This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of January, 1939, in accordance with request made by the son-in-law - Mr. [1561], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., questions submitted through Hugh Lynn Cayce.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Hugh Lynn Cayce.]

Time of Reading 12:35 to 12:40 Noon - Eastern Standard Time. …, N.J.

  1. GC: Considering the fact that changes have taken place and that the original treatments suggested have never been given completely, please outline now, step by step, just which of the various treatments should be continued now. You will answer the questions which have been submitted, as I ask them:

  2. EC: As we find, there has been the suggestion, the question as respecting the activities of individuals as related to the use of the specific active principles or forces. This LASTLY has been given as an outline.

  3. However, if there is the desire on the part of those who have the responsibility, or the care, to again undertake those activities which were first outlined, then we would give that in toto as FIRST indicated; with the gentle massage, the applications for the breaking up of congestion, and the SUGGESTIONS for leaving off impending forces from without and within which clash so one with another.

  4. (Q) Would Dr. W. D. Taylor [William D. Taylor, N.D.] be the proper person to handle this case from this point on, giving the needed stimulation in the spinal centers? (A) As to who is a proper person, - those who have been indicated are capable. As we find, there is a great deal of self-assurance and self-assertiveness in the make-up of W. D. Taylor. If the activities are used rather in the creative influence, that being the impelling force and not SELF, - it would be very well. If these are used or made as of self and self’s impelling force, not so good.

  5. (Q) Would he be a good person to give the massage? (A) Very good.

  6. (Q) Could he give the suggestions needed? (A) As indicated, if they are given and NOT self, Taylor imposed, but the spirit of truth, the spirit of helpfulness - and Taylor merely as a channel, - very well.

  7. (Q) Should the original electrical treatments be tried now using the B battery? (A) If it is given at a very low amperage, yes.

  8. (Q) Is the violet ray (old style) which the family has, alright to use? (A) It’s alright to use provided it is done in such a manner not to excite the body. The currents in the body first, without the bulb, would better given FIRST - with the suggestion that they dissipate the influences which cause the reaction of fear, of an emotional reaction.

  9. (Q) How often and how long at a time should it be used? (A) About three times a week - it will be gradually increased as quietness is able to be brought about. This should be able to be given for ten minutes, after the third or fourth experience.

  10. We are through with this Reading.
