This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of July, 1941, in accordance with request made by the self - Miss [1747], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 4:00 to 4:10 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [1747].

3. While physical conditions have improved in some respects, there are still those disturbances existent in the gall duct area that cause the inflammation or infection to flare up at times; causing an irritation in the superficial circulation by the lack of COORDINATION in the superficial and the cerebrospinal or deeper circulation - in the ELIMINATING centers of the system.

4. So, by this incoordination, properties that should be eliminated through alimentary canal or through kidneys, or through the respiratory system, are attempted to be eliminated through the perspiratory system or the superficial circulation.

5. Hence the rashes that are produced, the itches at times, the splotches and bumps that occur on portions of the body, - as on the abdomen, portions of the breast and the like.

6. These as we find become quite aggravating, more than disturbing in any other manner.

7. Then, - we would consistently take ENO SALT in series, as a means of stimulating the eliminations. Take a teaspoonful in a glass of water each morning before the meal, for a week - seven days. Then leave off for five days, then take again for seven days, - and so on.

8. After the second series, and during that period of rest, have at least two deep osteopathic manipulations; with the character of treatment to DRAIN the gall duct.

9. Following these, begin to take Olive Oil in small quantities, - half to a teaspoonful three to four times each day, - for at least a period of two weeks.

10. Then have a thorough colonic irrigation.

11. After that we would have about six to eight GENERAL osteopathic treatments.

12. And we will find bettered conditions will come about for this body.

13. In the matter of the diet, - do not take fried foods or quantities of grease, or vegetables cooked with meats. Rather cook the foods in their own salts.

14. These as we find should bring better conditions for this body, [1747].

15. Ready for questions.

16. (Q) What is primal factor of the infection on my body? (A) As indicated.

17. (Q) What is cause of the sluggish, dizzy, foggy condition in my head? (A) As indicated, the incoordination in eliminations.

Do these things as indicated, and we will find that this will disappear.

18. (Q) Any spiritual advice? (A) Keep that mental attitude which is constructive in its nature.

Let thy prayer and meditation be, - though, to be sure, in thine own words:

“LORD, HERE AM I - THY SERVANT; SEEKING TO KNOW THY WAY, THY WILL WITH ME. USE THOU MY MIND, CORRECT MY BODY IN SUCH WAYS AND MEASURES THAT I MAY FULFIL THAT PURPOSE THOU HAST WITH ME, HERE AND NOW.

Dear Mr. Cayce

Sorry I didn’t receive your letter until the 23 in the evening because I was out to cottage at Milton Dam. I was all set for the 21st and thought you had given my reading then. So left for the Lake and didn’t receive your letter until Wednesday evening.

It seems to take so long for mail to come thru.

I will be at home any Thursday so if you haven’t already given me my reading do so on a Thursday at your convenience.

Dear Mr. Cayce,

I have long wanted to write to you about some question and have just put it off but I must know these things so here goes?

When you become a member or when you pay $20.00 for the first reading does that include check reading for a year? or does include any at all? or how many? People would like to know. They like to pay their own way. And often would like a check reading to see how much they have progressed. Yet frequently are not in the position to pay out anymore money than is necessary.

I would also like your advise as to which you think would be the most suitable and easiest understood books for a Sunday School teacher. Her name is Mrs. […]. She is quite fond of poetry & philosophy.

The book that Miss Wymn has had published or that book on the Bible. Am I correct in that you have given reading on both the material for these books?

At least I am under the impression that you have given interpretations on the Bible.

I would at least like to know more about both articles.

Dear Miss [1747]

Glad to have yours of the 30th - had been thinking of you, wondering how you were and if you had gotten all settled in the work that you liked and all.

Now for your questions - am sending you some data (two booklets) on page 18 your questions are all answered. However as you doubtless know this is not a hard and fast rule. No one who really desires a reading - especially one who has already had a reading is denied one because of money. Not that the treasury of the Ass’n is flushed, in fact it is usually more than empty. But this work is never a matter of money - only wish that I never had to mention price for anything for such as this work - if it be what we think it is

• should never have to be quibbled about money. And whether there is pay or not the real seeker gets reading when it is desired. And whenever an individual has had a reading and wishes to check-up, they should never question as to whether they have to pay or not - for they will when they have it contribute to same.

“If the work is right it will succeed - if it isn’t it has no right to succeed” is how the information has put it since the beginning. The Trustees have set the rules as suggested in booklet as what they feel would be right, according to needs of the Assn.

A book that I would especially recommend for your S.S. Teacher is Carrel’s “Man the Unknown”. If she hasn’t read this it will give her the background for real though along spiritual lines. And he helpful am sure. If poetry alone - anything by Ella Wheeler Wilcox is good.

The book you heard Miss Wynne speak of [A SEARCH FOR GOD] has not as yet been published, it is still in the making - this is a compiled study of “Soul development” and is taken almost entirely from readings and individual application of suggestions made in same.

The Bible Study lessons, is from another group entirely, [EC’s Tuesday Night Bible Group Minutes] these are in the making and is like this: two years ago next January some 4 or 5 people asked me if I would read the Bible with them each week chapter by chapter and verse by verse so we began, from the first notes were taken and written up each week, the interest has continued to grow, until now there are each week some 25 to 30 present at each Tuesday night meeting and there are some 15 or more leaflets with the written report sent out each week to those interested who are not able to be present at the meetings - and include people in - Minn., Ohio., Penn., N.Y., Tenn., Ala., Fla., W.Va., Ky., Tex. and Cal. Maybe others that I do not know of, these are not from readings but to be sure are shaded from the interpretation the readings have given to the word its self. You might find these very interesting - but if you do take these up be sure and get the first lessons or leaflets, for the basis of the whole Book from this standpoint is expressed mostly from the 1st three chapters of Genesis. Hope have explained these so as to give you the idea - if any other questions Miss [1747], please don’t hesitate to ask, am not very good at making some things plain, when they are so much a part of me, as it makes me forget the other person doesn’t see from just my view point.

Mighty glad to hear from you, hope you are well and those about you. We just got home from three weeks trip to N.Y. - expected to be away only two but stayed three. Very nice trip met many of old friends and hope made a few new ones.

Dear Mr. Cayce,

May I say Thank you for your kind thought of me. Yet as I read it [282-59 Xmas message to all A.R.E. members] I felt as if you were wondering about me. Wondering just what was in my heart.

Maybe that was only my own subconscious. For I wonder often and I am often confused as to what to do.

I pray often that I might understand and have the courage, faith, love and strength to do as He would have me do.

Would you pray also that I might become one of His own.

May I say again that my trip to Virginia Beach was one that I will never forget and as the time flys way I hold each moment closer to my heart. [1747]

R5. 1/9/42 EC’s letter to [1747]

Dear Miss [1747]

Thank you for yours of the 2nd, appreciate your thought of me. We often think of and speak of you here, and what a wonderful example you are of what all members of the Ass’n should be, and we all thank you for the example.

Am sure you are being guided right - just keep to that Faith as is found in HIM. And as He walks and talks with you from day to day, am sure you will be guided in the right pathway.

You may be sure will be happy to Pray with and for you. We have a prayer group, as has regular hours for meditation and prayer - would you like to be a member of that. Would be glad to have you if you would care to join with us am sure have accomplished much here and there - much that seems almost unbelievable yet, am sure has brought much to those who have been close to same. Will send you the data on same if you like and will be glad to have you on our list.

Am happy indeed to hear you say you got so much from the meeting last year several others speak like that also, while feel very humble still very happy about it - but all Praise to HIM.

Thanking you again and for the many you have spoken to about the work here. It is members like yourself we need to spread the word of the good we may find in closer communion with HIM.

R7. 4/14/52 [1747]‘s 3rd physical reading:

This condition cleared and was better. This year I had a return of the same. But is better now.

I have always had trouble with my eliminations. And do have such lumps as he speaks of at times.

Verbal report: I followed just as it was outlined. As in the previous cases, I got very good results from following the suggestions in the reading. I found living with others, that it was not so easy to follow the suggested diet - but other than this I followed my reading to the letter.
