EC: We have the body [1100] here. This we have had before. There are, as seen, some accentuations of conditions as have been existent with the physical forces of the body, and these become acute - as seen with the breathing, the digestive system, and the throat. These, as we find, are of the reflex nature, yet need the attention in a way and manner as to relieve these conditions.
-
First we would have, at this present time, those corrections made as will be found necessary in the central dorsal system, and the upper cervicals. With these manipulations, osteopathically given, we will find relief from these strains.
-
Then we would take those properties as are found in the combination of Pinex with that of King’s New Discovery, these thinned - both of them - in this manner: Taking the fifty cent size bottle of the King’s New Discovery, add to same one ounce of simple syrup, with one teaspoonful of Pinex. This would be taken, teaspoonful as a dose, whenever the irritation, and whenever that tendency of nausea arises. This will assist, with the manipulations as should be given in these portions of the system as outlined, the correction of these forces. Do that, and we will bring near the normal force of this body. Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Would it benefit me any to go to a hospital or sanitarium and go on a specific diet? (A) This would be beneficial, but not necessary will the body follow the suggestion as has been outlined for the diet and for the body.
-
(Q) Is the drinking water being used at present harmful to this body? (A) Better were there more of the properties of the carbohydrates with that of lithia, than so much of the lime.
-
That is all the questions.
-
Follow those suggestions as have been outlined, and we will bring the better conditions for this body. We are through for the present.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 6/2/29 “If my condition doesn’t clear up am coming to VB later on because I know I will get the correct tr. there. All the D.O.’s to whom I have been want to treat me according to their own diagnosis, and do, I suppose.”
R2. 7/14/29 “I am feeling real well, again, and will always be indebted to you. My trouble seemed to disappear while I was in … and so far, hasn’t returned.”
R3. 4/30/30 “Did think for a while that I would have to come (to VB) as a patient but am feeling much better now, after locating a very good osteopath, Dr. John R. Pike.”
R4. 11/24/35 She secured her next Ck. Physical - See 1100-6.
R5. See subsequent Ck. Physical rdgs.
R6. 6/1/43 She had 1100-36 & 6/20/44 she had 1100-38 referring to heart condition due to high altitude; engorged heart, etc.
R7. 3/21/71 National Enquirer article: CLAIM HEART DISEASE CAN BE REDUCED BY ADDING LITHIUM TO DRINKING WATER
Heart disease could be reduced if large amounts of the metal lithium were added to city water supplies, claims a public health expert. Lithium-enrichment of drinking water has no harmful side effects, said Dr. A. W. Voors, assistant professor of Epidemiology in the School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina.
Dr. Voors studied the mineral contents of water as it came out of the tap in 99 cities and concluded that a low lithium content is connected statistically with a high rate of atherosclerotic heart disease - a hardening of the arteries due to fatty deposits.
Lithium deficiencies have also been linked with diabetes and hypertension, according to past scientific studies, Dr. Voors said.

B2. 4/26/29 “Mr. [470] thinks I should have another reading, Mr. Cayce, as I haven’t been getting along very well lately… Would it benefit me any to go to a hospital or sanitarium and go on a specific diet? Is the drinking water being used at present harmful? Do hope I am not too much trouble but the reason I asked the question about the diet was because the osteopath in Glendale seemed to think that the milk diet, given properly in a sanitarium, would help me.” [She also requested a Physical Rdg. for her sister, Miss [958].]
B3. 5/8/29 “Just what is the change spoken of in last rdg. that this body is going thru, and what effect is it having on body?”
