Strain while warm and add two drams Balsam of Tolu cut in four ounces of pure grain alcohol.

6. The dose would be teaspoonful four times each day. This we find will bring the normal forces to this body, producing the perfect equilibrium through eliminations in system, keeping at such times plenty of water in system, keeping at such times plenty of water in the system, drinking over quantities, as it were, that the system may have the supply of secretions throughout the intestinal tract, upon which the medicinal properties may have their therapeutic value in the system.

7. Do this. We are through for the present.

R1. 4/28/25 Evidently Mr. [779] wrote expressing their belief that Mrs. [780] might be pregnant, but no copy of the letter can be found in the files.

R2. 5/13/25 Letter from [779] to EC: ”…Now I will talk a little while about Mrs. [780] case and the reading. I got the rain water after waiting a few weeks, and have made up the medicine as per reading. She has now been taking same about eight days. She has not had any more trouble with her teeth. She is feeling good as she can feel she says. Looks very, very well and getting as fat as a pig, complexion clear. Not as the condition mentioned in my letter before. I am unable to get anything from the reading that would say such condition existed or did not. But we are still at a loss to the condition I had reference to. We both think somewhat it is the case, but not like at the time with the other three. If such be the case we are at a loss to the time we may expect the arrival.

“Kindly accept our thanks of your good offer to try and give us more light to the condition, We with pleasure accept your noble kindness and ask that you please set a date to go over the case and see if we have done just right in correcting the condition in mouth and the giving of medicine.

“Now WE ARE VERY ANXIOUS TO KNOW if she has the condition as per my letter of the 28th. I am going to let you arrange the questions as you think best to ask them. But I will outline the most important things we want to know, as follows:

“1. If such is the case when can we expect birth? (month & date) 2. Will same be male or female? 3. Shall the body take the full quart of medicine given in reading of the 18 of April? 4. Has the condition in mouth and throat been properly corrected?

“Now this is what we would like to know, then we can make our arrangements accordingly - you see? Set the date and time and she will be at home. If you don’t have time to write you can wire me collect, and I sure will appreciate the favor. I know you are the only one can give us the above information and depend on it…”
