This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 W. 35th St., Va. Beach, Va., this 24th day of January, 1927, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [147].

1. EC: Now, we have here those conditions found in the body of [147], of …, Ohio.

2. In the various conditions as arise in the physical forces of the body here, we find some improvement shown in the general physical health of the body; yet accentuation in the conditions regarding the eyes, and the hearing. The eyes show improvement. The hearing shows that apparently the auditory nerves have not received their full connection through constant use of same, so that these are gradually losing rather than gaining. Yet, with constant use of the Radium Applicator as has been given, and with continuation of the vibration as brought about by applying the Radio-Active Appliance, we will gradually build back these conditions in the system, and keep the general health of the body in such conditions that the very best physical forces may be manifested through the system.

3. DO NOT give up. Exercise the mental forces and know that, with the proper active forces in the physical body, there will come about in the mental and in the activity of the physical that which will bring the best to the body in its activity throughout the physical plane.

4. No changes would we give, except to be very consistent - consistent and persistent with those conditions which have been and are being followed out. For there is that within the building forces of the body which will gradually BRING BACK these active forces, both in the auditory and in the whole sensory system.

5. Be not weary in well doing [Gal.6:9]. Do not give up easily. Those conditions that bring about depressing forces to the body, as are exercised at times, naturally bring depressed feelings. Overcome these by doing for others.

6. We are through for the present.

R1. 1/29/27 She wrote: “I’m only too glad to have the rdg., to criticize in any way. I shall keep right on and KNOW in time I’ll have relief… My eyes are so I can read and sew but little; my hearing so I can hear less; the housework is about the same as nothing; so you can see it is somewhat difficult to keep contented. I’m not complaining; am glad everything is as well as it is… If Mother were able to leave alone I’d get out and try to find something to do that required neither eyes, ears nor BRAINS, as there is nothing impossible any more; presume it could be done. In the meantime I shall keep on doing nothing to the best of my ability. I am getting lazy.”

B1. 8/20/26 She obtained Ck. Physical Rdg. 147-30 advising further in re treatment for long standing deafness (complete in left ear, increasing in right), and eye trouble, from dry catarrh [hypertrophic rhinitis?].

B2. 11/20/26 She reported eyes better but hearing growing worse.

B3. 12/15/26 She wrote: “My general health is better, but my hearing is so near gone. Do not see any better but my eyes haven’t been nearly so painful. Am faithful in wearing the Radium Pad and applying the Radio-Active battery twice a week.”

B4. 1/24/27 Following Ck. Physicals 953-26 and 583-6, EC volunteered Ck. Physical 147-31, without a definite appointment having been made for Mrs. [147].
