This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at 1867 Kalorama Road, Washington, D.C., this 11th day of February, 1935, in accordance with request made by the uncle - Mr. [419], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. EC: Yes, we have the body; this we have had before, [852].

2. As we find, the conditions are ACUTE; arising from cold, and conditions in the system which have made for almost a suppression of the menses - that react through the sympathetic forces to a cardiac infection. These, in combination with the lack of proper gland secretions, cause the unseeming activity of the heart, those suppressions in the system, and the anxiety and uneasiness that is a result.

3. We would first begin with making the feet very warm, with mustard water or the like; and by giving a hot salts sitz bath.

4. And we would take internally the Atomidine twice each day, three minims before the morning meal and three minims before retiring. Keep this up until we see a decided change in the respiratory system; that is, so that the perspiration from anxiety and from nervous tension is relieved - and until the activity of the glands is shown. But take it in periods of a week, with a rest period of leaving it off for three days between same, see?

5. Also we would use the Radio-Active Appliance to the extremities for equalizing of the circulation through the pulsations that arise in same, attaching this to the opposite sides of the body. Use this for six weeks or longer, about an hour each day - preferably as the body rests, not while it is asleep; though if it goes to sleep, of course, it will be all right, but attach it when the body is just resting.

6. These, as we find, should bring relief for the conditions in the present.

9. (Q) Any organic heart trouble? (A) Rather repression in the nerves, as indicated, from repressions from cold and congestion, and lack of gland secretion - that has affected those to the secondary condition. However, if there are given those stimulations that throw the blood too far away, or to cause a dilation of same, why it would be a constitutional condition.

10. (Q) Then, a sitz bath and the hot foot baths would relieve the menses? (A) Would relieve the congestions, and the other properties to make for a balancing in the system.

Mind the diets, that these - of course - are body and blood building, but more of an alkalin reaction in the foods than any other. No hog meat at any time, save occasionally very crisp bacon; but no fresh hog meat of any kind.

11. (Q) What should be done regarding the spots on the body? [Vitiligo?] (A) As indicated, this condition is from lack of gland secretion. It is in the pigment of the skin, coming from lack of gland secretion or reaction to the circulatory system. This also, of course, is from a portion of the diet.

R1. 2/23/35 She wrote thanking EC for the rdg.: “It is rather hard to stay on a diet at school as all the sandwiches are of white bread and the food is highly seasoned. Since I have been taking the treatment, I already feel ten percent better. I haven’t had one of those spells with my heart in four days, and I also rest better at night. I haven’t begun with the battery yet as it didn’t come until this morning.”
