This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 6th day of April, 1928, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [900].

Time of Reading 5:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Dream Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [900]. This we have had before.

2. Dreams as come to the body come through those channels as has been outlined for the body.

3. In the physical we find some conditions not wholly satisfactory. Were the body to take plain soda water - half a teaspoonful to full glass of water - three times each day for two days, we would rid the system of these conditions that are causing distress, and bring about a better alkaline reaction throughout the body. [See 900-380, Par. R1.] Ready for dreams.

4. (Q) Sunday afternoon, April 1st. Saw the baby [142] holding his arm out stiff. I said to [136], “Don’t shake him up so much.” (A) (After long pause) Don’t get anything!

5. (Q) Of recent date. Seemed to shut ourselves off from Block, Maloney in our own business and altho it was small to start with and seemed to have many pillars in the way, I leaned out the window and told [2886] I’d make it grow. [2886] walked away as I said: “[2886] what is your objection? What is fundamentally wrong?” Then I crawled out and dangerously kicked a cigar off the edge. (A) This, as indicated in the vision, those conditions as have been contemplated in the physical mind as respecting separation and going on own hook, as it were. In the varied conditions seen, shows the associations as have been contemplated, and while these would bring much of a stabilizing condition to such undertaking; yet there would arise through that association some conditions that would be unsatisfactory, and would bring then that consternation, unless there were those securities in those channels that are so often associated in the mind with cigars. While there are other conditions that enter in such an undertaking, that feeling as of incapacitated to handle large businesses, large deals, large holdings; yet, as is seen from the great number of pillars and determination in self to see the business grow, this would be stabilized in and through those channels - were they kept as a unit, or in those ways that would insure the active advice of those so associated with cigar.

6. (Q) Would it be well to take [2886] in as partner, or if Federal plan falls thru falls thru (as it looks like it will), should [137] and I make the office changes of customers and carry on ourselves? Unless our business expanded very radically we should be able to finance it ourselves. We have, as given by Father Gary, told [2886] wait until later. Will we need, or should we take him in? (A) There are, as given, those conditions to be considered as just outlined, as well as there has been given that the needs of such conditions would, could, be supplied through other channels that would be more satisfactory, and that while these would bring some prestige in [2886]‘s association, yet beware, as yet, of those associations - as has been given.

7. (Q) Would [195] be a better partner for us? (A) As given.

8. (Q) The figure 60 regarding stock market and something about the stock Westinghouse Electric. (A) This, as seen, rather that of the indeterminate conditions as have existed with this particular stock, as seen in the number being 6 - 0 - or double strength with a weakness, and is to be considered such unless direct conditions or commands are given; though one well to watch, for some quick changes, fast changes, are yet to come with these - both for high and for low. Wait for direct commands.

“Many times I have used soda to stop colds, taking 1/2 teaspoonful of soda (as in 900-380, Par. 4) in 1 glass of water until 2 teaspoonsful have been taken. On the first sneeze I start this and have had no colds for two years, unlike the period before, when I kept a cold for most of the winter - always carrying 3 or 4 handkerchiefs.”
