This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 14th day of March, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - [900].
[Edgar Cayce; Linden Shroyer, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Time of Reading … Street, 10:00 P. M. Dayton Time. New York City.
-
LS: You will have before you the bodies of [900] and [137], located at the … Hotel, … Street, New York City, New York. You will also have before you the enquiring mind of [900], also the business relations with Herbert Son and Zucker. You will tell us which of the two propositions, one presented by Herbert Son, the other by Zucker, would be best for acceptance by [900] and [137], considering all circumstances and conditions at the present time. You will also give such other information as would assist [900] and [137] in their business relations at the present time.
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here of [900], with his enquiring mind, and those conditions as regarding business relations, associations and offers as have been made by Zucker and Herbert Son.
-
Some of these relations we have had here before, and the propositions have come about as has been given. In these we find the propositions have been made more to [137] than to [900], yet, as has been given, these propositions, these conditions, may be so co-related as to make them the better fore each of the individuals interested in the condition, in the advancement both of [137] and [900].
-
These propositions, one pertaining to conditions regarding the stock exchange and market, while other pertains to building properties and of real estate conditions, and of those natures regarding such conditions, yet these may be combined in such a manner and way that this may be used to the benefit of each without detriment to any, with the good of all.
-
Then, as we have given, not necessary that the offer of either be rejected, but that each may be in their estate and manner acceptable unto each, and by the relations as exist between these be made to be valuable to each.
-
Do that.
[GD’s note: Immediately after above rdg. EC volunteered a Ck. Physical for Mr. [900], without the suggestion being given for it. See 900-46.]
Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 3/14/25 See his letter under 900-43 Reports in re [900] and [137] being on rather “touchy fence just now.”
R2. 3/18/25 “Thank you very much for readings [900-47, 900-48] and manuscript. What progress do you think I have made along these lines?
“Now, there are several things I want to take up with you. Firstly, here is a matter of interest and proof. As given in the business rdg. while I was in Dayton [900-42, Par. 5-A], ten days after acceptance of Zucker proposition means would be raised for its completion. That, for the most part, has happened just as given. Herbert Son, however, wanted us to accept his proposition and with a view to the pending offer of Henry Son in real estate business I wanted to know which proposition was most expedient for our acceptance, Herbert Son’s or Zucker’s. Now the reading indicated Zucker’s proposition had to do with stocks, etc., and Herbert Son’s with real estate, whereas in reality both had to do with stocks, etc., and the real estate proposition being in contemplation or expected, based on conversations that took place between [137] and Henry Son (the latter Herbert’s father) last Fall. Even though we had accepted Zucker, we were still undecided, yet I explain this as an error in name only, as we had already accepted Zucker and the reading started from this point and disregarded Herbert’s offer as we had already accepted Zucker as the reading I took in Dayton advised us to do. The other proposition in the reading you sent me last referred to real estate offer made last Fall by Henry Son and the reading seemed merely to make a mistake in names Herbert and Henry. However, there is one point Henry made a conversational proposition last Fall and has not since renewed it. Does the reading mean that he will? You see, I am taking it up from the standpoint of the rdg. - your standpoint, rather than our business relations. These questions are brought up:
“1. Is it possible for the forces manifesting through you in psychic state to be mistaken in fact? 2. Is it possible for a wrong diagnosis or cure to be given? 3. Has your mental attitude, your thoughts on a subject any influence on a given reading? That is, has your normal conscious mind any influence over the subconscious which manifests and gives the information while you are in the condition?
“Based on the last reading can you think of some method of getting a reading to ascertain the facts of this matter? If you can, for our own study of the phenomena the reading ought to be taken and studied by both of us.” [He referred Mr. [551] for a Life Rdg.]
R3. 3/23/25 See 900-51 and 900-52 in re above [Par. R2] business propositions, and EC’s letter as follows:
“As to the questions as you suggest in the three as is noted in this letter, I am sure these have been covered in perhaps half a dozen other readings. Just how and which ones to refer you to, I would hardly know. I believe they were covered in some that were asked on questions in the Book [[3744] series], and I think if I remember correctly, the answer is they’re always correct when the suggestion, or the premise as set forth, is correct. If the premise is a surmise, the answer is a surmise. If the question is direct, the answer is direct, and there is no beggaring the question whatever. As to whether each and every answer is absolutely correct, under the correct premise, that I do not know. However, as I have often said of myself, I believe if there was no fault within me I would have sprouted wings long ago and remained in the Borderland, for as long as we are of the flesh we partake of those ills incident to fleshly conditions, and while we use fleshly attributes to communicate information, truth, or even life itself, we are liable to all of the laws, environments, etc., of the flesh. However, should you desire, that these three be taken again in some definite reading, either pertaining to this question, or any other information that may be obtained from time to time, I’ll be very glad to do this, then we may have an established fact to work from. However, I believe it is our own fault that the truths that have been set forth from time to time have not been correlated and set down under their respective headings.”
