This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 2nd day of February, 1939, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [1787], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 11:20 to 11:25 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ky.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions he has submitted, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes.

3. As we find, there are indications of improvement throughout the body.

4. That there has been somewhat too DEEP an application to the areas from which the bronchi receive the impulse is indicated by the tendencies for the tissue to break under strain, or when there has been severe activity of the physical body and then a general relaxing of same.

5. Not that these applications are to be left off, but not quite so severe or deep in the corrections through the upper dorsal and cervical area.

6. Stimulate a little more through the 9th, 10th and 11th dorsal area.

7. ALSO we would add Atomidine; two minims (two drops) in half a glass of water twice each day, - half or three quarters of an hour before the morning meal, and again in the afternoon between three and four or five o’clock. DO NOT gulp this; rather SIP it. Take at least three minutes to consume this quantity.

8. Take it in this manner for five days, leave off three days, then take again for five days. Do this until at least six such rounds or periods have been completed.

9. These properties as we find add to the system not only the healing but purifying of the glandular system and STRENGTHENING through the ability of the blood supply for coagulation; thus reducing the inclination and tendencies for the body to have the veins or the circulation through the lymph to break so easily.

10. The rest as we have outlined should be kept nominally.

11. We are through with this Reading.

Dear Mr. [1787]:

Do hope the suggestions given in the check help the situation. Also that the Dr. takes the suggestions as to his work correctly. As for the suggestion for the Atomidine for fear that you might have trouble getting it asked the Local Druggist to send you a bottle C.O.D. If that is not alright please let me know and will take care of it.

Certainly hope you will soon be feeling just the best ever

R2. 2/13/39 Mr. [1787]‘s letter to EC:

Mr. Edgar Cayce, Virginia Beach, Va.

Dear Mr. Cayce;

A letter of your last reading received and also the medicine from the druggist in Virginia Beach.

The bleeding which I wrote you about has receded to a very small amount with scarcely any some days. However the knot on my throat continues to enlarge. It is now about half the size of an egg.

I met Dr. Gather [Gant Gaither, M.D.] of Hopkinsville yesterday and I showed him the knot. He advised that I see him again in two weeks. That he was sure that it would have to be cut out.

My cough continues to improve and I do not wheeze or rattle any at night.

I do not wish to have Dr. Gather to treat the knot on my throat except on your advice.

For your information I might say that for a year previous to my communication with you I took iodine constantly, under the advice of a physician.

Please advise me at your earliest convenience.
