This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Hotel Victoria in New York City, this 14th day of August, 1931, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [943].

Time of Reading Hotel Victoria, 9:10 A. M. Eastern Daylight Savings Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [943] - this we have had before. In the physical forces of the body we find many changes from that as we last had here. In the acute condition that has arisen in the physical body, as we find, comes from those disorders in the caecum region, produced by irritation in the appendix region. This has brought about the distresses for the body. The tendency for the lack of the peristaltic movement has prevented, or caused the inflammation to arise. In and under the present condition, we would find that to relieve the distress by external applications, and by taking into the system those properties as would act with the mucus producing portions of the intestinal system, will relieve the disorder.

2. We would take regularly, all that the body WILL assimilate, that of olive oil, in very small quantities, for two to three days.

3. We would also apply, over the liver and the lower portion of the liver area, those of the castor oil packs, as hot as may be applied.

4. We would not take in the system, until there was a full cleansing of the alimentary canal, any solid or heavy foods.

5. We would not keep on the feet too much.

6. This, as we find, would remove in the present that of the disorder, or distresses.

7. We will find, that when this has MOVED - or the impaction as produced the first distress - were there small quantities of the ambrosia weed, with those of the wild ginseng combined together, it would be an active force in sustaining and keeping the proper activity in the mucus membranes of the intestinal system. These, as we find, would be made in THIS proportion, or way and manner:

8. Take preferably the green, or the dried (preferably green), Ambrosia Weed 6 ounces. This added to distilled water, allowed to boil for sufficient time that (when strained) the quantity would be 6 ounces of the water. To this we would add, then:

Wild Ginseng…1 dram, Indian Turnip…1/2 dram (these preferably dried). Reduce again until there are 4 ounces.

To this we would add:

Simple Syrup…2 ounces, Grain Alcohol…1 1/2 ounces.

The dose of this would be half a teaspoonful twice each day. This as a tonic. Ready for questions.
