This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 7th day of December, 1940, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [808], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 4:05 to 4:10 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes.

3. As we find, GENERAL conditions of the body are much improved. There are those disturbances that allow for cold or congestion, or the germ of flu to easily attack the body; and the mucous membranes of the nasal passages and throat to become easily irritated.

4. These arise primarily from super-sensitiveness of the whole glandular system.

5. WE find that THIS form of a tonic would be most beneficial at this time; and we would take these pellets, rather than the injections of dead serums:

6. Of morning with the morning meal, - that is, at or during the meal, - take one tablet of Halibut Oil with Viosterol in same.

7. In the evening, with the evening meal, take two White’s Cod Liver Oil Tablets.

8. These as we find, then, with the other injections that are for the glandular forces as related to the activities through the genital system and the eliminations with same, will not work one against another but the general health, the general appetite, the better assimilation and better resistance to throw off other conditions will be the result of taking same.

10. (Q) Would Lilly’s Enterol taken regularly keep me immune from colds, grippe, and the like? (A) These properties as we have indicated will work better than the germs destroyed attempting to FOOL the system.

11. (Q) What should I use to remove dandruff from the scalp? (A) Listerine is the better application. This as we find, rubbed thoroughly in the hair once a week - of course, weakened somewhat in water - will keep down dandruff.

12. (Q) Any further suggestions for improvement of my diet? (A) As indicated, this character of the stimuli suggested for the general system will produce better desire for diet. We wouldn’t change the form in the diet materially. Let rather the appetite change this, gradually, see?

13. (Q) Any further suggestions for the physical and spiritual improvement of this body? (A) Keep the attitude that as the physical body is the manifestation of spiritual life and influence, it is to be used in a constructive manner as to bring hope and cheer into the lives of others. This is a reasonable service, as an appreciation, as a duty, as an opportunity for expressing the divine in self.

Be expectant in the opportunities. These WILL present themselves in many ways.

Dear Edgar:

Received the reading last night and also your letter and the reading was so wonderful and your letter was so sweet. I’m glad I had the reading because I might have taken that other stuff and apparently it would have worked against the injections. I’m surely glad you didn’t tell me to stop the glandular injections [Eschatin] as they are so wonderful and I would hate to have to give them up. [2784] is getting the pills for me today and I will start them tomorrow. Will let you know the result. Anyway thanks a lot.

I was certainly impressed with the answer to the last question. Wasn’t it good? Read it, if you haven’t.

R2. 3/20/41 She requested Ck. Physical, saying she had just undergone another siege with “flu”, and that the last few times she had taken the Eschatin injections she seemed to get adverse results.
