You will tell us if it is necessary for this body to take the Typhoid Fever serum for the prevention of Typhoid Fever that is an epidemic in New York at this time. You will also tell us if this same condition would be correct regarding his mother [106], his brother [137], and his brother’s wife [140] and child [143]. Will you also tell us, please, the cause of this epidemic?

EC: Now we find the epidemic as is prevalent in this place at this time has reached that stage where, for safety’s sake, better that the serum for prevention of Typhoid would best be taken by a great many. Where we find there is any condition that is in a given body, where pre-disposition is for trouble with digestive system, best that such be taken. As with [900], his mother [106], his brother [137], these we find would be necessary.

This plasmatic cell reducing condition as prevalent at the present time has many of the symptoms of Typhoid, yet with the examination of feces and of the sputum there would be found more of the Typhus prevalent than Typhoid, and the inflammation as is produced from these conditions are to the mesenteric system, producing then the inflammation throughout this whole portion of body.

Ice and manipulation will reduce these conditions, this inflammation, more than other treatments, when once it has taken hold. Ice on head to reduce temperature, manipulation, either osteopathically or neuropathically given, to equalize the circulation and the eliminations in system; letting all of the water be boiled, or the purer waters from systems than this water system, and let all water given be warm and carrying small quantity of elm and yellow saffron. These would reduce the conditions.

The cause of this epidemic we find comes from meats that have been introduced in this vicinity, that comes from old conditions found elsewhere.
