This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 25th day of September, 1937, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [1097], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1097]. In many phases of the experience we have had the body before.

2. In the present physical conditions, as we find much of that which is the cause of the acute condition in the present is now known; this having arisen from poisons in the system that depleted the activity of the eliminating systems and thus produced a character of pressure in the circulation as to produce seepages in the arterial circulation.

3. Thus there has been caused the inability of activity through portions of the system upon which the pressure is produced.

4. As we find, if this had been approached sometime ago, there might have been brought a greater relief from the disturbance. For the lesion has advanced to where there IS the pressure now in the brain center rather than along the cerebrospinal system.

5. Yet as we find, if there are the proper precautions and proper care and application given, the physical conditions may be materially aided; so that the use of those portions - in the right areas of the body - may become much more near to normal.

6. In the applications then, all of these are necessary. Do not do one without the other.

7. As we find there may be the stimulation as to produce such an absorption and such an activity, if care is taken in the diet, as to relieve a great deal of this; and delay or entirely prevent the recurrence of this condition.

8. First we would give then:

9. Every third day we would massage or rub the cerebrospinal system with a compound prepared in this manner:

10. To 1/2 gallon of White Gasoline (not that which has been treated with other chemicals), add - in the order named:

Camphor Gum…1/2 ounce, Pure Olive Oil…1 pint.

Shake these together each time before the massage is given. Do not give as something just to be gotten through with, but as something to be accomplished for the body. Begin at the base of the brain or head, in a circular motion along the cerebrospinal system down to at least the 9th dorsal, on either side and down the center of the cerebrospinal system; then from the coccyx to the 9th dorsal; and to be sure especially over the lumbar or 4th lumbar center; and then circular motion with the arm and the lower limb. Do this every third day.

11. Use each day, for thirty minutes, the low electrical vibration of the Wet Cell Appliance carrying Gold in same. Make the attachments the same size, small enough to be used upon the wrist and the ankle. And in making the applications each day, be very specific that the applicator through which the Gold passes is attached to that side of the body that is deficient in activity; that is: The anode NOT carrying the Gold Solution would be attached first, to the left ankle; while the anode CARRYING the Gold Solution (in the proportion of two grains to each ounce of Distilled Water) would be attached last, to the right wrist. The next day the anode NOT carrying the Gold Solution would be attached first, to the left wrist; while the anode CARRYING the Gold Solution would be attached last, to the right ankle. Continue to alternate in this manner, with the Gold Solution attachment always to the right side of the body. These attachments should be intact but not binding. Keep the plates very clean. Change the Solution every twenty-eight days. Change the Gold Solution every fourteen days. Do not leave attachments or connections in the Solution when not in use. The Appliance would be only used thirty minutes each day, preferably in the afternoon as the body grows a bit tired; three-thirty to five o’clock in the afternoon - but for only thirty minutes.

12. In the matter of the diet: Of these things beware: No fried foods of any kind. No hog meat at any time, save a little crisp breakfast bacon - very crisp - may be a part of the diet. Beware of white bread, white potatoes or the like. Do not combine spaghetti, tomatoes or the white breads EVER at anytime. Tomatoes raw or canned are well as part of the diet. Potatoes if taken at all should be those that are roasted. Meats - but not these in great quantities - should consist of fish, fowl or lamb. Keep the diet consistently.

13. In these applications be consistent and persistent, and doing these we will find relief.

Dear Mr. [1097];-

Mighty sorry to hear of your misfortune, wish you had let me hear from you sooner, such cases are much easier to handle and to obtain results before the lesion has formed in the brain but there has been most excellent results obtained for a great many people by following the suggestions given in such cases. And do hope you will at least give this a fair trial, for feel sure you will get marvelous results if you will sincerely give it a trial.

Yes in the same mail as your letter came, had letter from our friend [257] asking for reading for his wife. Expect to see them last of this month.

Be sure and let me hear from you Mr. [1097], for would like to see you get good and well again and think you can do it.

Have been laid up for the past seven months - having had a stroke of paralysis. I was deprived of the use of my right arm, right side and right leg, but am thankful that my condition otherwise is alright.
