This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 30th day of December, 1938, in accordance with request made by the wife - Mrs. [489], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, giving the physical condition at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions which may be submitted, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes.

3. As we find, there are rather the complications. The weaknesses of the abilities of the system to eliminate the uric poisons cause a disturbance or breakdown through the greater portion of the activity of the assimilating system; producing the greater weakness and the irritations to the whole of the sensory forces of the body.

4. We would give small quantities of Watermelon Seed Tea; about half an ounce once each day for three to four days, leave off a few days and then begin again. The proportions would be a teaspoonful of the Watermelon Seed, ground or beat up, you see, to two ounces of boiling water. Allow this to steep as tea.

5. Massage into the area over the kidneys - that’s over the back, you see - and over the upper AND lower portion of the abdominal area, just what the body will absorb of an equal combination of Mutton Tallow (melted), Spirits of Turpentine and Spirits of Camphor. Let this come especially around under the liver and gall duct area in the upper portion. It would be well that hot flannels be put over same, but this may be objectionable to the body; so even if it is just massaged in, without the heat, it would be very beneficial.

6. And then we would have also the general stimulation for better conditions through the manipulation and correction along the cerebrospinal system, - as may be done by Phillips.

7. Do not overcrowd the system with foods. Have the liquids or semi-liquids as the diet for the present. Beef juices and the like are well, if taken in small quantities and often. Orange juice and the like would be well.

8. Ready for questions.
