This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of March, 1936, in accordance with request made by the husband - Mr. [877], Active Research Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
St. Francis Time of Reading Hospital 11:20 to 11:25 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Allison Island, Miami Beach, Fla. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes.
-
The outlook toward the south here is very good; not so well this morning towards the ocean and the bay.
-
These are merely those conditions that arise in the mental outlook of the body in the present.
-
As we find, unless complications arise (which will be during the next two days, should they arise at all), the body should progress very well.
-
The precautions that WE would give as indications to be mindful of:
-
While from some respects the ultra-violet rays of the sun are helpful to proper coagulation, these right after the effect of the anaesthesia do not work so well with the assimilating system; for they (the rays) tend to upset same.
-
Hence, while there should be plenty of air, we would keep rather in the shade and not in any of the sunshine.
-
The ultra-violet LIGHT that may be localized on portions of the body is much more preferable.
-
Be mindful that the proper assimilating forces are given. Very helpful in the present would be the Ventriculin (without the iron in the immediate, though may be changed to this a little bit later).
-
The general conditions are VERY satisfactory.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) If the ultra violet light is used, to what specific portion of the body should it be applied? (A) The upper dorsal area.
-
(Q) Any further advice? (A) We are through for the present.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 3/30/36 Husband, Mr. [877]‘s letter:
“As I telegraphed you, Mrs. [920]‘s operation was successful in every way, and she is progressing very satisfactorily. In fact, she was well enough to make it possible for me to fly up here from Miami yesterday to attend to some urgent business here. She will probably be another week in the hospital, however, and will, of course, stay on in Miami Beach until she is strong enough to come North. Both she and I very much appreciated your check reading for her, and her doctor fell in quite readily with the suggestions received in the reading. I am absolutely satisfied that she will soon be fully restored to health - thank God!”
R2. 6/30/36 She submitted questions for a Ck. Physical, saying:
“I am very slow in gaining back my strength and at times the same old pain returns in the lower part of my back, making it very difficult to stand after I have been sitting for any length of time.”
R3. 7/7/36 See 920-8.
