This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Virginia, this 22nd day of June, 1934, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [593], new Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Edgar Cayce, via Mrs. [272].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [593].

2. Now, as we find, there are disturbing conditions to the better physical functioning of this body. These, while in many ways make for disordered or distorted reactions, are rather the complications from the very nature of that which has disturbed and does disturb the reactions in the physical functioning of the organs. For, as we find, these arise from disordered glands in the system. Hence we have as these reactions:

The BLOOD SUPPLY indicates that at times (and these are varying according to the manner in which the eliminations and the affectations of organs are) there are toxic forces that appear, and through them bring about a disturbance to the superficial circulation; for these toxic forces find their way through eliminations in the cuticle or the skin and respiratory system, thus making for irritations in portions of the body in the form of crustations and the resultant conditions in the cuticle itself on parts of the body - as a rash, as irritations in the skin. At other times we find that the same sort of condition makes for an upsetting in the digestive system, and periods of repression here produce a fullness in the throat and the lung depression that occurs; though the body in its reactions finds quantities of the body building forces - yet these are unbalanced as to their segregations and as to their stimulations. Hence the varied activities that are disturbed in the body.

4. In those portions when there are the disturbances through the digestive area, we find that the thyroid becomes involved in same, as do the adrenals and the portion in the caecum area; the glands in the liver, spleen, lungs and head - ALL of these become involved at times, yet the very activities of the body would make for those things that are producing these in spasmodic ways. Hence there are periods when these conditions are in one portion and at times in another.

5. The NERVES, of course, become involved in the condition, and at times it has been told the body that the condition is rather of a neurotic nature and hence is mostly imagination; yet the DISORDERS continue to exist!

6. The ORGANS of the body, as we find, become involved in the condition; and, as indicated, vary according to the cycle of the reaction of the forces that produce the disturbances. Hence we find an unbalancing in the metabolism and katabolism of the system. We find that there are those things that make for mental disturbances that distress the body in various activities as much as do the functionings of the organs being disturbed.

7. Then, in meeting the needs of the conditions as we find them, we would give:

8. Take internally the properties found in that called Atomidine, twice each day, before the morning meal and before retiring in the evening, in a full glass of water. Begin with one drop twice each day. Every other day increase the quantity one drop, until eight drops are being taken twice each day. Then it will be necessary that this be discontinued for a period of three to four days. Then begin over again, commencing with the one drop and increasing every other day one drop until eight drops are being taken again twice each day. Do this for three to four such periods or rounds.

During the same periods we would have the vibrations from the Radio-Active Appliance, this used in the extremities, and preferable for this to be used for about thirty to fifty minutes in the afternoon; not at night, but when the body rests in the afternoon - and take the time to rest, you see. This would be attached to the extremities of the body, but always to the wrist first. When attached to the right wrist, the other anode should be to the left ankle. The next application when the attachment is made to the left wrist, the other anode would be to the right ankle. Alternate in this manner each day. And this should be applied each day for a period of three to four weeks, then a rest period of a week, then begin again. Then whenever necessary afterwards, when the body is tired, depleted, or when there are disturbances in any portion of the system, this should be used again to bring the desired effects in allowing the body to rest, in bringing about better digestive forces, better circulatory forces and - most of all - a better coordination in the cerebro-spinal and sympathetic system.

10. Follow these, and we will find an entirely different condition in the glands’ reaction in those tendencies for the body to swell in various portions from the disturbed circulation, and bringing about a near normal condition for the body.

11. As to the matter of diet, be mindful that the food values are kept rather in an alkalin reacting state; or that the tests of litmus paper - both for the spittle and for the urine - show an alkalin reaction, see? This should be maintained more by the diet than by other efforts, you see. But do not make these tests of the litmus paper under three to four hours after having taken the Atomidine.

12. (Q) Any other advice for the better welfare of this body? (A) As has been indicated in the mental reactions of the body, keeping these in the constructive reaction respecting self - as is well known by the body - will make for more harmonious conditions surrounding the body.

Mr. Edgar Cayce.

Dear Friend;

Your letter also the readings were received last Wed. P.M. and I was so glad, we have studied them over and over, and are trying to get all things lined up, and have started on some of the treatments (so far as we can) and hope to get them all under way as soon as we can.

We were well pleased with all the information, in fact I was some surprised at some of the things that I read, as no one knew of them but myself, and it just goes to show that it is alright.

You will hear again from us real soon. I also have some questions that I want to ask you later.

R2. 9/2/34 She reported on her boarder, Mr. [591], saying: I am just lots better myself, and feel better then I have for a long time, can’t say that things in the family are better [GD’s note: She is referring here to an alcoholic problem with her husband.], but I just feel so much better, that they don’t seem to get on my nerves as it did, and I am sure that as soon as I am able to KNOW…that all things will work out just right for us all.

Brother Cayce:

I just must tell you that God has been most wonderful to all of us once more… Mr. [husband] has given up his habit… and is just wonderfully kind to every one now, and says that by the help of the Almighty, he is through…so let’s thank our Father first, then YOU dear Soul and all of your workers …that have been so fine and so faithful… My heart just flows over with joy and happiness this day.

Mr. [591] is just about the same, but he is still being given the opportunity of finding PERFECT health and I am sure that he too will find it, now the way is open for work, and as soon as Mr. [husband] finds the way open to handle money, you will hear from me in that line too. For I appreciate all that you have done for me and mine…ever your Friend.

Dear Mrs. [593]; -

Thanks very much for yours of the 7th, and I certainly rejoice with you and give all the thanks to the most High, if we have been of the least service in helping you in any way or manner, lovely but we still give the glory and thanks to the Gracious Father. I know you are happy, for as have no doubt told you have had personal experiences in just such cases and know full well what it means. Very recently we had just such an one with a very dear cousin of mine, there tho the readings helped out a lot and his wife has gained a great deal am sure from the study of the lessons and other data sent her from time to time.

Do hope Mr. [591] will soon show improvement that will be of a very definite and permanent nature. We are still planning on coming that way and hope it will not be so very long before we can do so.
