EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see. Now, we find there are changes in the physical conditions existent in the body. More produced by the state of the nerves of the body than by other physical effects. For, with depletion in nerve resistance, we find the effect as produced on same in the nerve reaction produces distresses in the body through the mental reaction to same. While at the present time, now, we find conditions somewhat improved from that as has been recently in the body, still the effects of this are shown in the nerve reaction in the body. This is especially shown in the sensory nervous system and in those portions of same that cause the most distress in the body - the ear and the eye.
-
The condition as we find in ear, as has often been given, while the general condition in the constitutional functioning of system is on the improve, the body improves in this manner when the vibrations from electrical forces are correct [in the Wet Cell Appliance] and carry the nerve vibration along those channels that are beginning to show the effect of same in system. With the change in the nerve reaction through stress on the system, and the depletion of nerve energy, then the mental forces, through their retraction to same, bring distress to both auditory and visionary functioning of the sensory organism. Hence the distresses as have been caused in mental over conditions in change produced in vision and in the necessity of change in glasses for the eye. We find this produces mental worry and deterioration in the functioning of physical forces in the sensory organism.
-
The body will find the greater relief by having manipulations through OSTEOPATHIC forces that will relax the nerve system to the extent that the vibrations as created through the nerve tension will be relieved; and by the building up of the general system, through diet, through exercises necessary for physical equilibrium; and by keeping those vibrations as have been set at first for the body to improve in auditory forces Wet Cell Appliance].
-
Do not merely take adjustments [chiropractically, as have in the past been given]. Take those vibrations of the deep manipulation, osteopathically given, correcting the vibrations as found, as has been given, for the auditory forces.
-
Keep the mental equilibrium as near as possible to that condition wherein the physical will respond to that set for the system to build to; remembering ever that the physical reactions are found in the mental contribution toward same - that is, the physical reaction comes from mental thought when controlling same.
-
So, follow in those conditions as have been set for the body, [147].
-
(Q) Are the glasses the body now has correct? (A) Correct, when the mental and the physical, through the nerve strain, are relaxed, or the body through manipulation, OSTEOPATHICALLY, may be so set that the glasses as now prepared will reach the necessary vibrations for vision without strain.
-
(Q) How often should the osteopathic treatments be given? (A) At least twice each week.
-
(Q) How long should the body continue the osteopathic treatments? (A) As long as necessary to bring correct equilibrium.
-
(Q) Why has the hearing seemed to grow steadily worse? (A) As given.
-
(Q) Should the body use the battery? (A) Just given that it should.
-
(Q) What should the diet be for this body? (A) This has been given. Follow that.
-
(Q) What exercise should the body use? (A) That exercise sufficient to keep the physical equilibrium. Walking, working, or those exercises in opposition to those used in regular work. Relaxations, you see. In the open as much as possible.
-
We are through for the present.

R1. 6/19/25 She wrote: “Your reading received this morning at 7:30. I have no words to express my gratefulness to you for your work; also for the promptness in giving the Reading.
I haven’t had time to study it but I shall do every thing you have told me. Will get the Battery remade and take the osteopathic treatments and TRY to keep my mental condition normal.
One of the things that worried me so was the fear that my eyes were going just as my hearing did.
As you said nothing about it I judge it will be all right to go back to work if I don’t use my eyes too steadily.
I most assuredly do find it helpful when you check up on my condition often but I hesitate to ask when I feel I can’t pay each time. I know you mean just what you say and in the future I shall not hesitate. I have always known you were not doing the work for the money that was in it but I also realize you have to support yourself and family.
When I get the Batteries renewed and find an Osteopath, I’ll write you again.
I also want to say Mrs. Cayce is the best Conductor you have ever had. It is the first time questions have been asked to cover the case and I think she missed nothing.”
R2. 6/23/25 She wrote: “I had my first Osteopathic treatment yesterday, Monday and am having the battery made and will use it the first time tonight - so I am ready if you will check up on it to see if it is all right. I went to the best Osteopath I could find. If they are not all right and you think best I’ll try some one else. It seemed to me they did the work thoroughly.
I am trying to hold the thought that my eyes are going to be all right. I wouldn’t have been so worried only that I feared the cause of my deafness would also be the cause of losing my sight and it certainly has been hard to keep a cheerful attitude.
Just to try these glasses out at a distance I went to a picture show Saturday night and they were so blurry (just like a heavy coating of dust on them) I couldn’t tell what the picture was, scarcely, but when I would take them off I could see plainly. Of course I can’t see near by without them, no one my age could, but nothing is plain with them.
I’ll not leave the office any day until after 11:30 until I hear from you. From this time on I am going to report to you at least once a month. I have my battery changed every two weeks. That way I wouldn’t have it wrong more than two weeks at a time. Don’t you think that will be all right? I wouldn’t want to ask you to check up every two weeks - that would be asking too much even though you are so willing to help me.
I’ll be wearing the last lenses I had made when you check so you can tell me. You know I shall do everything you suggest to the very best of my ability. I have always tried to do my part, and always shall.
Again thanking every one of you and assuring you I more than appreciate all your kindness, I am”
Most sincerely, [147]

Background
B1. 3/21/25 She obtained Ck. Physical Rdg. 147-20 giving further advice for treating long standing deafness, complete in left ear and increasing in right.
B2. 6/13/25 She requested advice on treatment for hearing, also on change of eyeglasses 5 wks. ago although resting her eyes as oculist advised she is still unable to see because of blurs: “I think it is the glasses instead of my eyes as I can see without them - everything is so much clearer at a distance without them than it is with them.” Also: “It is now more than a year since we have had the Wet Cell Appliance made correctly and my hearing has grown steadily worse. Do you think I should take it again? I shall do whatever you say.”
