EC: Yes, we have those relations that surround this entity, now known as [1912].
-
In entering the earth’s plane astrologically, we find the entity coming under those influences that must be met in the present experience, will there be the full or whole development that may be made in the present experience; coming under the astrological influence of that period when fire, water and air are all as active influences in the entity’s experience, and will require, then, the application of that developing influence in the mind or in the will of the entity itself, to meet those vicissitudes in the present experience; yet in many respects we will find the entity, those relations with and the experiences of the entity, such as will make for one of an extreme nature, and in the right direction, provided the surroundings, the influences in the present experience, are of that compatibility that makes for the actions - not of a temporary, but of a comprehensible nature for the entity itself.
-
In those influences, then, astrologically, we find the entity coming under the influence of Jupiter marred with Saturn, making for extremes in the entity’s influence; VENUS with an influence in Mercury, making for the love and the mental or mind influence, as of one - that may be seen even by those influences in the entity’s experience - where the mind and the heart are one. Hence an extremist may the entity become, even in this direction, yet guided and guarded correctly we will find these will bring for an influence that will make for a developing throughout the present experience. Also those influences that we find with those of Mercury, with Jupiter, Mars and Uranus - these as almost a triune in the experience, yet in the present conditions - astrologically, as we will find - and especially for the next nine to ten months - will make for an uncertainty in many directions, unless that benevolent influence in Mercury and Venus makes for a stabilizing influence in the entity’s experience, as relating to the mental, the marital, and those of a paternal nature.
-
In the application of the will in the entity’s experience - these, as we shall see, have been used in a way and manner so that the development has been both good and bad, or an advancement as well as a retarding, making for the necessity of those surroundings for the entity in the present - as to its mental, as to its love influence, as to its desires - that may be made either of the carnal nature or of the spiritual influences. Made in the spiritual, there will be the development in the present; while those of the purely carnal or of material forces ruling will bring for those in the end of a dissatisfaction that must bring consternation, turmoil, strife, and dissension in the experience in the present influence; yet these, as we see, guided aright - these, as we see, used in the manner as a stepping stone - that is, those that have been of hindrances used as stepping stones rather than stones about the self that would drag down - they may be builded up. In the will’s application, make that as is innate in the experience of the entity. Be not high-minded, but condescending to, harkening to, counsel of those - not worldly wise, but spiritually wise - and spiritually minded, heeding in a manner that those lessons that are given may be as experiences in the balance of the entity’s mental forces, as to gain by those experiences, and passing under the rod in a manner that will make for a GLORIOUS influence in the entity’s experience in the present force.
-
In the appearances and their influence upon the present experience of the entity, as we find:
-
In the one before this we find during that experience of the first settling in the present land, when the entity was among those who came into the land, and aided in the conquering of same. The entity came as the younger among the older individuals, pushing forward by main strength, cunning, and ability of the entity, able to make associations and relations with the peoples of the new land in such a way and manner as to become most beneficial to the peoples during that period. In the name Blairl. In the experience the entity gained and lost. Gained in the manner in which aid and succor was given to those with and for whom the entity labored. Lost in the aggrandizing of self’s interest in the latter portion, for the entity became one that was set up as a ruler among this strange new people in a far land even from the entering in. In this the entity lost, yet in this the entity gained much. Gained when harkening to the counsel of those that were of the spiritual minded; losing when harkening to those innate desires to be free and to give that which was CENSURED in others BY the entity under the persecutions in the younger days of that experience. In the present we find this has made for the continual, or continued, innate influence in the entity as to seeking the counsel of older individuals; yet capable to push out and to make a material success where others have failed. In the accomplishing of tasks that others have been unable to conquer, will offer always a field for the entity to choose and to work in - whether in dealing with those things that pertain to individuals or that pertain to things; yet - as WE find - those that have the most to do with materials coming from earth’s storehouse, either of manufactured or of raw materials, will offer the greater OPPORTUNITY for the entity - yet the USE of opportunity will be the making of or the setting back of the entity in this experience.
-
In the one before this we find in that land now known as the Persian, or the nomad land - rather in that portion of Persia now known as Arabia. The entity then among those that pushed into the Persian land, among those that conquered those of the Media and Croesus’ forces, and those of the old building up of the temples in the land. The entity then became a power as a leader, and many were the hosts that followed the entity through that experience, gaining - though suffering brought in some respects, when considered from a standpoint of bringing physical conditions, yet on the whole the entity gained MOST through THIS experience; losing only when brought under the influence of the younger peoples to bring persecutions for the joy of PHYSICAL satisfaction, or for those of selfish interests. In the name Tjltod. In the present experience the abilities to meet any and every character of circumstance that arises in the entity’s experience makes for that of an EVEN personality, an EVEN force as pertaining to abilities of making self agreeable in groups, or as an individual to speak to, a good conversationalist, a good salesman, a good active one to mediate between those with differences of opinion, and a tendency to arbitrate many of the forces or many of the circumstances that arise in the experience of the entity - rather than going to excesses in those as pertain to phases that take on differentiations - or parade same before groups.
-
In the one before this we find in that land now known as the Egyptian, in that period when there were divisions among the peoples and on account of the priest that was banished. The entity was then known as the doorkeeper in the temple, or that one as a heralder for those who entered in - that would be termed in the present as an ANNOUNCER. The entity was then in contact with all the varying influences and forces that were seen or experienced during the period, yet remaining quiet, peaceful in self through it all; PORTIONS of same for SELFISH interests, portions of same for the ease that same brought to self; gaining and losing during this experience, yet the CONSISTENCY of that exists in the entity at present (if it may be termed such) as to religious thought, ONLY in the present it is NOT SETTLED in one direction. While we find these of a nature that makes for (as during that experience) the holding to that which may be termed as orthodox, yet not wholly does the entity hold to that to which it subscribes - but these are safe, PROVIDED they do not become a stumbling block to the entity through the experiences when these come to the positions (to which the entity MUST rise, would the advancements come, to places of high position) where questions will be asked. Then, make for self a sane and an understanding manner in that which it believes, and act in that manner. In the name Elelei. In the experience the entity gained and lost, and in the present these may become stumbling blocks - yet may be made safe and sane in the surroundings of self with that of an ideal; NOT ideas.
-
In the one before this we find in that land now known as the western land in the present country, and during those periods when there were the sojourn of the peoples from the first land, the inundations of the isles in the sea. The entity was among those who embarked to this strange land, and settling there in the groups over which the priestess became the ruler in the land now known as Arizona, or as the New Mexico land. The entity gained through the experience under the guidance, the tutelage, and finally the ruler of the land - for the entity mated then with this princess, [See 349-1] or priestess, in the land - and GAINED in the latter portion, when service of both those gained of old and those of new became the message to the peoples that gathered little by little about the entity. In the name Hohoi. In the present we find the abilities to meet those of various beliefs on a common GROUND, yet do not allow same to become a stumbling block.
-
In the ABILITIES of the entity in the present, and that to which it may attain, and how:
-
These, as we find, may go afar, may go high, may GAIN much - as experience and the surroundings permit for the entity, and in those relations that may be created within the next twelve moons may bring for the entity that of the building, or the basis for that development that may bring the best in the experience of the entity in this present sphere. Apply self first in the ideal, and make self sure in the counsel of those of older years - as compatible WITH those of judgment; for the entity’s judgment is good, PROVIDED it takes TIME to decide. Ready for questions.
-
(Q) At what year should he contemplate marriage? (A) During the next twelve to fourteen months.
-
(Q) Is the girl [Miss [349]] now contemplated the one for him? (A) Would be well. The entity should mate with one either of February or December.
-
(Q) Will the difference in age between them be a barrier in marriage? (A) Be rather as a helpfulness to this entity.
-
(Q) How can they best understand each other, to make for a happily married life? (A) Understand SELF; and knowing that - as their lives are builded again together, as of old, in a compatibleness that will be found in each - knowing that there must NOT be the losing of temper (for both are high tempered) at the same time.
-
We are through.

R1. 2/27/31 Miss [349]‘s letter to GD:
“This is the very first minute I have had to sit down and write my appreciation to you and Judge for the wonderful Life reading that you got in, for me, and I indeed appreciate your wonderful cooperation. It has helped me to understand the situation so much better, and it is really very true in regard to [1912]‘s character. He’s quite an unusual chap but is more or less unsettled, and so I have decided that for perhaps the next two years, he is to stay in business with his father and show me what he can do in that period of time, and then if we still feel the same way, and I feel that it would be well for us to marry each other, then we shall do so. I can always tell within me when the time is ready for a new situation or condition and can always trust my instinct. In the meantime, I am going on, very much as I have been - working here and doing dramatic work as a hobby and sideline, for the next two years anyway…”
R2. 4/6/31 Miss [349]‘s letter relating various problems in her family and work, then: “My romance has gone the way of all romances…” etc.
R3. 9/7/31 See 349-8, Par. 28-A—31-A, in re [1912] accepting [349]‘s decision that they stay apart in this life.
R4. 7/17/34 Miss [349]‘s letter following a reading which advised her to marry Dr. [4948]: “As a matter of fact, I have always cared more for someone else - this [1912] chap, but apparently it just isn’t meant to be…”
R5. 3/11/35 Miss [349]‘s letter: ”…As far as my ‘heart’ is concerned, it still feels very deeply over someone who, I have found, goes to London in the spring to be married, and I seem to be half alive since I found that out. I suppose I am foolish, but how can one govern those feelings? Anything that one is supposed to do to overcome such feelings I have done, but it doesn’t help much. That comes of making a man of someone and acting altruistically for the good of someone else, but who are we, and how are we, to judge, since we are only human? I should have acted for myself at the time instead of putting someone else ahead of my wishes and feelings…”

Background
B1. 1/22/31 Miss [349]‘s letter to GD:
“I’m writing Judge personally in another letter. You know how I have always felt about a stage career and I still feel very much the same way. However, things are very bad in that field as well as all others, and in the meantime, I have met a very wonderful chap to whom I am more or less engaged. There are several obstacles, but he is very anxious to get married, at least the latter part of this year, as soon as he can get himself set, financially. There is one big obstacle, that of age. I’m older than he is, but there isn’t a single flaw in his character or demeanor and he really is quite unusual mentally. He is way beyond the average and is really my equal, and more, in appearance and mentality; otherwise, I should not consider him at all.
“What I should like to do is to get a reading on him, a Life reading, so that I can understand him, and at the same time find out if it is advisable for us to get married and when. Also, in regard to my feeling entirely satisfied after marriage, in connection with giving up what I have always wanted to do. You can understand how I feel, I am sure, and surely would love to get this reading, if Judge could get it in for me. After all, I only want to get married once. Don’t speak of this yet, Gladys, until I see definitely how things are…”
