-
GC: You will have before you [900], and Mrs. [106], of … St., New York City, and [137] and [140] of … St., New York City, and their contemplated trip to New Orleans, La. Should any of these be vaccinated for smallpox? If so, which ones? Will this trip be detrimental in any way to the physical health of [140] and [137]?
-
EC: There need none of these be vaccinated against smallpox. Better that such virus be discarded than used in bodies of these individuals. To ward against smallpox, best the body be kept clean and the diet of milk and much lettuce, and no fear of smallpox.
-
As to physical conditions of [106], well [that] those properties be kept at hand, as given for the conditions arising from car motion.
-
For [137], the trip will prove beneficial, provided not too much stimulants [are] taken. Let the body be governed by the own mind and not urged on by anyone.
-
[140], we find the trip would be well, change in the scenes and the conditions would be good. We will have some inconveniences through nausea. These may be assisted by keeping cinnamon and limewater at hand, or taking sips of these occasionally.
-
We are through.
