This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 17th day of February, 1939, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [1787], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 10:40 to 10:50 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Kentucky.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions he has submitted, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes.

3. As we find with this body, [1787], conditions in the main are continuing on the improve. Just be consistent in the general activities in the care of the body as related to colds, congestion, and exposure, overactivity - and as to dust or gas.

4. Be mindful that the diet is kept well balanced in the line as indicated.

5. As for the growth on the throat, we would continue with the carrying out of those suggestions which have been indicated. If this continues to drain from the system and enlarge, we would within - or after the next three or four weeks, - have operative measures for same.

6. Throughout this period be sure there is plenty of green or leaf lettuce taken, AND celery, as a part of the diet. This will enable the blood supply to be so improved as to make better coagulation when such would be necessary - if it continues to grow or produce a strain on the system.

7. (Q) What is the nature of this growth? (A) It is a broken cell that is draining from the system.

R3. 6/22/39 EC’s letter to Mr. [1787]:

Dear Mr. [1787]-

Thank you for your wire [6/20/39 wire used in 1937-1. See 1937-1 on 6/25/39] - and your interest in our friend Mr. [1937]. Owing to the meeting just held here and the number of people present who are just waiting for the periods promised them cannot get to this before Sunday afternoon the 25th. Realize this may be a case of life and death, but is the very best can do. Do hope the delay causes no ill effects and that we may be of a real service. Have written Mr. [1937] - asking for better address than P.O. Box. Also any special questions for immediate conditions.

Do hope can be of help.

R4. 7/17/39 EC’s letter to Mr. Brown:

Dear Mr. Brown [M. R. Brown];-

Have yours of the 13th [See 1967-1] - and will be happy to try and be of a service to little [1967] - and only pray God will grant me the power and strength to be of a service - appreciate Mr. [1787]‘s confidence, and just hope and trust that the results will be such that all in that vicinity may take heart.

Please give in detail the address - that is, give same as if you were expecting me to make a personal visit to his home.

The first open period we have is the afternoon of the 25th 3.30 to 4.30 E.S.T. that is 2.30 to 3.30 your time. Please ask all that are interested in the boy to pray for him at that time.

R5. 9/20/39 [1787]‘s letter to EC:

Mr. Edgar Cayce, Virginia Beach, Va.

Dear Mr. Cayce;

My health has improved wonderfully since taking the treatments as suggested by you, although I still wheeze some at night and spit off only about 10% as much phlegm as I did last January when I first communicated with you. There is seldom any blood in the sputum, now, just a speck about the size of a pin head every three or four days.

I am still short-winded and breathe hard at the least exertion and at times my heart doesn’t feel as strong as it should. I have inhaled the fumes from keg of apple brandy continuously since last January, and have also kept up the Osteopath treatments as suggested by you. For the past two months I have taken only one treatment a week. I am continuing Calcios with my evening meal.

My general health has improved 100%, and I have kept up my duties as mine Supt., but I am terribly handicapped by being so short winded.

I have been wondering if you have any other suggestions to make or if you would care to give me a check up.

The knot on my throat which I wrote you about last spring was diagnosed as a goitre. Dr. Gather [Gant Gaither, M.D.] removed this on May 16th and it turned out to be a pus bag, so it gave me no trouble at all.

I am very grateful to you for the assistance and help you have given me, and have never lost an opportunity to praise your good work.

I would be pleased to hear from you soon in regards to this matter and if there is further charge please let me know.

R6. 9/23/39 EC’s letter to Mr. [1787]:

Dear Mr. [1787]:

Thank you for yours of the 20th - as certainly very glad for you to know you are feeling so much better. Sincerely hope we may be the means of your gaining further help. Will be glad to make an appointment for a check reading if you wish. The first open time we have is the morning of the 4th of Oct. 10.30 to 11.30 E.S.T. Hope that will be convenient for you. Be sure and let us know where you will be at that hour, and if there are special questions you would like to have asked, be sure and let us have them when you let me know where you will be.

Thanking you for your report - and all the praise is to HIM the Giver of all good and perfect gifts.
