This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 3rd day of November, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [147], but volunteered by EC immediately following three other ck. rdgs., the last of which was Rdg. 341-15, without an appointment having been made for Mrs. [147].

1. EC: Now, we have the body, the mind, here, [147], …, Ohio. The applications of the vibratory forces as are being received through the applicator now used [Radio-Active Appliance] are giving the better, the more satisfactory vibration to the body, when applied fully in the manner as has been outlined for this body.

2. The eyes, as we see that have given the body trouble, cause consternation, worry, and the trouble brings great distress to the body through every mental and nerve manner, see? The change in the second glasses will prove more beneficial.

3. The body needs to carry within self that full desire of quietness from within. Let the healing forces come from within self, that these may be assisted and aided in giving the physical conditions to the body.

4. Well that the occasional osteopathic treatment be given. Not so often as heretofore, see, but these kept, that the eliminations of the system may be such that the correct vibrations are set in motion, that the better physical condition may resist all those conditions necessary for the body to gain the perfect equilibrium in same.

5. Do that. We are through for the present.

R1. 11/7/25 She wrote: “I only had the Battery five days when the Iron ate the little wire off. I wrote Mr. [195] about it and he had me send it back. When he saw it he said: ‘The Tincture of Iron surely acts on this nickle which shows there is quite a change taking place.’ I hope to get to using it again soon.

My eyes pained me so I had to quit typing. My work was all copying and I had to look at it so steadily that I couldn’t do it any longer. I don’t know whether it was the glasses caused it or what it was but I am going to give them a rest until the first of the year and see what they will do. The inside corner of the left eye feels so peculiar all the time and there are such sharp pains through them at times that I felt if rest would help them they should have it. Miss [4383] insists they will be so I can use them again by the first of the year but I am doubtful.

I am only waiting to get the Battery working correctly then I shall go to Mother’s till the first of the year. Of course I can’t get Osteopathy there but trust the Battery will be beneficial without it for the time being. And won’t it be a fine thing to think I won’t have to depend upon any one to charge it for me?

I understand from the Reading I was applying it correctly. Have been helping here at the office the past week - Miss [4383] would like to have me stay even though I can’t type but I feel it will do me good to get entirely away and not think even of work. I have been here 8 years and have worked so hard all that time.”

R2. 11/21/25 She wrote: “I want to thank you for your nice letter and to assure you I shall do everything I can to regain my health, even to promising to EAT LOTS and not to worry. I sometimes feel like I never did want to do another days work.

I leave Monday for … Would have gone before this but have been trying to find something better for my eyes. Have not succeeded though. Have done no typing, except personal letters for more than four weeks. Think I had more pain in the right eye last night than I ever have had.

Had the battery from Mr. [195] with the wire reinforced. Hope it STAYS this time as there will be no opportunity to have any repairs in …

Shall write you often to let you know how I am and hope to have a remittance for you soon.

R3. 1/21/26 She wrote: “I’ve been waiting to write you thinking I’d have a good report but if there is any change I’m not able to tell it. I have used the battery every night. We have had much trouble in keeping a wire that the iron would not eat. Mr. [195] sent a heavier one which I attached myself yesterday. Hope it is all right. I can’t help but feel discouraged as I thought there would be a visible change before this.

“I do not see any better but do not have the sharp pains through my eyes. They are quite painful during the night at times when I try to open them.

“I wanted you to know just how I am, and that I’m carrying out your instructions, or if I’m not it is because I’ve not understood.

“Am not taking osteopathy, as we have no one nearer than Columbus and Mother has been very, very ill ever since I came home and of course I cannot get away.”

R4. 2/2/26 She wrote: “In my letter I told you my eyes were better and they were apparently, but the past few nights they have been as bad as ever. This a.m. about 4 o’clock the right one felt just as if it had a piece of glass right in the pupil and the eyeball so sore but it is not painful now. Peculiar feeling like there was TOO MUCH EYE. They seldom pain during the day or before midnight.

“I thought not to say anything about them, then decided I would and you could do as you liked regarding them.”

B1. 10/9/25 She obtained Ck. Physical Rdg. 147-25 advising change to Radio-Active Appliance from Wet Cell, continued osteopathy for treatment of long standing deafness (complete in left ear, increasing in right); also retesting of eyes for glasses, etc.

B2. 10/26/25 She requested ck. rdg. to see if Radio-Active Appliance just rec’d is correct, and if she’s using it properly, also if glasses are properly fitted now.
