This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 22nd day of June, 1928, in accordance with request made by her nephew, Mr. [257].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here - this we have had before. The conditions we find are not responding to those that have been administered for the betterment physically of this body, and there have arisen those conditions wherein there may be expected the dissolution of the physical forces at most any time. These have grown more and more destructive towards the action of the sensory organism with the physical forces of the body. While this continual state of coma, or cosmotus, still lingers, there will come that period when it will be necessary to add that which will make the suffering easier for the body.

2. Rather than applying those of morphia, use as these, that will bring an opportunity for the full functioning of the normal active forces of the mind of the body, to give that which is desired to be given by the body for those that administer, and minister, and have ministered, for the welfare of the physical body. Prepare in capsule as this: This the dose for each capsule:

Oil of Cinnamon…1 minim, Oil of Eucalyptus…1 minim, Oil of Turp…1 minim, Canadian Balsam…1/2 minim, Heroin (or equivalent of same)…1/80 grain.

3. This to be given every five hours apart. This will revive the reactory forces between the cerebro-spinal and the sympathetic nerve system, bringing the proper coordination between mental and the physical being.

4. For the administration of that which will give better elements for the physical body, give stimulus of spirits frumenti, egg and milk; cooking the egg with the spirits frumenti and adding the milk to same; or small quantities of dry champagne may be given, very cold. These will add to the COMFORT of the body. Eliminations need to be stimulated. Do that for the better ease of physical forces of this body. Ready for questions. We are through for the present.

R1. 6/25/28 Sister [325]‘s letter: “We gave the reading over the phone to …, Ohio last night as Dr. Miller hadn’t received it. He admitted the reading was just as the patient was. I tried to tell them their diet was not good but the doctor would not listen to me. What could I do, so I went home. God will have to be her help. My sister knew me and spoke to me on my arrival and when I went home she smiled and opened her eyes.”

R2. 7/11/28 Sister [325]‘s letter: “I am sorry to tell you that my sister passed away Saturday morning (7/7/28). She came back to consciousness - all thought that she was better. Well, God’s will… Thanks so very much for help you gave her.”

R3. 1/16/30 Mrs. [125]‘s son [127] secured a business reading.

R4. 4/27/73 GD’s note: Mrs. [125]‘s sister, Mrs. [325], also had cancer (of the breast, precipitated by injury to the breast in 1918) but through following her own readings she lived in comparative comfort for 15 yrs.
