HLC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have had this body here before.
-
As we find, there have been those tendencies for too much of fats taken by the body; and this, as combined with the poor eliminations, has caused an overflow - or a regurgitation - between the circulation of the heart and the liver, or a form of thrombosis, or the thrombose became dilated.
-
To be sure, this might be called a form of heart disturbance; for, unless precautions are taken, or those activities of the nature to change these conditions through the system, it might become very serious, - flooding the heart, dilating same, and - to be sure - producing disintegration.
-
As we find, rest is the best in the present. But we WOULD take those properties that are being administered to keep the better circulation.
-
Also we would begin immediately with the colon irrigations to reduce the engorgements there. We would give these at least every ten days, or closer, until there is no indication - from the refuse - of any phlegm or mucous in same, or until the colon is entirely clear. Of course, in the beginning these should not be given so much as to overcrowd or tire the body, but there should be at least five to six of these, - not merely enemas, but high irrigations. Of course, don’t attempt to drain the whole of the colon at once, but by the second or third time these are given, it should be entirely relieved.
-
Between these times of the irrigations, have a few - two or three - of the manipulations, osteopathically administered, to DISTRIBUTE the circulation below the waistline much better. These would be most beneficial.
-
Be mindful not to overexert the body, as in too heavy lifting, or too great an exercise of any kind that is overfatiguing; and, most of all, beware of overeating.
-
Keep away from all fried foods, or from too much of meats.
-
These as we find will bring a much bettered condition, prevent the so filling of the blood vessels as to cause any leakages through the system.
-
Do that.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Should he continue to wear truss when out again? (A) He should continue to wear at least some form of truss.
-
(Q) What causes the burning in the stomach? (A) The regurgitation, or the lack of flow of the digestive fluids through the system.
-
(Q) What is the eruption on lower lip? (A) When the poisons are more eliminated, this will gradually disappear. As we find, it comes from the slowed circulation to the lower portions of the body.
-
(Q) Any other suggestions at this time? (A) These we would do at the present time.
-
We are through for the present.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 2/5/41 “The Reading came in yesterday’s mail, and is quite a satisfaction to me. Felt like I want to write you how near the Reading suggests what Doctor here says. He had diagnosed Mr. [1170]‘s trouble as coronary thrombosis and insists on rest, rest, rest, with very little movement and no sitting up at all now, or for 6 weeks. In the beginning we had some trouble with bowel action. I suggested enema but Doctor advised against it at that time. I’ll use them later. Thank you so much for the reading. It gives me more peace of mind.” [“Seemingly Mr. [1170] is improving, but owing to the seriousness of the condition I feel very anxious.”]
R2. 12/15/43 Wife submitted these questions [See also under 1170-5, Par. B2] for Mr. [1170]. She previously [on 7/13/43] had made the appointment for another member of the family and now wanted to use it for Mr. [1170]:
What is the cause of his shortness of breath? What is the seeming pain in his chest bone when there is exertion? Is he working too hard, or too long hours? Should he rest during the day? Is rupture serious enough to wear truss at all times? What can be done for cramps in limbs at night? Are there indications of the return of illness he suffered three years ago?

B2. 1/23/41 Wife’s letter: “This a.m. he was stricken with a pain in chest. Dr. diagnosed it as some heart trouble and put him to bed. He talked rather scary, so I would like your diagnosis just as soon as you possibly can give it… Would like to know condition of heart, blood pressure; what caused the pain, what can be done, etc. Is tr. now used to be followed or do you recommend change? Is this condition caused form previous trouble when other readings were given?”
B3. 1/27/41 “The above letter was started last Thursday and with the worry, excitement and duties I have not been able to finish. It’s all jumbled together and I don’t know if you can make it out, but knowing you, this is not your first puzzle.
“Mr. [1170] is following Dr.’s instructions but I want YOUR diagnosis and treatment. I understand what to do, so you can go on with the reading as in the living room in bed. I have been so worried about him.” [‘Describe and prescribe. Will he be able to go about as usual and when?’]
