EC: Yes, we have the body here, [992]. Now, we find, while the body in a general way and manner is very good in many respects, there are specific conditions and tendencies in the physical forces that were they corrected in the present might more easily be done now than were this allowed to become chronic, or for some unseeming condition to arise from the disorder that would make an ACUTE condition that would prove detrimental to the better physical forces of the body.
-
These, then, are the conditions and tendencies as we find them with this body, [992]:
-
In the BLOOD SUPPLY - This we find below the normal in the ability to create the proper formations for the better, or perfect, coagulations in the system. Hence abrasions.
-
In the NERVE SYSTEM - We find there are specific centers that are involved, from impingements that make for tendencies of a weakness in the muscular forces of the body, as indicated in the peritoneum, or in the walls of the intestines themselves - walls that HOLD the intestines themselves. These allow the folds of the walls to overlap, and give an easy access of there being hindrances in perfect activity through the intestinal tract, leaving poisons.
-
In those of a SYMPATHETIC condition, also we find there are the tendencies for a fullness in the upper portion of the body, through the lung and larynx area. Not that, as yet, that makes for irritation, other than as of spasmodic conditions and easy for congestion to form, which makes for those tendencies in the face and the soft tissue, with the conditions in the blood supply, to produce in the antrum, in the soft tissue of face and nostrils, those conditions that become aggravating, when there is shortness of breath, or when a little cold or congestion is seen. These, as we find, are from IMPULSES in the 4th, 3rd and 5th dorsal, and in the 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th dorsal. These would be corrected, as we find, through the OSTEOPATHIC manipulations and adjustments to such an extent as to allow the body to BUILD that muscular force as necessary to create a better equilibrium in the torso, as well as build for a blood supply through the proper setting up of drainages in the system as to overcome these tendencies. While these do not trouble the body except at periods, or that in the torso, when there is a strain or an over-activity of the body, either from cold or from too much heat - and the same is a SYMPATHETIC reaction in those of the head, face and bronchi.
-
In the manipulations, there will be found also that occasionally there will be the necessity of using those local applications as a cleansing force, either for the intestinal system or for the soft tissues or mucus-producing forces or system of the body. These will be met by one that would apply those corrections for the body. This done - there must be persistence, there must be consistence, but - it may be done PROPERLY, and the body be a near normal functioning organism, capable, able, to accomplish much in this experience. Ready for questions.
-
There will be the general manipulations, as well as corrective forces applied for these correcting conditions, see? There would be also the outlining of the diet by the one manipulating, see? For the proper blood NOURISHMENT, as well as muscular BUILDING forces for the body. This can BEST be done by one MAKING such adjustments, to make same COORDINATE WITH that being accomplished physically.
-
We are through for the present.

R1. 6/20/31 EC’s letter to Mr. [279], Mr. [992]‘s brother:
“Your letter of the 12th came, and - as you know, we had to make the appointment for [992] on yesterday afternoon. I am enclosing a copy of same. While this does not give a name to the condition, as it does in very, very few, if ever - unless asked - I am sure that if you will have Dr. Conger [W. Millwood Conger, D.O.] go over this he will explain to you how the infection from the intestinal system, where poisons are loosened, affects the soft tissue in face, head, producing the disorders throughout the system. This, I am sure, will hardly be in line with the medic’s viewpoint, but I believe - from experience in many such cases as [992]‘s seems to be - this is in line with the osteopath’s viewpoint, for the specific centers are indicated as being channels where the nerve forces or plexus indicate the disorder. To be sure, I’ll be rather anxious to hear what the doctor’s report is, and what [992] thinks about it.
“I am sure, [279], you will find by experience, there is a great deal of difference in the information that is gotten if the individual desiring same makes a personal request. WHY this difference, we DO NOT know. We simply KNOW it exists.
“It certainly was very fine to have you with us, and I don’t know how to tell you how much I appreciate your taking the time to come down and get better acquainted, and to know the family and those that surround the work. I’m sure you will know from meeting them as to whether their sincerity is a sham, or surface, or whether it is from a deeper feeling from having had an experience or a vision by their contact and association with the work; for what we are speaks so loud few ever hear what we say.
“I was glad to talk with you, too, on the phone last evening. I’m sure you enjoyed meeting [903], [257]‘s wife, and knowing the family better. She is certainly the kind of person that grows on one, as they know her better.
“I’m anxious to know more of the details of the proposition on at Virginia Beach. I’m looking forward to your coming down about the first. You, no doubt, will not find me living at the same place. Just where, yet, is not fully determined. I possibly may be farther up the beach, right in front of the old hospital building, but you will be able to locate me by phone or by getting in touch with the girls over at the house - Sister and Sarah Hesson - if I shouldn’t hear from you before that time. My good friend Mr. Blumenthal has demanded his house by the first of July. I know this will make [417] want to bless me out for not going ahead and doing what he suggested. There are a great many more, I am sure, that will feel the same way. However, I CANNOT bring myself to do such a thing. I feel that I am being treated rather badly. However, I am hoping that I don’t hold any grudge or hard feelings of any kind towards anyone. I cannot see that it is right to mess a work of this kind, if its source IS in the divine, with bad promises and the law. If it IS God’s work, there will be found those that will see that it (the work) moves on. I know I am only the channel, and others who are benefited by the results must do the carrying on. I do not want to appear the willy-nilly sort of a fellow, but I had rather be tramped on a thousand times than to tramp on anyone once.
“Thank you for your interest. I want to assure you of our sincere appreciation of you and your kindly feeling for us…”
R2. 6/20/31 Brother [279]‘s reply in re 992-1:
”…Perhaps I sounded a little disappointed to you over the phone last night. You see, I was so anxious to have some mention in the reading about this skin condition of my brother’s! However, I feel certain that when we receive the reading and if he follows out treatment advised - well - I think it’s the thing! He is supposed to have psoriasis, for the last twenty to twenty five years…”
R3. 7/16/31 Mr. [279] was present for 992-2.
R4. 4/24/93 Donna Marie Kenworthy’s letter:
A.R.E. P.O. Box 595 Virginia Beach, VA 23451
Dear A.R.E.,
Enclosed you will find a copy of a testimonial letter I sent to Pariser Dermatology Specialists, after learning that they, in conjunction with Eastern Virginia Medical School, were conducting a study on eczema. After reading my letter, you will understand my pleasure in writing it in the first place, and in now requesting that you forward it to Dr. John Pagano. I have been eczema free for around a year now. I owe Dr. Pagano my deep gratitude.
Please feel free to make a copy of the letter for your own records. After all, I was able to receive this information by attending a small conference that you sponsored last year at the Cavalier. I extend my appreciation to you.
With love and light, [signed] Donna Marie Kenworthy

To Whom It May Concern:
After seeing your advertisement for eczema sufferers, I phoned and spoke to your receptionist, Sheryl. We agreed that since I cured my eczema I was not a candidate for your study, but rather that I should inform you how I achieved my cure.
A year ago I was suffering from the worst case of eczema that I have had the unhappiness to endure. In fact, for the past several years, I had only had occasional and somewhat mild outbreaks. Cortisone creams and ointments were totally ineffective. For the first time in my life, I developed a scaly rash at my elbows even, which looked more like psoriasis than eczema. The situation was very depressing.
During the time that the situation was at its worst, I went to a lecture and slide presentation given by Dr. John Pagano, who had written a book on healing psoriasis. He passed out a recommended diet, which advised staying away from a group of foods known as nightshades, such as: Tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, and all sorts of peppers. Well, the one thing in my regimen which was different was that I had developed the habit of eating large amounts of eggplant during the time of my eczema outbreak.
After eliminating all nightshades from my diet, all signs of eczema disappeared. I am also very careful about not consuming food that contributes to acid stomach. I have noticed that whenever I have frequent heartburn, my hands feel more sensitive, without actually breaking out in any kind of rash. Furthermore, since I am bothered by acid indigestion, my doctor prescribed a drug called Pepcid, which works beautifully. My stomach and my hands feel better than ever. I believe that there is a connection between the assimilation of certain foods and eczema…
I appreciate your taking the time to peruse my letter. What’s nice about this remedy is there is no danger from harmful side-effects from steroids. Also, I would like to mention that when I do take antacids, I only consume calcium based, not aluminum based, forms of this medicine. I hope Sheryl’s sister has good luck with this regimen. Please thank Sheryl for listening to me so patiently. She has a very pleasant manner.
Most cordially yours, [signed] Donna Marie Kenworthy

B1. 6/12/31 Brother [279]‘s letter: “I am very anxious for you to give this Physical Reading because of certain conditions which I do not want to mention before the reading, but which I am sure will be understood by you after you take the reading. I want my brother to realize that the reading will show us 100% your own contribution through the divine power given you, and not by any suggestion given through me. With this reading there will be no questions unless your wife deems a question would be necessary or advisable…”
