Theosophist) This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 15th day of May, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [1100].

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the Universe, and the Universal Forces, giving the conditions that are as personalities, latent and exhibited, in the present life. Also the former appearances in the earth’s plane, giving time, place, and the name, and that in that life which built or retarded the development for the entity, giving the abilities of the present entity and to that which it may attain, and how.

2. EC: Yes, we have the entity here, and those relations with the Universal Forces as are latent and exhibited in the life in the present earth plane, with those relations to other existences in the earth plane, with the urges as have been received, are given, and as seen in the present earth plane, for the urges as we find come much from the earthly existences, for these, as we see, are many and under various and devious circumstances and conditions.

3. In the present earth plane we find the entity taking its position from that of Jupiter, with Venus and Neptune, with the influences of the cusps having much to do with the many changes and variations, as well as the influences received from other existences in the earth plane.

4. One who finds much in the study of those of the mystic forces and mystic relations as have [existed] and do exist with the various forces as have to do with Universality and the Universal Forces as exhibited in the earth plane, and the operations of same becomes then the deepest, the greatest, study to the individual from the intellectual standpoint.

5. One we find who has the broad scope of vision, whether of material conditions or of physical forces as manifested through spiritual effects of conditions. One we find sympathetic in many ways. One that is ever ready to give of best to assist in giving relief to others in the earth plane. One we find who gives of the greater forces through the great love as is latent and as exhibited in the life of the individual.

6. One who has changed in the ideals as is set in physical, mental and spiritual forces, as the understanding has increased in the years spent in earth plane in this existence, and will gradually increase as the knowledge of the Universal Forces are found and made as a portion of the life of the individual.

7. One we find who is slow to wrath, yet holding any grudge (as all deep or passionate lovers would). One we find that has little of the selfish purpose or intent, yet when such becomes in the life, violent to certain degree, even to the protection of self in physical, mental or spiritual manners.

8. As to the appearances:

9. In the one before this we find in that of the early settlers in the East coast of Pennsylvania (now), when the first of the understandings were made with the natives of that land. The entity then in that of Ernestine Dean, and came as among the first settlers to that country, in and near place now known as Penn. In this we find the entity gained that personality as exhibited in the present of seeking the knowledge, yet an ever latent feeling of the moving of the Spirit Forces from within, or seeking an answer from same.

In the one before this we find in the land of the isle Ireland, and near the place where the first of those who gave their life for the defense of the country, in the subduing of those people who came as the intruders from the North and West country. Then in the name of Clara McDougal. In this we find the entity gained that import and intent as to seek out the truth in every thing as given, especially those conditions pertaining to defense of self, whether material, physical, mental or spiritual.

11. In the one before this we find in the Grecian country, when the defense of the country against the intruders and the fight to the finish with these intruders. The entity then among those of the highest order and sect, and known as among those of the fairest in the land. Then in the name Rhoda Pryne, and the entity then in that of the ne’er-do-well, or the one giving self in unreserved ways to seek for the information necessary for the help of those whom the body then would serve. In this misunderstandings came, and the entity all too late found the development turning to curd, and the development as is received in the present, and in the latent conditions as are exhibited in the entity, that of seeking for the perfect understanding of the position occupied by the entity in whatever stand the entity may take on any subject or condition.

In the one before this we find in the plain country of the Persians (now), when the rule of the country was taken over by the rule of the Arabian or Nomad forces, and the entity then in that of Arkai, and the entity then the defender to the then King of the country, and lost life in the raids as were made when only in the early portion of maidenhood. In this again we find the entity finds the necessity, latent, in self of the defense of self in person and in the intuitive forces of the mental abilities of the body.

13. In the one before this we find in the land of the now Egyptian forces, when the second ruler then in force was giving to the peoples and the world the first laws pertaining to the relation between Creator and created. The entity then in that of the scribe to the High Priest that assisted in giving these laws to the people, and was then the educated one that was taken as prisoner and made the scribe to the High Priest, for the abilities of the entity surpassed many of those in that country. In that day the name was that of a two-fold, or coming from the country of the Arabians (now known) the entity known then as Aidol [See 341-9, Par. 18-A giving further details]. In the new position as occupied, the entity then given the name by the High Priest as of Isisao [See 341-9, Par. 18-A]. In this we find the entity gains the deep study and the deep import of the necessity of the entity studying and seeking out those inner laws pertaining to the relations of the past, present and future, that may be found within the study of self and the relations to others whom the entity may contact, knowing well that these are a part of each and every individual that gives study and thought to these to the extent of making them a portion of their inner selves, for the inner self being the real self and the manifestations from within those manifestations of that of the reality of the entity.

14. In the one before this we find in that country when the dividing of the waters and the earth, in the now known Peruvian country. The entity among those who escaped the destruction of many waters and the entity then in that name of Oumi, becoming then the chief of the favorites of the ruler, who made the ruler of the peoples as they began to multiply in the earth again, and from this the entity finds the necessity ever present of the defense of the position as is ever held by the entity itself.

15. As to the abilities of the entity and how these may be used in the present earth plane:

The abilities lie in that of both lecturer or writer, as pertaining to the mysteries of life, and the mysteries of the relations of the sex with sex and the relation of same to the Divine laws as have been set in motion throughout by the Universal Forces as are manifest in the earth plane, and as the study of same advances, the entity will be able to give much through its own experience and knowledge to the waiting world that so badly needs this understanding of the Universal Forces, as are manifest through the peoples who will acknowledge the inner forces, the inner actions, the inner Divine force as ever gives urges to the individuals in the earth plane.

R1. 5/22/25 Letter: “The rdgs. came and we must say that we are simply delighted. Of course, it all seems so strange to have all these personalities behind us but when we know how wonderful it is that God gives us all these chances to improve ourselves, it makes us feel that we never want to do or say another mean or unkind thing, and to that goal we are striving.

“We are pleased beyond words, Mr. Cayce; and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the wonderful inspiration that these readings brought us. The descriptions of our present personalities are perfect and of course we haven’t reached the stage where we can recall the past ones.

“Have always known intuitively, Mr. Cayce, that my husband is a wonderful soul, altho he never thinks so himself. He is almost perfect love and kindness and the more we are together the more I realize how really wonderful he is. (He would have a fit if he knew I was saying these things to you.)”

R3. 1/13/28 Mrs. [1100] wrote that Dr. Alexander Stewart Ross (M.D., formerly of Scotland, not practising now, a member of the B’ham Theosophical Society) had arranged for Morton H. Blumenthal’s forthcoming lecture to be held in his office in the Comer Bldg., since it would accommodate more than the small Theosophical Lodge.

Dear Mr. [470] and Mrs. [1100]:-

I want to thank you very much for yours of the 10th, and for your making arrangements for Mr. Blumenthal’s lecture. I really believe he has a message and that each and everyone hearing him will be glad they came. The subject of his lecture will be:

“THREE ELEMENTS OF HAPPINESS AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO PSYCHIC PHENOMENA.” [See under 4863-2, Par. B1.]

I would like for you to make arrangements for a notice of this to be carried in the newspaper two or three days before the lecture. Of course I will reimburse you for whatever expense you are put to for same.

I think I will arrive there the evening of the 26th, and I hope to see you the next day, at any rate. I am sending the notice to the list telling them the lecture will be Saturday Night, eight o’clock - I think that will be the time, don’t you? and telling them where it will be, but I would like to have just as many outsiders as would care to hear it. The name is:

[Miss [774]] who has been a student for years, has been most everywhere, and the information [through her Physical Rdg.] has done her so much good physically it is fine, yet varies quite a bit from her own information through astrology.”

The new chart I have set up for [470] [See 470-22, Par. 29-A giving his correct birth hour] is almost identical with mine for house, cusps, etc. Of course the planets are in different houses but we both have almost the same amount of Leo rising. Well, Pluto, the planet of regeneration, etc., is entering Leo, so of course I am very interested to know what it is all about.

“Another interesting thing - my Life Reading mentioned me taking my position or something in connection with Vulcan, which did not mean anything to me. Now, the astrologers are beginning to feel that Vulcan is the POSITIVE ruler of Virgo, instead of Mercury. My Sun is in Virgo. My, how little we poor mortals know!”
