This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 30th day of January, 1936, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [1007], through Mr. [877], Active Research Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Doctor’s Time of Reading Hosp., 170 Taken 12:00 to 12:15 Noon E. End Ave., Set 11:00 to 12:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. N.Y.C. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [1007].

2. As we find, disturbing conditions in the better physical forces of the body in the present, while somewhat on the improve, are still in such a condition where they might become acute - and more distressing than at present.

3. The disturbances arise, as we find, from a general condition; an acuteness arising from infectious forces producing disturbances in the blood stream that become very aggravating to many portions of the functioning system, thus depriving them of the abilities for their better coagulation, their better building of resistances; making for a weakness and a temperature that becomes disturbing at times.

4. In the activities for help or aid, then, these general conditions must be taken into consideration, as well as the more specifics that arise from the infectious forces in the blood stream of the nature that become destructive to those particular portions of the stream known as the leucocyte or strept within the stream causing that running together - or that very effect from which it takes its name, of forming portions of the red blood cellular forces with the leucocyte to form coagulations in portions. This may be indicated from those very conditions in the lung supply, or in the lung forces themselves, or in the torpidity of the liver and the activity of the GLANDS that make for the greater secretions for blood supply in the system.

5. Hence the quickness of pulsation, the disturbance to the normal temperature, the sensations that occur for the loss of the activative force between consciousness and a semi-conscious activity; the tendency for the dreamy feelings that come to the mental forces of the body.

6. Then, we find a condition of general debilitation; the specific being an infectious force that arises from a general condition - or a specific condition from a general activity in the liver and its functionings together in the hepatic circulation.

7. We would keep much of that - ALL of that - being applied, for the adding to the system of resistances, in adding to the system the enzymes that may make for the bodily resistance in the system.

8. But we would add very small quantities of Animated Ash, followed with the Ultra-Violet Ray. This would enable greater resistances to be created in the respiratory system and in the general blood supply, through the very activity of the oxygen that arises from the effects of same upon the system itself.

9. We would take one-eighth grain of the Animated Ash once a day, then, or twice a day if the condition becomes more disturbing. Empty the powder from capsule on tongue and wash down with water; do not take IN capsule.

10. Three to five minutes after the Ash is taken, use the Ultra-Violet Ray for a minute or a minute and a half, at least forty-eight inches from the body, along the spine - over the back portion of the lung area and the respiratory system. Use preferably the Mercury Quartz Light, rather than the Carbon.

11. And these, with the general activities, will bring about greater resistances.

12. Ready for questions.

13. Later, when the body has recovered more from the effects of these conditions, a gentle stimulation through the activities of the glands to become purified by the use of other influences - as may be given then - will prove, as we find, most helpful to the body. But the manner and quantity of such stimulation would depend upon how the condition reacts from the present administrations. Hence, we would give these later.

14. Do those in the present as suggested, then, and continue with those being administered. The care for the general assimilation and eliminations should be taken as to restore same to nearer normal. Add the Animated Ash and the Ultra-Violet Ray following same, as indicated.

15. We are through for the present.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

I had a very nice talk with Mrs. [1007] Sunday afternoon in her room at the Doctors’ Hospital. She was thrilled, to say the least, with her reading. Unfortunately, her family doctor is of the old school, and while admitting that the diagnosis is excellent, does not yet believe that anyone could prescribe as well as he himself. Mrs. [1007], herself, while believing down deep in her heart that the reading has prescribed the proper treatment, has not yet arrived at the point where she has sufficient courage to oppose her family doctor. However, she has made up her mind to get free from the hospital as quickly as possible and quietly follow the treatment prescribed in her reading, even if she has to play tricks on her doctor to do so.

I suggested that as soon as she did get free enough to do so that she go to Dobbins, as he is so familiar with cases for which you have given readings and would be able to guide her in following your reading for her.

When she is actually free, she would like a check reading, just to see what should be done at that actual time. She will let me know and I will, of course, communicate with you. Meanwhile, she has sent me a check for $25., which she asked me to send to you in advance. This, of course, is in excess of the amount required for a check reading, but she knows this and has deliberately made it a larger sum to show her appreciation.

Please tell Hugh Lynn that I did not feel that Mrs. [1007] was yet well enough for me to discuss with her our plans for Health Home Remedies. However, I am much encouraged by her confidence in the work of the Association, and feel sure that as soon as she is well enough for me to talk freely with her we can count on her support for the Corporation as well as for the Association.

R3. 7/19/37 Mrs. [1007] requested a Life Rdg. for her son, Mr. [1416], and for her grandson, young [1417], saying: “I am very well and completely recovered my health.”
