This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his room in Hotel Victoria, New York City, this 15th day of August, 1931, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [943].

[Edgar Cayce; Gladys Davis, Conductor & Steno. Mr. [943] and wife, Wm. B. Cravis and wife, and others.]

Time of Reading Hotel Victoria, 12:30 Noon - Daylight Savings Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [943] this we have had before. In MANY respects we find the conditions are ON the improve. While were, or ARE, some tests taken AS in blood count will not show an improvement; rather as of a lower in the red blood count, but a PERCEPTIBLE change in the urea and gluten.

  2. In the conditions as we find in the caecum and the peritoneum regions, this inflammation is gradually being absorbed. If care and attention is given, that there is not too strenuous an exercise, nor too much activity in the matter of the diet as to cause an over amount of the MUCUS in the colon, as to cause inflammation again, this should pass off within the next twenty-four to forty-eight hours. Keep quiet, drink plenty of water. Do not take heavy foods. Keep up the oil, that is an intestinal stimuli, and keep the eliminations general; not getting too cold nor too hot. Do not overtax the system. We will find, by the second to third day, a normalcy may be resumed in the body activities. Ready for questions.

  3. (Q) What was the white cell count yesterday? (A) ABOVE the normal.

  4. (Q) Will this be given in figures? (A) This is had! Why give it here? We may give it!

  5. (Q) Will an operation be necessary in the future? (A) Will he live until tomorrow? That depends upon conditions. To foretell or forecast what his activities would be, would be an impossibility. Should the body take within the system, or produce that which would produce inflammation, or SHOULD there be an excess of inflammation in this region, there SHOULD be an operation. If the body is cleansed, and normalcy is resumed, there should not be operation.

  6. (Q) Outline specific diet for the next three days. (A) This would be altered or changed as the progress, or the conditions alter or change. We would have rather that of the liquid diets in the next twenty-four hours, as of orange juice, strained vegetable juices, and the like. A LITTLE coffee, but not too much, for the TANNIN would be astringent, that MIGHT not be helpful under strain. Then, in the NEXT twenty-four there may be taken those that may be termed as semi-liquid diets, as of coddled egg, or of those that carry the more gluten or proteins, and this GRADUALLY increased - but DO NOT GORGE the body at any time!

  7. We are through for the present.
