This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 8th day of November, 1927, in accordance with request made by her father, Mr. [2704].

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the relief and improvement of same. You will answer any questions I may ask you regarding same.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here - we have had this before. [See 852-1, Par. B1.]

3. Now, while the conditions assume some alarming aspects, yet those conditions as are being administered for the body are having results, and with the continued use of these, with the eliminations set up properly, by reducing temperature in the manner of keeping the body massaged with the alcohol along the spine and the base of brain, this will give relief for the body.

4. The effects of those conditions administered for the body are those producing the greatest trouble in the body, and these meet the needs of certain conditions - yet assuming, under the present condition, that of the acute effect of that being attempted to prevent in the body.

5. Do not allow the body to be burned with the fever to the extent that the lymph becomes deadened. Massage, after the reduction, with equal parts of olive oil and tincture of myrrh, over the whole of the lymphatic circulation especially, and along the centers in the spine.

6. Ready for questions.

7. (Q) What has caused this condition? (A) Just as given, that of the reaction from properties in the system as preventative coming as acute conditions. Do as we have given and we will bring, with the proper response, the better forces for the body.

Dear Mr.Cayce:-

“Words can not express our appreciation and thanks for the reading on [852].

“I have been so distressed over her illness and with one of the men in the office sick having to do his work and mine also. I have not had mind enough to write a letter.

“Aunt [265] said she would write and let you know we received the reading.

“[852] has been a very sick child, and as we had never had this doctor before it was a great relief to know he was giving her the proper treatment.

“We phoned Dr. House [Thomas B. House, M.D.] and he came over the same day we received your reading.

“We had a nurse with her four days.

“She is slowly improving but very weak.

“If I can ever render you a favor or be of any service to you in any way, I will be only to glad to do so.

“Hoping this finds you all real well and Edgar Evans improving.”
