-
GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes.
-
As we find, there are still those tendencies, those inclinations for the upsetting in the glandular system, from the lack of coordination in the impulses in the sensory system and the organs of same; and the fuzziness in the blood supply, as might be said produced by the poor glandular reactions.
-
If those suggestions that have been indicated would be followed along those lines outlined, we would have the better results.
-
To be sure, the activities from the proposed injections, - while they are rather caustic in their nature and reaction, - would prove helpful.
-
It would be well to begin with the smaller dose; one cc. administered often enough, and watching the effects until the system is being reacted upon by same, - and then judge as to the quantity and the periods it would be well to keep same, until there IS that reaction from the blocking, or the caustic reaction as SHOULD be the effect upon the genital activities, from the glands of the pelvis as well as the other portions of the body itself.
-
We would do that, then, in that way and manner.
-
And as for the periods of rest, a little exercise will be necessary; but within ten days the body should be able to return to regular activities which have been indicated.
-
Then keep the precautions and be in the open, and have the activities which have been indicated.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Should these injections be given together with the former instructions through this channel? (A) Former instructions as to diet and as to activities.
-
(Q) Have had sore throat which refuses to clear up. What should I do to eliminate this condition entirely? (A) This as we find is a part of the same reaction, you see; and the caustic reaction of the injections should be helpful; but a good thorough relaxation, as from a good masseuse or masseur, would be better, - with the general rubs for the superficial circulation.
-
We are through with this Reading.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 4/4/40 I guess you wonder what happened to me all of a sudden after getting along so well - Well the “flu” germ done bit me and at first I didn’t seem to have such a severe case but I got up too soon and had a relapse. I think when I had the relapse it upset my glandular system again because up until that time I didn’t feel awfully bad and it was so hard for me to come back. I’m getting some outdoor activity and as a matter of fact when I rest I lie on the glider on the porch covered with blankets so I am getting plenty of fresh air. Have gone back to work but can’t say that I have done much work. However, [2784] is giving me the injections as indicated and I’m telling everyone that I feel “fine” hoping that my system will react to the suggestion of mind.
The weather is getting nicer now and I’m sure this warm sunshine will help all of us.
Hope you and your family are well. I had to use all or practically all of my annual leave during this sickness, having been off four weeks, but we are coming to Virginia Beach this summer if I have to take leave without pay. We have definitely decided that.
[2784] wants me to ask Gladys if she has any suggestions in readings on how one can train themselves to get natural sleep. I sleep grand some nights but most of the time could get a job as night watchman!
Thanks again for the reading and will follow suggestions. I know those injections help me a lot.
Love to all

R2. 5/15/40 Ltr. to EC from [808]:
Dear Edgar:
I’m getting to be a very poor correspondent but I really am going to try to do better. We have been thinking about you a lot and wondering how you all are. I expect now you are enjoying the nice hot sunshine - It has been so cold here and now has gotten hot. Saturday night we went to a movie and I wore a winter coat - Sunday I was out in our yard without a coat. No spring at all, but then I welcome the summer with open arms - I love it!
I have been just feeling fine - It is almost too good to be true. I have to pinch myself every once in awhile to be sure I’m not just dreaming. You should see me - I look like powerful katrinka - I’ve gained between 8 and 10 pounds and if you don’t think I look hefty, you are mistaken!! You wait until we come down to the beach - You won’t know me. Everyone kids me about it, but really I’m rather proud of it. The fact that I feel so well makes me believe that I needed that extra weight for some vitality and as long as I have any vitality the weight is welcomed.
Haven’t copied any more jokes but just as soon as I do will send them to you.
[2784] is well outside of a cold that he is getting the best of. He wishes to be remembered to all and is talking about our trip to Virginia Beach. Expect it will be in August this year. However, that will give us something to look forward to.
Remember us to all
With love from us both,

R3. 6/8/40 Ltr. to EC from [808]:
I am feeling just fine (thanks to you) and you really don’t know how much I appreciate it. I noticed your suggestions for diet and have been trying to eat a raw vegetable salad every day. I am watching my calories now as I weigh 138, but try to eat the things that are good for me and yet cut down on the fattening things like desserts, etc. That is, the things that I can very well do without. Surely would like to have some more suggestions.
I don’t believe I sent these jokes to you, but if I did you can give them to someone else. If not, hope you enjoy them.
Give our love to Gertrude, Gladys, and all, and surely would love to hear from you when convenient.
Love from us both
