Protestant) This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Virginia, on this 19th day of September, 1933, in accordance with request made by self - Edgar Cayce.

1. (Q) GC: First, Tues. Morn, Sept. 19th - a copy of which I hold in my hand.

Dream not read]: I saw myself not as a physical being, but knew that I was part of the whole order of things. Yet, I was only a little snail crawling around on the ground, and recognized that there were many others that were snails also that would eventually be human beings. There were many human beings I didn’t know, but I knew they were just occupying different bodies at that time.

Then I saw myself (as the snail) eaten by something else, that I had been taught to fear or to expect to be destroyed by.

Then I saw myself as a physical human being, with many human beings who had been snails with me; and many of those who had been human beings were now snails.

I saw myself, as a human being, pass out of the physical body with a fever brought on by eating something which had been infested by the larva of the snail.

Next I recognized myself as a fish swimming in the ocean. There were ships and boats sailing over me. I was able then to communicate with other fish that were of the same variety as myself. Here I saw only very few of the people with whom I had been associated as a physical body. I saw many of my own kind caught in nets, and hooks that were used by men. Finally I saw myself caught in a net, after following several other fish of my kind. We were taken in an enormous net. I saw myself prepared for food, and gradually lost consciousness.

Again I became a physical being, and associated with many more individuals with whom I had been associated as human beings before. Very few of these people had been with me as a fish. I had to do with a lot of cattle, and came to know that I was among those looked after by David, the king of Israel; though he was a shepherd and not a herdsman. I saw him quite often looking after his sheep; and I was changing into a cow, how I didn’t know; I merely recognized that I was a cow. Later I had the experience of knowing the feelings of the mother-cow, as I was a mother myself and had a little calf. The calf was scared by the dog that David had with him tending the sheep, which disturbed me (as a cow) very much. I saw him save the calf and bring it back to me for me to take care of, and every time I saw the dog I was enraged at it for trying to harm the calf.

Then I realized I was a dog; didn’t know I had died or changed from a cow; but I was a dog and tending the sheep. Then I realized the difference between the dog and the feeling of distrust the dog has for the cows generally, and I saw many cows that had been people I had known. I seemed to be a very good dog, for I was eventually taken to be in the circus, where I saw many people I had known before as snails, fish, cows and human beings; and I felt the elation of being thought of as a very remarkable and wonderful dog. I had a great desire to make known to all the people my own experience, but could only talk in the dog language. With the number of animals associated in the circus, I recognized the feeling that exists between the cat family and the dog family. Then, in performing one of my acts, in which I had to go through a hoop, I broke my leg; as someone - not intentionally - had misplaced the platform from which I was to jump through a ring (the ring being formed from a grape vine, as the circus was a long time ago and not anything like what we have today). So, I remember very distinctly the man taking a sword (more like a spear) and sticking it through my side, into my heart, to put me out of my misery; which I thanked him for doing.

Again I was a man, and among those guarding the gates in Rome. Greece? See 294-8 & 294-19 in re Troy] I saw all the fighting, being a guard at the gate. My attendant on the other side of the gate (as the gate opened from the center) I recognized as the one I now know as [5453], but he was much bigger physically than I. I wore a garment that would be called something of a toga today. My trousers were composed of a cloth wrapped around me, gathered and pinned in the middle between my legs. Then another square piece of cloth with a hole for my head dropped over my shoulders. I made armholes in this piece, so that my arms could come through and not have to throw the garment out of the way; which method was afterward adopted by most of the army (or the people, for I didn’t recognize them as an army). I saw the battle between Hector and Achilles, recognizing these two as the individuals I now know as [5717] and [900]. They were both beautiful of countenance. Both had matted black ringlets on their heads, which reminded me of Medusa. The hair seemed to be their strength. I noticed that Achilles was very hairy, while Hector only had hair on his neck - which was a different color from the hair on his head. I saw Hector dragged through the gate which I was guarding, into a large arena; and was dragged around the arena several times. Although he was losing, and had lost, quite a bit of blood - leaving the ground and stones bloody as he was dragged along, I noticed that he hadn’t wholly lost consciousness. Eventually, the horses - in turning very swiftly, with Achilles driving - caused Hector’s head to be dashed against the pillar or the gate near me, and his brains ran out. Before he had even lost the life, or the quiver of the muscles and nerves, I saw the carrion birds eat the great portions of his brain.

Again I passed out, for some reason, and was in the unseen world (from the physical manifestations). I was seeking some way or manner in which I might come back into physical being, and seeking to find others. There were many souls near me who had been in physical bodies, yet very few that I recognized. Finally I did meet someone I had known before, so we decided to come to a mother bird - and we were hatched out by a little jenny wren, as tiny little birds. Then, after we grew up, near the same place where we were hatched out, we built a nest and had a brood of six little birds; then an old cat got them. We were very much distressed, and swore vengeance on the whole cat family.

Then I recognized that I was again manifesting in the material world as a man, very anxious to find the one who had been with me as a little bird the time before. It seemed the time of Columbus’ discovering of America, because I was among the people in the land when Columbus came; then I met the individual among the people with Columbus who had been with me as a bird. We were anxious to make a trip on the boat with the people who had come ashore, because we seemed to be the only ones who could talk with them. But we were not allowed to. Then we attempted to get back to the mainland, from the island. A storm came up, and we were drowned.

Next I came into the earth as a man, still in America, at the time of the Civil War. I knew there was a war going on between the north and south country, and that I was in or about the place where I was born in the present. I noticed the home where I was born this time, and the changes - there were more woods then. There were many more people associated with me here that I had known as snails, fish, cows, cats, dogs and sheep - and they were all about me. I started off to see one of the armies where many soldiers were gathered, to find someone I had known before in the various manifestations. Someone told me I had better watch the dogs, cats, and cows that I would meet on the road over which I would go. In going through the great woods I met some of all these, and I could talk in their own language; and I recognized them as being individuals whom I know today. Here I awoke.

(A) EC: Yes, we have the enquiring mind, EC, present in this room, and the dream experience by this body.

Dreams, as indicated, are of different natures; or have their inception from varied causes.

In this particular experience or vision may be seen the entity-mind, or soul-mind, seeking - through the varied experiences of the entity - for the kindred thought, that is presented in the emblematical manner of the soul-entity contacting that as is seen of the one force which manifests itself in a material world; and brings - with the activity of that force - an emblematical condition of the mental attributes of a soul.

Hence, in the varied development experienced by the body, there may be seen all forms or characterizations of the result of an influence upon that force that is termed or designated by man as being of one force, or one source, from which all manifested forms may take their activity, as in the relationships of that known as the first law in nature - which is, in an earthly manner, at variance with spiritual law; yet, as experienced by the varied scenes of man’s associations with the activities, the result depends upon what the soul of man does about that IT (the soul) knows concerning the laws, or the APPLICATION of laws, of or toward the first cause; or as to the PURPOSES for which that activity comes into being, and the activity’s relative position to man’s becoming aware OF the spiritual force in a material world.

Hence, the lesson or the application, is that:

The soul of the entity is seeking, through such, to find - as it were - the manners of presenting that which may become Truth, Knowledge, Intellect, or the impulse or impelling influence in the experiences of those who may receive instruction or direction through those channels of associations in the material plane in the present.

2. (Q) Should this be presented in any literature? (A) This is for the entity’s or soul, or body’s, own interpretation and enlightenment.

For, as seen in the manner in which certain associations were sought, and the environment in which the activity of a soul force sought to know the associations and the understanding of the impelling influence in that termed Nature, or elements, or Life in its manifested varied forms; from the lowest to the highest; and the paralleling of many in the various aspects, as well as seeking out those associations for the relationships that brought the understanding of those propagations in the material activities of an earth’s sphere or plane.

3. (Q) Second, Tues. Morn, 10/25/32 - a copy of which I hold in my hand.

[Dream not read]: I had a pleasant dream and was going into the office to tell it; Miss G. and H. L. were writing on the typewriter, while Mil was reading from a phonograph record with a trumpet and G. was looking at what she was doing. I snatched the thing and threw it on the floor, saying they hadn’t asked me about it and I didn’t want such a thing used in that office. Mil got mad, said she was going home. I said, “Alright - that will only leave 3 of us, but it’s alright!” Then an enormous body of a man came down over the whole room, spreading his hands over us as if in protection. I said, “That’s the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Try and talk.” Everyone began talking in a different tongue, so that none could understand the other. [Gen. 11:7]

(A) As we have given, these should be followed more closely.

This has passed.

R10. 2/16/34 Friday a.m. after 2:00 o’clock, Edgar Cayce had the following dream: [5/24/39 EC wrote a version of this dream to Mrs. [1468].]

I was on my way to a camp; had a strap over my shoulder with a little case which reminded me of a case for spy glasses, but I knew I had a message in it that I was to carry to whoever was the commander of the army where I was going. It was rough climbing over the mountain. I came down to the camp very early in the morning; it was just getting light. As I came down into the little ravine I knew there was a stream of water not wider than a person could step over, but I saw a host of men dressed in white; white shoes, trousers, coat and helmet; they each had two straps over their shoulders, one a large canteen-looking container, and they were in groups of four, where they had a fire with a little skillet of some kind over the fire. They made the fire from something they poured out of the canteen; it looked like sawdust, but it was red, green, and brown and might have been ground cork or sawdust. Out of the other can they poured something into the pan, and when they stirred it together it looked like an omelette, or just something good to eat, but I didn’t know what it was. I saw no arms, guns, swords or anything of the kind, yet I knew it was an army. I didn’t know anyone, but all up and down the ravine I could see the people preparing their breakfast in groups of four. And I asked them where the man in charge was. His tent was farther up or down the ravine. I could see a great white tent in the distance. One here and there joined in showing me the way to go. After a while I came to a place where, over to the right, there was another little ravine that turned off to the right. And as we got just opposite this (myself, and those that had come following me), we heard from out in the darkness someone walking on the sticks; we could hear the sticks break, and we stopped to listen. There appeared a host of people dressed in dark; not dark skin, but their clothing was dark; not black, but dark gray, browns, and the like; all their wrappings were dark.

Then an angel of light stood between us so that we could not see the crowd or group of dark people. Then there appeared the angel of darkness. The angels’ figures were very much larger than ours, as men, taller, heavier; of course, their countenance was very much brighter. When the angel of darkness appeared he was dark like the people he was leading, but very much larger. His wings were something like bat wings, yet I knew they were neither feathers nor just flesh, but the means of going fast wherever desired. The wings appeared to be from the loins to the shoulders, rather than just something growing out of the body; both in the angel of darkness and the angel of light. The angel of light had wings something like doves’ wings, but extending from the loins to his shoulders, leaving the arms and legs free.

The angel of darkness insisted that he should not stand in the way, but demanded that there be a fight between someone he would choose and one that the angel of darkness would choose. Then there was between the two hosts a place cleared away, something like an arena, and I was chosen as the one to fight with the hosts from darkness. And we were wrestling. I felt that I hadn’t delivered my message, and I didn’t know just what I would do about it; that I had waited so long and I hadn’t told them what I had come for, and I wondered why they had chosen me. I could still feel the strap and little package; I only had the ONE package and wondered why I hadn’t been hungry, as the others seemed to have to eat, but I only had the message to carry. Then I began to wonder if my strength was to fail me, if the imp or child of darkness was to put me down in the dirt, it would be an awful thing, but I knew if I could remember one word to say that he couldn’t, and I tried and tried to think and couldn’t find it; and I couldn’t remember what had been written in the message that I was to take.

Finally, as if just from out the center of me, there came the words which I spoke aloud: “And Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world!” As I said that, every one of the darkness fell back and there was a great shout that went up and down the ravine from the people in white. And as they fell back, the leader or angel of darkness (as the one that I was wrestling with fell away) reached out his left hand and struck me on my left hip.

That woke me; and I had an awful pain in my hip.

Edgar’s dream:

The purpose of it all is to impress that anyone or any people following the True Faith can overcome evil, - that death as well as life is victory. The powers of darkness have no dominion over one believing that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is with them always.

He, Edgar, is one fighting on the side of Light - fighting to help overcome dark. He and they are symbolized by white uniforms. Because of his own personal equipment equipment does he not need the accoutrements of the other soldiers - one packet over one shoulder - not two. He does not need the usual support of sustenance for battle, he has that within him that ranks him as a leader. The others naturally follow him but a few at a time. At length will greater and greater numbers be guided with him until at the end will he seem to be leading the entire host. The powers of darkness can overcome the soldiers of light, followers of Jesus Christ even though they are fed by the Bread of Life. Unless the leader the one to guide has in his possession the right view, the right thought, the right force to use. It is, “Lo I am with you always to the end.”

Here we have one equipped with all the attributes to successfully combat the forces of darkness, leading others less well equipped and at the proper moment does he command the Supreme Force, the Supreme Being to give him that strength needed in order that by this power he may save the great company that would otherwise be lost.

Let there be no doubt that that is as it should be. Did not the Son come into the world to save the world? Are not those chosen from time to time to carry on specifically his work, to keep the white armor from being soiled, to hand down the symbols of truth and right and love unharmed by contact with evil. Such a one has been visited. This do in remembrance of me.

1. Climbing is also a necessary prerequisite to holding a post of trust or leadership. Has Edgar not climbed a long way, - well does he deserve to be in a position of guidance to others.

2. At early dawn are minds alert and bodies fresh. Then is no accumulation of the day’s influences, there is then no built up opposition to go counter to the best advice. A new and great change should always be weighed and considered in the light of the rising sun. Then have the forces of light the power, in the ascendency. At noon are the forces of light and dark about equal and so again at midnight. Edgar’s coming was well chosen and he did do this as portrayed.

3. Four is strength. Four corners to a house, four sides to a maeasure or bin, four need not to lack in battle, one could be dismayed and yet the three go on. The four preparing the food represent the fourfold force written in mankind, - body, spirit, mind, matter.

4. He was in communion, the one was directing him, as always in the morning and while the others were engrossed with their material needs, no thoughts to interfere.

5. Still did he have to continue in communion. Should the plans have altered or this new leader failed, then had the leader from the tent come forth for final effort.

6. Each represented the great forces or numbers of their sides. Each were eager to impress the lesser ones of the superior strength.

7. This was to carry over, to impress, to prove that the dream had been. Also to show that even though evil is vanquished, yet may hurt and harm come from the nearness of such. Evil is hurt when seen or felt, or thought, or spoken, or in any even vague or remote way considered. ALWAYS THEN IS THE HURT.

8. That even though His Son is with us always - yet do we have to call on him believing to be saved. “To call on him believing to be saved” is the message.

9. All and more will be given by others. Each having different guidance will get different contact and be led by different interpretation. Let all be considered.

10. As has been given, we who guide you and direct you, when allowed and when rightly sought have directed your hand to the right words. We are with Him here and Holy is His Name. Jehovah.

R12. 2/23/34 EC’s letter to Mrs. [255]:

“I haven’t taken a reading on it [above dream]; don’t know when I’ll have the opportunity, but I would like to see what [275] can get. Possibly you will say this isn’t her work. She can ask the question as to whether she should try it or not, and if she is permitted I would like to have it. If not, then I wouldn’t want her to undertake it.”

R13. 2/25/34 EC told dream of last 3 nights of “Crooked stick turning into snake.”

R14. 3/16/34, Friday, Miss [275]‘s interpretation, in meditation, of EC’s above dream:

Explanations of dreams are very complicated things, and as your mental hasn’t quite been completely enough separated from your soul-mind, you could not now receive the explanation in any great detail. However, dreams of any importance are generally spiritual tests, or soul tests. As in this dream, the soul had to become conscious of the ever present presence of our Master, “Lo I am with you always”; and just as soon as that took place the so called battle was won. For the present this is all.

R15. 3/17/34 She wrote: “I have enclosed what I received in regard to your dream, which certainly was a very interesting one. I think that the message explains the situation.” [See 4/3/34 EC’s reply.]

R16. 3/17/34 Miss [275] had sent EC her interpretation, in meditation, of his dream of 2/16/34. 4/3/34 EC gave her a Ck. Life Rdg. 275-40, and on 4/5/34 wrote her: “[275], I want to thank you for the explanation rec’d in meditation about my dream. I think it is very good, and quite in keeping with - or, I might say, a supplement to - the things I have gotten from other sources also [Mr. [317]‘s automatic writing?]. Yet I haven’t as yet undertaken a rdg. on it, but I will. Also I appreciate the beautiful birthday card you sent me.”

R17. 3/34 EC dreamed of girl Mr. [440] would marry - coming along on a horse. See under 1244-1 Background. [4/28/71 Mr. [440] told GD he thought his 2nd wife more nearly fitted the description given in EC’s dream.]

R18. 3/34 EC told Mr. [440] he dreamed that he saw him as a man weighing 200 lbs. [Mr. 440 at the time was a very slim young man. 4/28/71 He visited Va. Beach and told GD that he now weighed around 200 lbs., and had to watch his diet to keep from gaining more.]

R19. 3/34 EC had an experience in New Mexico in which his mother materialized a silver coin. [See 4/12/34 interpretation of the experience under 294-174, Par. 15-A. 11/20/42 EC wrote - see under 1770-7 Reports; in re trumpet mediums, materialization, etc: “I have had many experiences, and of course believe in materialization, but not for direction - rather for assurance. In March 1934 my mother came to me and talked with me, even though I was in a New Mexico cattle pasture, and materialized a silver dollar to prove to me I should not worry about money, but to trust in God and do right and the money for use would come. I took it as assurance, and it has proven so; not as a source of materialization of same. Do you see what I mean?”]

R22. 5/17/34 During trance message from Mrs. [267] (See under 5752-4 Reports.) EC saw people in two’s dressed in Russian costume, who looked like Russians, and behind the string of people walking came a woman like the LeBrun Madonna.

R23. 5/29/34 See EC’s letter under 275-41 Reports in re his ability to interpret x-ray plates, “which some have said that I do psychically, though I do not claim anything of the kind.”

R24. 7/6/34 Early Friday morning, Edgar Cayce dreamed:

It was as if I was talking with Jude. First he was describing to me how (this was then many years after the crucifixion) he as a young man, between sixteen and nineteen years old at the time, had become interested in the teachings of the apostles. He described how he was very small - between two and a half to four years old - when his father Joseph died; and he had not seen Jesus until then - as he had come from what we now call Persia soon after Joseph’s death, and made arrangements for the property that he had to take care of Mary and the rest of the children. Joseph had one son older than Jesus. Then there was James, and two other sisters, and Jude. And it was because of his mother’s teaching and being with the disciples after Jesus’ death and before the persecution began, that he learned a great deal about the life of the Christ - or of Jesus. Then he described what the various apostles looked like. Bartholomew was the older one. Though they were not richly dressed, they were always CLEAN in their appearance. Peter was clean-shaven, but never VERY clean-shaven. Bartholomew had very sparse beard, and was just a little bit stooped, with a very sharp but not large nose like many of the others. Their under garments were mostly white and blue. John, the apostle, was the younger, not being more than 22-23 years old when Jesus was crucified. Both John and James were quite wealthy. All the apostles, except John and Judas Iscariot, were married. John and Judas were never married. James, the brother of John, was several years older. They were sons of Zebedee and RELATIVES of Mary’s - cousins. Then he gave a description of the last evening in the garden, as told him by his mother and by John and by James his own brother - who was the lad that went with the soldiers when they went there to arrest Jesus. The figure of the man Jesus, while heavy and muscular, was not what we would call fat at all. He had very little hair on his face; a little on his lips and a little on the chin. Most of the apostles except James and John and Peter had grown rather lukewarm, even at the time of the arrest, because of Jesus not taking advantage of the desire of the crowd the day before - or the same day as he entered Jerusaleum - for making him the leader of their group. Judas, not Iscariot but the other Judas, being among those most outspoken at the time - as was Andrew, though Andrew was controlled more by his own immediate family. John and James were among the more wealthy of the disciples, with Mathew - who had considerable of this world’s goods. When the moment came to the garden, they came to where the nine were before they came up to where James, John, Peter and the Christ were

• who came back to them at the time of the betrayal - walked up to them. Even then some of them wanted him to escape, because he could. Judas didn’t think they could ever arrest him.

Then he spoke about his latter ministry after he was of age; he became connected with those that were counted among what we would call the deacons in the church when James his brother was made head of the church, and he grew to be rather heavy - and went into what we would call now Persia as a missionary. He was better educated than some of them, and all spoke in Aramaic, but he understood something of Greek also. His epistle is a very small portion of the letter which he wrote to his mother, but the portion taken is that given to his wife - that was not with him when he wrote the letter. He had grown a great deal heavier then. John had dark brown eyes, very curly lashes. His hair tended to curl up, though not waved on top of his head; didn’t have any beard at all at that time. His hair was brown, that tended to look more like red - if seen in the light. His face was oval, and neither long nor square. Good features, mouth inclined to be more effeminate than masculine, but a very strong chin and forehead. The apostles’ wives lived in Capernaum near Mary, the mother of Jesus. Especially Peter’s mother-in-law and wife were among the leaders of the women of the group. Thomas, Andrew, and Thaddeus and Bartholomew - the latter’s children were almost grown, while the others’ were all young during that period. R25. 7/7/34 On waking from 349-18 EC remarked on peculiar odors, as of orris, etc.

R27. 8/31/34 During rdg. 256-5 EC dreamed of visiting orient, sitting in tent with an East Indian.

R28. 9/14/34 See experience during 646-2, statement while GC was giving EC the waking suggestion: “How would people on other side go fishing? [EC laughed aloud.] Three of them are, as we see here.”

R29. 9/17/34 See 662-1 EC’s dream during rdg. of Dr. Allen [M.D.] in Selma, Ala., telling him Mrs. [662] might go blind if not following the treatment in the rdg.

R30. 11/28/34 See EC’s dream during [listed at end of] 752-1 in which he went for the record not through blackness and horrible shapes but up through a column and arrived at the place of records. He wound up and through a very large column, passing by all those things without coming in contact personally with them, and came out where there was the house of records. R40. 1/30/36 Early A.M. EC was talking to young Mr. [1089] [See his 1089-3 on 1/23/36] about the difference between all the various denominations. Young [1089] was a Catholic and was full of questions about his own church and other denominations. EC was trying to explain to him the differences and the agreements.

R41. 1/30/36 Following 1007-2, at 12:15 P.M., EC had the following dream which he related on waking; in regard to church denominations:

EC’s dream: A man finds in nature that which is an illustration of himself, and the experience we call Life itself.

Now, for instance, consider a field of corn. In the grain of corn there is life. Man plants it in the soil, works it, and then he reaps the harvest. Not every man selects the same kind of corn. Not every man ploughs it alike. Not every man sows it alike. Not every man reaps it alike. Yet in each case it brings forth the very best that there is. It is the God or the Life within each grain that the man is seeking. It sustains his body, and also produces seed to raise more.

That’s religion. That’s the denominations.

R42. 3/3/36 EC dreamed of being reborn in Nebraska in 2158 A.D. On 3/9/36 he wrote his friend Mr. [436]: “We had to go to Detroit again Feb. 23rd, came back [on the train 3/3/36] to Va. Beach on the 4th or 5th. Weather fine ever since we came back, though dark and gloomy today - will rain I guess.

Had quite an experience [on the train coming back from Detroit]. Saw myself back here in this land [U.S.] in 2158 [A.D.]. Well, there was quite a bit of difference in the working of things those days, if what I saw is any criterion as to what will be. Very interesting. Hope to write it up soon and will send it to those who would like to have it.” [See 294-185, Par. 21-A interpreting above dream, on 6/30/36.]

R43. 3/11/36 EC wrote Mrs. Bessie G. Taylor [wife of the late Rev. Dan P. Taylor of the First Christian Church, Selma, Ala.]: “For some time we have been trying to help Mrs. [593] of B’ham, especially her husband who from all accounts hasn’t been doing the best he might. Well, this morning I dreamed I met Brother Taylor. He looked fine and well, shook hands with him and he said: ‘Well, thank you very much for helping me out with [M…]. I think he is going to be a better man now.’ He asked me about everybody around the family and said, ‘Bess is fine - just saw her a few moments ago.’ You must have dreamed about him. Is all this very foolish? and shouldn’t I have said anything about it? Well, just couldn’t help but tell you about it and hope it is alright. For, in the morning mail I had a card from Mrs. [593], and she says, ‘I just want to tell you that God has been wonderful to all of us once more. Mr. [M…] has given up his habit [drink] and is wonderfully kind to everyone, and says that by the help of the Almighty he is through. So let’s thank our Father first, then you, dear soul, and all of your workers who have been so fine and faithful. My heart just flows over with joy and happiness this day.’

“Well, we can call it what we will or may, but it appears to me to be what we so often talk about and so seldom experience. Just thought you would like to know about it.”

R44. 4/22/36 A.M., at end of Physical rdg. 558-5 just before waking, EC said “Anne Hathaway.”

R45. 4/22/36 P.M. During 1151-1 EC had the same experience he has had several times, in going to seek the record of the individual but this time when he approached the house of records, the keeper of the records spoke to him the first time. Apparently EC asked for the book and the keeper took it from another section, saying “This is from a special group, you see - and I must have it back.” Then, when EC returned the book, it was open - and the keeper took it, saying, “I am loath to take it from you yet - so much more may be given.”
