This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of June, 1937, in accordance with request made by the self, through Mrs. [601], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 3:15 to 3:20 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Michigan. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [1375].

2. As we would find, there are considerable improvements. There is the relief from the strains upon the system owing to the discharges through broken tissue in the lower portion of the alimentary canal. This as we find with the use of the Ash has not only been allayed but, when there may be the applica- tion of the high vibratory rate of the electrical forces in the rectal applicator, may be eliminated; and that tendency for this to become sarcomatous in its nature may be eradicated - if the proper eliminations are kept and the general applications that have been indicated.

3. There may be longer periods between the use of the Mullein Stupes, but continue with these from time to time.

4. Also made the applications for relieving the rash as shown by the poisons being drawn from the system, allayed and destroyed; but keep those precautions - as this may become an infectious condition to those handling same. [See 601-20, 6/28/37, etc. 4/20/38 Mrs. [601] died of cancer of the uterus!]

5. Keep the rest as has been indicated.

7. (Q) Should Castor Oil enemas be continued? (A) Sufficient to keep the eliminations in order with the discharges from the system; that is, the activities of the eliminating system, so as not to produce irritation.

The Oil in its activity with the Ash is most beneficial, not only healing but destructive to the character of tissue involved.

8. (Q) Should the osteopathic treatments be given every day? (A) These may be extended to every other day, as conditions justify.

9. (Q) Any advice regarding these? (A) Just keep the body relaxed so that there may be the better assimilation, relief from tension from nerve reaction, and the general conditions of the body.

10. (Q) Can Simmons’ Regulator be given about a quarter teaspoonful once or twice a week? (A) If the conditions justify the need of same, this would be very good - and may be given.

11. (Q) Is diet correct? (A) This is very good.

12. (Q) Is this condition cancer or ulcer? Please explain the difference if possible. (A) As has been indicated, this is more of a sarcomatous nature in its reaction - or cancerous; and the activities are such that they are of the nature as to grow within themselves.

Ulcer is rather that of flesh being proud, or becoming infectious; while cancer is that which lives upon the cellular force by the growth itself.

13. (Q) Any other advice at this time for mental attitude for this body? (A) Keep that constructive attitude ever in the prayerful manner; not only are the corrections for physical abilities but for mental and spiritual activity and aptitude also.

R1. 6/30/37 Mrs. [601]‘s letter: “Enclosed please find check for Mrs. [1375]‘s ck. reading. There is some improvement in the general condition but the discharge has not lessened enough to permit the use of the violet ray which was suggested in the previous reading.

“Dr. Thompson John R. Thompson, D.O.] left for a vacation last Sat. and due to the continuation of the discharge could not send the kind of report we hoped to as the reading of June 13th indicated that the discharge should cease in about 10 days. I am sorry we weren’t able to send the kind of report we hoped to, both for your sake and ours.

“Hope you will be able to rest up after these past strenuous days.

“[480] is fine and keeping active. Her doctor [I. L. O’Connor, D.O., obstetrician] is taking care of us [osteopathically] while Dr. Thompson is away.

“Love to all from all here.”

R2. 7/8/37 Mrs. [601]‘s letter regarding [480]‘s baby being born dead due to her absorbing rectal anesthetic:

“[619]‘s sister [1375] isn’t responding as well as the last reading indicated. The previous reading said the discharge should stop in 10 days and we would then be able to use the rectal violet ray. We are still using the mullein, the castor oil (every day), the ash when necessary, but no letup of the mucous and some bleeding. She is losing weight and is beginning to feel a little discouraged. Would you advise another reading at this time? She is going back to … in about 10 days. I have tried to do all I can to help her but cannot assume the responsibility of keeping her here indefinitely.

“[480] is our greatest concern at this time, to help her get back to normal and help her to gain a little peace of mind. [633] [her husband] has been wonderful throughout and is a fine companion for [480]. He has proven his worth.”

R3. 7/20/37 Mrs. [1375]‘s letter: “I am now back in … and am anxious to have another reading. Shall I still continue with the mullein leaves? also application of Cuticura Ointment and bichloride solution? I feel that I am growing weaker and wonder if I ought to continue with the diet. Am yet discharging mucous and blood. Kindly advise by air mail, special delivery, when I may have the reading. I will be at my sister’s home …, Mass. Shall I add anything to the diet? Has my condition improved?”

R4. 7/23/37 Mrs. [601]‘s letter: “Mrs. [1375] left for … last Sat. after being here close to 7 weeks. I have written her about her appointment for Mon. aft. and expect you will hear from her regarding her present address and also some questions. Please send me a copy of her reading. If you do not hear from her cancel the appointment.”
