This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the David E. Kahn home, 44 West 77th St., Apt. 14-W, New York City, this 11th day of October, 1935, in accordance with request made by the mother - Mrs. [1073], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mrs. [601].

1. EC: We have the body here, [988]. While there are at present the indications of a great deal of pain, the lack of the normal responses from the applications that have been made, these - as we find - are rather the after effects of - and the adjustments of the bodily functionings to - the stress or strain under which the body has gone, through the applications of the high frequency electrical forces, or from the X-Ray applications.

2. However, with the continuance of the enemas to CLEANSE the whole of the alimentary canal - rather often until the fecal forces are entirely eliminated that have caused and do cause pressures upon the system - we would find that the reactions from these influences or activities would be disseminated. But they have really aided, as we find, in separating or in breaking up the tissue involved in the tumorous conditions that exist in the lower pelvic organs and in the area about the end of the spine - or the coccyx area, and in the rectum itself.

3. And if there will be used the poultices made from fresh crushed grapes, across the lower part of the abdomen, close about the groin and the pubic bone, these will aid in counteracting those conditions; drawing off the tendencies for the concentration.

4. These would aid greatly with the breaking up or disseminating by the drainages being set up through the activities of the lower or disseminated rays from the colored - or the ultra violet broken up in the colored rays.

5. Together with the manipulations that would come with the gentle massage osteopathically, these should overcome and prevent this concentration of poisons from becoming so great as to necessitate operative measures.

8. (Q) How often and for how long should the grape poultices be used? (A) About an hour every nine or ten hours, or about twice each day.

And these would be kept up for two or three days. Then if it becomes necessary, and the pain continues, repeat again.

9. (Q) What should be done to aid in control of legs? (A) The manipulative forces and the activities as indicated should correct this condition.

10. (Q) Why the numbness in the left leg? (A) Pressures produced by the tumorous forces in the ileum and in the coccyx plexus.

11. (Q) What should be done for weakness and loss of weight? (A) This will gradually be replenished and rebuilded by the forces as will naturally produce the regulations of assimilated forces in the body.

12. (Q) Should the treatment be continued as started Wednesday? (A) This, as we find, would be most helpful; for it is a portion of that we have indicated - the use of the colonic eliminations, and the colored rays.

13. (Q) Colored rays referring to the spectroscome (?)? [Spectro-chrome therapy?] (A) The same; referring to the rays, as indicated.

14. (Q) Please give detail as to the electrical treatments, for benefit of the doctor who is cooperating. (A) Use the colonic activities and the electrical forces following same. These would be (the electrical treatments) with the spectroscome (?), or the ultra-violet broken up by the green and blue light - or these are the same as found in the spectroscome (?) - in the manner as begun.

These, with making the gentle corrections osteopathically two or three times a week, and the other applications as suggested, should bring relief.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

It is quite gratifying that there should be such a definite coincidence of judgement as to treatment of [988], as there seems to be between us, and therefore to his benefit.

To-day, I find a very definite improvement in his facial color as well as an improvement in his eye color and expression. It seems that the X-ray treatments were mostly the cause of the loss of control of the bladder and rectal sphincters. Yet the tumor may have some effect as well. To-day he evidenced a slightly greater control of the rectal spincter, which allowed the irrigating fluid to enter the colon to a higher level, which, of course, is what we are trying to accomplish.

Tomorrow, I shall apply the Sine wave treatment for the first time. In my experience the electrical modality works much better after some detoxication is accomplished, but not before. I shall also begin the manipulation, (spinal).

I am writing especially to establish a contact with you, as to promote greater cooperation, and also to bring to your attention a supplementary powerful germicide with which great success has been had in many stubborn and resistant conditions. Even cancerous cases have responded to its administration, as well as T.B., Syphilis, and many other infectious diseases. This is Hydrochloric Acid, which can be given orally, intravenously, intramuscularly, and locally. This acid being the only inorganic acid in the body, apparently is the greatest single factor toward maintaining resistance in the body, and hundreds of physicians of a progressive spirit have verified it in its application. Now, Mr. Cayce, please give me an expression as to what you receive concerning giving this to [988].

Mrs. [1073] tells me that you are expected here in two weeks. I shall be glad to have the pleasure of meeting you in person and if your valuable time permits, would appreciate a little chat with you.

I think I have covered all the necessary points. If you have any suggestions or advice, I will appreciate them direct to me.
