GC: You will give a complete physical and mental diagnosis of the body, answering the specific questions we will ask.
-
EC: We have the body here - this we have had before, you see.
-
Now, considering the physical and mental attitude, these are quite different - especially in this body. While ofttimes there is found that the attitude mentally of an individual has much to do with the physical reactions in the system, these conditions in this body are extraordinary in this respect. Not that the mental or the mental forces of the body are below normal; rather that the intuitive forces are ABOVE normal, and that the impressions as are gained by the body that become a portion of the being, so act UPON the physical forces as to complete or to deflect, or to cause the improper or above normal reaction in the physical attributes and physical conditions of the body. Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What causes pain in arms and side of body? (A) This has been given aforetime. That of the improper eliminations as have been existent for periods in the body.
-
(Q) What causes drawing in breast? [Incipient cancer of breast] (A) This produced by accentuation of properties not eliminated properly from the system, and these having become the center, or the centralization of impurities, this acting as a reservoir, producing a hardening (no, not of a malignant nature, but that of rather the reservoir), and unless proper eliminations are kept in system and should this become bruised, or should the system become so depleted as to produce an extra AMOUNT of refuse forces not being eliminated in nominal channels, or this to become over exacting, as it were, in its call on the system, and acting not so much AS the reservoir - it might become to grow, and become a growth that would be detrimental. Could be turned into that of malignant nature, but not at present. NOT to be removed! Use rather that of the gentle massage around and across the muscle and tissue that lead to the glands of the breast, from the intercostal, exterior and interior nerve centers, those as come from 5th, 6th dorsal, coming around each side of the body and about the breast itself, with those properties found in Iodex one evening; then the next evening use a combination of oil of butterfat with that of plantain, mixed one to twenty.
-
(Q) One of plantain to twenty of the butterfat? (A) These cooked together, or mixed together - using the leaf with the property itself, see?
-
(Q) Should the body go to Virginia Beach for betterment of physical health? (A) The mental attitude and physical conditions of the body are such that, without the constant surrounding of those dependent upon the individual, only very short periods of absence are of ANY benefit. When conditions with those upon whom the body feels the dependence is in self, then that giving of self necessary, that PRESENCE of self - whether active or just the presence - necessary, and otherwise - as has been given - brings detrimental conditions. Very well for periods, to ANY place. Virginia Beach very GOOD extraordinary, yet these would only be for short periods.
-
(Q) Can body be brought to normal? (A) Near normal.
-
(Q) Can body live to enjoy many years of happiness? (A) Keeping the proper eliminations for the body, it would.
-
(Q) What should be done to make her take things easier? (A) Make things easier for her! by those that SHOULD be making things easier for her!
-
(Q) What suggestions can be given body by children to ease her mind and nervous tension? (A) The proper activities of the children will keep the mind at more nominal nerve tension. Not what they would say! but what they DO!
-
(Q) What exercise should be taken daily? (A) Not a very great deal, but the nominal, normal exercise walking, or keeping out of doors at least a third of the day whenever possible.
-
(Q) What food should body be given to eat? (A) Body’s a good dietician and knows that which agrees and that which disagrees. Do not change from those that the body knows.
-
(Q) What shouldn’t the body eat? (A) Just given.
-
(Q) Name doctor who can do most good? (A) Self!
-
(Q) Should body have a car to benefit her health? (A) Be very well. Riding is well for the body. Walking is better; but riding is good at times, and the body SHOULD have the advantages of such. But would bring more distress, under the environs in which the body is at present, than to do without.
-
(Q) Any other suggestions for the welfare or relief of the body? (A) Follow those suggestions as have been outlined would bring the better, more normal conditions for this body.
-
We are through for the present.
Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 7/11/28 “I was indeed pleased to hear that your health is good and that the cellar of the Cayce Hospital has been started. Thank the good Lord for his help. I wish that I could write poetry, I would like to express myself just once in beautiful words and thoughts of what I think of the wonderful gift that God gave you.
“Daughter [459] was amazed at the telegram you sent her [In re 4159-2 Background], as we had already carried out your thought. My mind, as you so well can see, is so busy trying to establish the boys on a good business foundation that I have somewhat neglected your work, but I hope to be ready to give some of my help, not with money unless I inherit a fortune, but morally and spiritually. So let us look forward to that time which I hope will be with the laying of the hospital foundation.
“[257] read to me my reading [325-20]. No one knows better than I do that every word of it is true. My illness is just work and worry and I know a few more of such readings will bring a better understanding to the children.
“I am waiting to get [459]‘s reading for [4159], as so much of my health depends on it. [She reported on her sister’s reading 125-2.]
“I will carry out my reading and will let you know from time to time how I get along. I am sending you a little treat for [459]‘s reading for [4159] and when you come to New York, she will introduce you to her friends and I know it will be of great benefit to the hospital.
“With love to one and all of the Cayce family, Fondly,” Mother [325]
“P.S. I am waiting [459]‘s reading for [4159] to tell [257] of facts that happened.”
R2. 7/12/28 “Many thanks for reading. I just received the reading and I have carefully gone over it. It is wonderful, every word true. You certainly do get me just right. When I get worried it reacts in my system and poisons the food. You see, Judge, I have had ten years of this worry, but I feel now that I shall get better, as I see that you understand my condition. It helps me with the boys seeing more clear their duty. After all they are just children and have depended so much on me, that as I grow older I must lean on them. They can’t understand that. After I get [459]‘s reading for [4159] I shall be happier, as I want to know just how to get the big boy straightened out. I want to help him [4159], God knows, but how. I do hope that you and your dear ones are all well. My love to all from all.”
R3. 7/24/28: “Your several letters to hand, also [459]‘s reading for [4159], and my son’s reading [4162-2]. As you say, many questions could have been asked to make 4159-2 a wonderful and satisfactory reading, but I know the best efforts were put forth, as another person cannot interfere at such a time [in marital troubles]. All is well with them. I did not know of it myself, only for [1856]‘s birthday. I expect that I never would have been told. Your reading will do [4159] a good deal of good. Thanks so very much for the efforts that you put forth to help. I know that you ask, ‘How do you feel, Mother [325],’ and I will answer, ‘How can I feel good with such things to happen.’ It all settles in my stomach and the result is bitterness. I am doing and using the salves. They are good, but I am just worn out, body and soul, as we will say.
“Son [4162]‘s reading is very good, but will he follow it?
”…[257] wants me to go with him to see you on Thursday, but daughter [558] and her baby [1145] are here, so I can’t come. I am very tired. Maybe I’ll come later, and then I can get rested.
“Do not tell son [257] of [459]‘s reading for [4159] as it will make him dislike [4159]. I do not want that to happen.
“Daughter [558] has a lovely baby. She is looking fine.”
R4. 8/28/28 Mrs. [325]‘s son [257] was present for a check reading for her, 325-21, and submitted questions.

B2. 6/25/28 “[257] is asking for a rdg. for me. Please forward to my home. I am enclosing a little gift to you, for a good smoke. This is not for the rdg., as [257] will take care of that. This is for yourself, and I hope that you will enjoy some thanks for all your wonderful efforts put forth for me and mine.”
B3. 6/26/28 Son [257] wrote: “I wish you would kindly take a ck. up on Mother before I leave [on business trip] and see whether she is applying the material properly and if the desired effects are being obtained. Secondly, see if she could stand the trip to Va. Beach and whether it would be good for her; if so, I will bring her down.”
