GC: You will have before you the reading given on May 17, 1925, on [137] and you will answer the following questions, as I ask them, regarding same.
-
EC: Yes, we have the reading and information as given here. The changes in the physical body are bettered at present. Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What foods has the body taken and what stimulants to so tax the liver and kidneys? (A) In this particular instance, we see this was a combination of salads and oils that acted with the stimulant as taken in caffeine in the system, with the conditions in the mental forces already overtaxed, and the debilitation in blood supply, brought the taxing to the system. The conditions to be overcome are of the specifics as given. The conditions in a general manner are conditions to be met rather than of the specific one as given. Hence the injunctions as have been given as to how the system must be kept in the manner, in the way, in which the body may better assimilate, better given the incentives for functioning throughout.
As to what and which food stimulants the body should take, the body through its mental forces should and will be able to control better than any other indication. Then, never force foods of any kind which the body feels should or would be of hindrance to the body. Never rejecting in food or stimulants the body desires for the upbuilding of the physical forces of the body. Knowing this, that the mental forces of the body are capable, able, willing, to give the correct answer to that which may be set before the body, and to desire same when the body keeps the mental in that frame wherein there is not a combative element against the powers that be.
- DO THAT. WE ARE THROUGH.
[The following questions were asked but not answered:
-
(Q) What specifically should he have done, and in the future do, to avoid like attacks?
-
(Q) What in stimulants and diet should the body eliminate and what add?
-
(Q) Will it be safe for [137] to go to New Orleans next week to his brother’s wedding? Safe from [137]‘s health’s standpoint?
-
(Q) Give that the body may now do to speed recovery.
-
(Q) Has mental or spiritual attitude anything to do with present illness?]
Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 5/25/25 “Well, after much anxiety and suffering I am again ‘toddling’ around the house nearly as good as new, merely waiting for fair weather to go out. My real trouble was a good old fashioned case of ‘quinsy’ which you probably know is an abscess in the throat. However, one doctor gave us a diphtheria scare and that upset the applecart. I used your inhalation remedy but judging from the second rdg. I didn’t use it properly. I want to thank you greatly for your help and when I have just a few more minutes I am going to write you all in detail.” [He requested rdg. for wife, [140], mother, [106], to see if any or all of them should be vaccinated for smallpox before going to La. for [900]‘s wedding. See under 900-76 on 5/27/25.]
R2. 5/25/25 Brother [900]‘s letter: “Just a line to tell you that [137] is much better. A specialist lanced his throat and with the emptying of the pus he gained relief. The terrible error was made by Eugene R. Kraus, the osteopath, which certainly proves that osteopaths should stick to osteopathy and not butt into bacteriology, for Kraus’s diagnosis was wrong and he had no business making any. He was called in to administer a treatment, nothing more. Anyway, the flurry is over and [137] is better - will return to business Tuesday if no setback occurs.”
R3. 9/3/25 He obtained his next Ck. Physical - See 137-19.

B3. 5/23/25 Brother [900]‘s letter: “Thank you for responding so promptly to wire regarding [137]. We surely were excited and one doctor certainly made a fool of himself. The worst of it is that he may cause us a lot of trouble. A specialist lanced [137]‘s throat and he now feels much better.”
