This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 18th day of April, 1939, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [1866], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 10:40 to 10:50 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of the body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions she has submitted, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1866]; this we have had before.

3. As we find, there are many changes in the general physical forces of the body since last we had same here.

4. There are disturbing conditions that will need consideration and care. We find that these have to do with disturbances which have been in a manner, or partially, of long standing, - having to do with the glandular forces and activity of the pelvic organs, as to their position.

5. And with the changes that are naturally or gradually beginning to come about, it will require that there be some operative forces; that there may be no reinfection or infected portions - in the tubes as well as the ovary becoming so disturbed as to produce such inflammation as to cause aggravated conditions that would produce at periods too much of a flow from the system for the general low vitality which has been experienced at times by the body.

6. Hence precautions taken in the present, before this becomes too advanced, would be the better. It would necessitate, however, that there be precautions taken as to the time or period this would be preformed, and that there be the proper precaution taken as to the amount of the coagulability of the blood supply at the time of such measures being taken.

7. In the present, there is lowness as we find in the hormone as would be of the thrombus nature. But, through the proper precautions, this may be so overcome as to be NOT a great or dreaded experience, - that will make for much better conditions throughout this body.

8. Ready for questions.

9. (Q) What preparation is necessary? (A) As just indicated, in seeing that the blood supply is in the conditions where proper coagulation would take place.

This may be by hospitalization for a little while, or by the proper precaution as to diet and the supplying of the elements to produce same through the body - or the blood stream.

Dear Miss [1866]:

Was not surprised when heard from you - as had had a very unusual experience of seeing and talking with your Father [287] in a dream the day before received your letter, may be just coincidence or not any way - you know I thought a very great deal of him, and am glad to try and help at any time any of you. Do hope every thing works out fine, and soon you will be feeling your normal good self again. How is your Mother [2646] and Miss [4383].

Please remember me to the Dr. [2227] and be sure and let us hear from you.

R2. 11/21/39 [1866]‘s letter to EC:

GRANT HOSPITAL COLUMBUS, OHIO

Dear Mr. Cayce -

Well, at last I have followed your advice as well as that of my physicians here!

I was operated Nov. 2 (put it off all summer) & I am going home today. I am so thankful it is over for I have worried about it for so long.

I got along fine, surgically but my nervous system has simply gone to pieces however as I get strong, I will overcome that part of it.

Your prompt reading of last spring was much appreciated & I am so ashamed for not answering it immediately.

All the rest of the family are as usual & wish to be remembered to you & Mrs. Cayce.

I should have told you that they removed a large fibroid tumor & appendix from me & definitely NOT malignant which is always a relief.

R3. 11/24/39 EC’s letter to [1866]:

Mrs. [1866] …, Ohio

Dear Miss [1866]

Thank you very much for yours of the 21st - have thought of you often since we had the reading and had wondered how it had all come out. Am happy indeed to know that you have had it done and that you got along so nicely, and most of all that there was no signs of it being more serious. Am sure you will soon be feeling a great deal better, and have a new lease on life. Thank you for letting me hear. Please remember me to the Dr and especially to your Mother and Aunt.

We are all just fair here. Mrs. Cayce has been having some trouble with the sight of one of her eyes from an injury she had while we lived in Dayton - the information sent her to a Dr. in Kentucky. She has been there for last two weeks - talked with her last evening. She said she would know today just how she had responded to the treatments. Do hope she comes along alright and is back with us soon. Certainly miss her. We are keeping quite busy and have a heavy weekend as several from out of town will be here for the work.

Dear Mr. Cayce -

Will you please take a reading on myself? I have been miserable for so long and the Doctors feel that an operation is necessary. I cannot go thru with anything surgical without hearing from you.

Please have Mrs. Cayce ask whether

(a) an operation is necessary or (b) what the treatment should be or is it just a normal result of this time of my life.

I will be home ALL DAY THURSDAY - or FRIDAY MORNING - or SATURDAY AFTERNOON after 2.30 P.M.
