This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 9th day of February, 1942, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [1745], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 11:15 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern War Time.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1745]; this we have had before.

3. In many ways conditions are improved from those we have had before. It is apparent that the incoordination between the eliminating channels of the body, through this crystallization, causes or indicates a disturbance - or an accumulation in the kidney.

4. That there should be operative measures becomes a question.

5. As we find, it would NOT be well for same in the present conditions; that is, with the lack of the ability of coagulations and this upsetting or incoordination of the activities between liver AND kidneys as to eliminations.

6. WE would give:

7. Build up the body.

8. Continue with the adjustments or manipulations to aid in establishing better equilibrium.

9. Do add to the diet more of the Vitamins A, D and B-1. These may be taken in the concentrated form or they may be taken in that manner alternately with the excess quantity of foods that carry the same influences or properties.

10. After there has been the building to a near normal count in the white and the red blood, and the leucocytes for the body (which should require at least six weeks), then again see what would be indicated by the fluoroscope, shadowgraph or x-ray. And if there is an increasing in the size of the shadow, it may be well to operate.

11. But DO NOT do so at once! DO build the blood supply for body coagulation. For, this will not be an easy matter on the body forces, see?

12. Do these, then, in the manner indicated, and then - after a period of some five or six weeks - test the blood stream for the normal reaction in a hemoglobin and the count, as indicated. THEN have another x-ray.

13. And then it may be determined by the body, AND those reading the shadow, as to courses to pursue.

14. DO NOT overtire the body during these weeks. However, do not just give up or sit around and wait. DO keep the mind active also, and that is best done in normal or regular activity.

15. Ready for questions.

16. (Q) In what concentrated form should the vitamins be taken? (A) Whether in pellet or capsule or liquid, taken in water or eaten, this should be determined by self!

17. (Q) What foods should the body eat? (A) This depends upon which ones are to be reinforced. This should come better under the direction of one making the adjustments, or the regular physician.

Dear Mr. [1745]-

Sorry to hear you are having such a development - but do hope the suggestions will help, and that you may not find it necessary for an operation, tho there is little or no other way to get rid of such if they have crystallized enough not to be able to eliminate them.

Be sure and let us hear from you and to how you get along, will be anxious to hear from you.

R2. 2/13/42 [1100]‘s letter: ”…My mother’s letter told me of the doctor’s discovery of the kidney stone and of his wanting to operate. Feel sure he will follow suggestions in building up the blood before that is done, if it is necessary. Am writing them at once…”

Dear Mr. Cayce:

Received the reading OK and am disappointed that you did not find that the X Ray was mistaken or was in the hopes of finding some thing that would dissolve the stone.

I had a very highly rated M.D. examine me and make the Xray and took the reading to him. He was so much interested that he entered your information to my chart.

Hoping that some thing will occur to avert an operation and in going over the reading if you can see some thing in it that might help me I would appreciate a word from you. With best regards for you and yours I am

R4. 6/3/42 [1745]‘s letter to EC:

Dear Mr. Cayce:

As things haven’t been going so well with me. I had another Xray made of my right kidney, the results I will talk over with the doctor Friday. It doesn’t seem to me that my aches and pains are in the kidney area. Please take another reading and check this kidney.

(1) Has the stone or deposit disappeared? (2) Is there any agent that will cause the body to absorb this stone, if so please give directions how to obtain and administer the same. (3) I have been urged to go to Dr. Snyder, at Glen Rose, Texas, a magnetic healer, who has quite a reputation for handling such cases. Can his power cause the body to absorb this stone (I am particularly anxious for this question to be answered) due to the interest of the friend.

If there is no other means except operative please give me the best dates about the latter part of this month to undergo such an operation as I want my appendix out at the same time.

You do not have to confirm appointment. I’ll be at the … Food Market, … Drive, …, Texas every day between the hours of 9 A.M. and 12 Noon (… time) except Sundays.
