This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at Phillips Hotel, Dayton, Ohio, this 20th day of November, 1923, in accordance with request made by himself - [5453].

Born July 27, 1898, Dayton, Ohio. Time of Reading 3:30 P. M. …, Ohio.

1. LS: Now, you have before you the body of [5453], who was born July 27, 1898, at Dayton, Ohio. You will give a horoscope reading, or a reading giving the effect of the planets upon the life and destiny of this individual. You will give the exact time of birth. Also the vocation in life for which this body is most adapted. You will also give personalities and time in history of each appearance upon this earth plane. You will speak very slowly and distinctly.

2. EC: (After going back over years to birth date.) Awful day for those born in July, 1915, isn’t it?

3. Yes, we have the conditions here and this record as here. Born in the early morn and light was just coming over the globe upon that sphere in which the soul and spirit found its way. Hence, the early influences have been upon this present plane, and will be some of the barriers in its present development upon this its 5th plane.

4. The effect the ruling forces have from those of the astrological conditions existing, and the sphere from which this spirit and soul come, when it took possession of the present physical body as from that of the forces in the Neptune elements, with the influence of Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Septimus and the constellation of the Genii and also that of the forces as is found by the inflection from those of the Sagatarius [Sagittarius?] forces. Not Saturn, but the greater ruling force or the central Sun of this, this universe.

5. The forces as these have governed, and will govern, this body without the influence of the will, which has been built in a manner in the present sphere. Not exercised to the point that it should be for the best development, even for this plane.

6. Those of Mercury’s forces bring that of the physical from, seemingly, unseen forces, though often afflicted by those of the Neptune, imposed upon by those [of] Jupiter and marred by those of Mars and the Genii with that of Septimus as the ruling force in its physical condition, and in this same force we find that as has been enacted by the body that has brought to this body, in this way, from those forces that have to do with those of those coming under the rule of the planets, with which Neptune was afflicted rather than assisted at the time, see?

7. So we find the body has been used to the present developed in more as a pincushion than one to have been its own self, though it has meant in much the greater development to others. [See 5453-1, Par. R3.]

8. The will should be used more, and in the next two years we will find the constellation of the Genii with the assistance of Uranus, under which the occult forces will reach this body, unless the will force is allowed to carry into that distant force that would become under that of the Sagatorial forces that would carry that offset in balance to the better development, and it will bring much then of the powers of those reached through Jupiter, Mercury and Neptune’s forces with Uranus. Hence, the awe [?] of natural forces, or of nature, and of those that have to do with the mystical, psychical, the occult forces will, if the body wills, do much towards the building of the entity of the body, [5453]. Will this especially be seen in these days, specific; March 19, 1924, April 30, 1925, August 27, 1927, December 1, 1930, see? [See 5453-11, Par. 10-A.] In these, as the ruling forces then, will bring with this the better elements in 25, 26, 27 and 30. During these years these come, as it were, to the own and others should be used in the development of this entity.

9. The soul and spirit force has suffered in many forms in its cycle through the various phases of the planes under which it has found itself. The will force has been at times that factor that allowed itself forces to enter and give the misconception and let it lose faith in itself and its God, see? as we shall see in the personnel.

10. In the building then, keep those phases that would bring the elementals of that universal force that is found in the law of recompense, ever remembering that that law of vengeance lies only with Him who has given “vengeance alone is mine,” see?

11. In the developing of planes through which this has passed we find the first from this was in that of the Norse country, of the days when Cromwell brought the common people to their position, and gave the populace their voice above that of those who would make the position the ruling force in that people, see? and that entity then was the one who carried the message to that force that lies (that lay then) across the river from where the execution [of Charles I?] afterwards was enacted, and this body was then. That is, the entity, see?

12. Before this we find this body in the days of the Trojan wars. That of the assistant to the keeper of the gate, see? who barred the way to the entrance of those who would destroy the city, see? [GD’s note: 9/19/33 See 294-161 Par. 1-Q, EC’s dream in re Troy and [5453].]

13. Before this in the plain country, as was given when the Serbs carried their forces into the valley of the Euphrates and changed the course of that stream and lent the destruction to the fall of the city beautiful Jerusalem?], see?* This in the personnel of him who directed that change of the water course, see?

14. Again in the plain country of the Egyptians, when he became the task maker [taskmaster - see Exodus I] for those of the chosen people when they were to make the brick of the clay without that that would give the dividing forces between, and was the messenger’s captain who gave the orders from the king, see? Old Testament - Moses’ Period?]

15. Keep well. Guard the forces as have been given in these. Keep the will force in the way that will lead to the Faith of the fathers, and let that injunction be, “Forget not the Faith of thy Fathers” and let the words be “Lord, God, of our Fathers, be with us yet, lest we forget; lest we forget.”

16. We are through.
