This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 25th day of January, 1938, in accordance with request made by the mother - through Mrs. [618], and Sponsored by Research Fund of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. A. M. Godfrey.]
Time of Reading 11:10 to 11:15 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Virginia. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here.
-
As we find, conditions are progressing - and in the present very satisfactorily.
-
We would, with the stimulations that have been received by the character of the manipulations and those effects of the Calcidin, now leave off the Calcidin. This will tend to make for a better equilibrium in the character of the pressures in the circulatory system and the quickness of the pulse.
-
But we would replace same by the use of Syrup of Squill. This we would take almost in the same manner that has been indicated for the Calcidin; until there is an allaying of this burning in the throat and a better activity or a full activity of the Squill forces through the alimentary canal. That is, take little sips about every hour; this means about a quarter teaspoonful in a little water, see?
-
The rest we would keep much in the same way and manner.
-
Do not give any heavy foods until there is a full allaying of the temperature and there is the stopping of the inclination for the skin to peel or to shed off - from the fever.
-
(Q) How about the bowel action? (A) Keep same above normal, or at least two or three times each day - active.
-
(Q) Is Milk of Magnesia sufficient? (A) If it is not sufficient, use the enema or oils - or both.
-
(Q) Is the heart action too fast? (A) As indicated, leave off the Calcidin and take the Squill; and it will become near normal.
This is an excess stimulation (the Calcidin) because of the reactions of the properties themselves with the character of manipulations being given.
Do as has been given.
The conditions are very satisfactory, if they are kept in these lines.
- We are through for the present.
