This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 35th St., Virginia Beach, Va., this 9th day of October, 1925, in accordance with request made by self, Mrs. [147].

1. EC: In many respects we find the body somewhat improved from that as we have had here before. While there is the exaggerated condition in the way the glasses affect the eyes, the general physical forces are bettered. We would correct these by having the examination and test made of same and correct the lens to suit the glasses or eyes better, see?

2. The vibrations as are being received from the battery formations, we would now change these to that of the Radio-Active Appliance; using the tincture of iron in same for the system, applying the large plate at the central portion of body, see? [umbilicus?] and the positive plate on the wrist, see? that is, place one on wrist first, see? then the plate on the umbilicus or just above and to the left [of the umbilicus?], and use on the negative wire the iron, see? This should be applied for two to three hours; not necessary to take off, you see, should the body not awaken. Use the thin large plate on abdomen, the small plate on the wrist, see? The German silver plates we find will not tarnish, or may be brightened simply by rubbing with a piece of lint paper, or of the tissue paper, see? Make the firm set in center of each plate, see?

3. Continue with the osteopathic treatments for a time as yet, see?

4. This battery [Radio-Active Appliance], we find, will not be necessary to recharge, except by placing in ice each evening, for this charges same, see?

5. Keep the diet much in the manner as given. We will bring the better conditions for this body. We are through for the present.

R1. 10/26/25 She wrote: “I received the Battery from Mr. [195] Saturday. His instructions were so plain I feel sure I understand them. We had no ice so I cannot use it until this evening.

“As I understood your letter you wanted me to write as soon as the Battery came that you might check up on it to see if it was correct and if I was using it correctly - that is why I shall start before hearing from you so you will know if I’m doing my part as I should. Possibly you didn’t intend to check, if not there is no harm done. I would write just the same to tell you it had come.

“If it is your intention to check will you PLEASE see if the glasses I now have are correct?

“I had my eyes tested, after your last Reading, he said one lense needed changing but not the other. When I got them there was the same condition as before - both as to the blurring and the pain in the eyes.

“I then went to another - he said the eyes were not focusing at the same point. He is making me temporary glasses - will get them this noon - to see if I can see through them. They are just near - not the bi-focles [bifocals] - I will have these when you get this letter. No doubt I’ll have to learn to wear them but do not want to strain my eyes on any more unless they are correct.

“Small blood vessels have broken several times in my right eye and both eyes are drawing. Do you suppose that has been the trouble all the while?

“Do you think if these glasses are properly fitted my eyes will be restored to normal? I am so nervous over the eye condition that it is affecting my general condition - and I have been counting so much on this new Battery - something that can be correct and we know it is correct.

“Mr. [195] wrote me such a nice letter, telling me how much he had been benefitted. [See 195-15 in re use of Radio-Appliance for his own deafness.]

“I am writing so hurriedly that I do not know that I’ve made this plain but trust you’ll understand it.”

B1. 8/7/25 She obtained Ck. Physical Rdg. 147-24 in re further treatment for long standing deafness, complete in left ear and increasing in right; also for eyes, pernicious anemia.

B2. 10/3/25 She wrote: “How I do thank you and appreciate your willingness to continue your help for me. Words are inadequate to express my gratefulness… Is the battery correct? Is my blood better? Should I take more osteopathy? Are these glasses I am now wearing the best I can get? If the trouble is not all with my eyes I’ll make another attempt to have my eyes fitted.

“The osteopath said the trouble with both eyes and hearing was catarrh but you have never once told me that was the cause. I suspect it was partly, if not all, guess work.

“I feel so much better physically and I am in hopes there will soon be a visible change in my hearing and sight, if the battery has been correct.”

B3. 10/6/25 She wrote: “I didn’t tell you in my last letter how painful my eyes had gotten but the more I think of it the more I feel I should. When I close the lids the pressure hurts them and on waking in the morning they are so painful when I first open them. They are so red and bloodshot I try not to worry but it is hard.

“I am having the battery renewed again tomorrow.”
