This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 13th day of September, 1940, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [2345], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the entity in the present, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions he has submitted, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [2345]. Very unusual records! Lots of ups and lots of downs!

3. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them here, it would be impossible to give ALL in the one description or discourse on same; yet these are chosen with the desire and purpose that this may be a helpful experience for the entity, enabling it to analyze its own life.

4. Thus, with the knowledge and understanding of its faults or failures, and of its virtues and goodness, the entity may magnify the virtues and minimize the faults; that it may fill that purpose for which it entered this present experience.

5. For, no soul enters a material experience by chance, but by and through the mercy of a loving heavenly Father, who would that no soul should be lost, but that all should come to the knowledge and understanding that the Lord is just, the Lord is righteous - blessed be the name of the Lord.

6. Then, in giving these interpretations, we find there are general rules (that are indicated) through which man may see something of himself, his purposes; through that gift of his birthright to choose in various experiences that direction in which he may fill those purposes of his being.

7. Astrologically, we find latent and manifested urges which arise from the visions, day dreams or dreams of the entity. These are manners and means through which those awarenesses are kept of man’s soul being one with the Creative Forces.

8. In these we find the indications of what the entity as an individual has done about its opportunities, its privileges; as there are the influences accredited to the various spheres or consciousnesses to and through which an entity passes in the interims between the sojourns of material consciousness. Then, they are awarenesses, and have their part in the character, - yea, even the personality, - yea, even the more the individuality of an entity.

9. Here we find the mind, or Mercury, is a ruling force. Hence the consciousness at which the entity arrives at times, in its reasoning. Thus we speak of one with high mental abilities, one of high moral ideals.

10. Thus Mercury is a ruling influence; as is also Venus, Jupiter, Uranus.

11. In Venus we find the love of home, the appreciations of duties and obligations; the love of beauty, the love of those things pertaining to creating or bringing awarenesses to others, - in the mental as well as physical, - of an appreciation of beauty in its VARIED forms.

12. Thus those things having to deal with the home, or the person, are of special interest; and the entity finds in same a material manifestation for its activities.

13. From Jupiter we find the dealings with the masses, or the varied standards of activity or living. All of these become a portion of the entity’s experience.

14. In Mars we find the interest in political as well as in group associations; as orders, lodges, sects or groups. And these may be analyzed with the material manifestations which bring about such influences, as may be seen.

15. We find from Uranus the EXTREMES to which the entity has found itself. Thus ofttimes in the extremity of man’s activity has there come the opportunity for greater spiritual awakening.

16. As to the appearances of the entity in the earth, - while not all are given here, we may give those that are influencing the entity in the immediate - and in the years JUST ahead. While there may arise those experiences when confusion in many forms or manners may be a part of the experience, ASSURANCES in the spiritual will bring harmony and peace, - as they ever have.

17. Before this the entity was in those lands nigh unto that land of the present nativity, during those early activities of the American Revolution.

18. Then the entity was halted between two ways oft; as to whether to choose the cause of the Colonists or to remain with the King - or that belief.

19. Thus we find those periods of confusion were brought about by the attempts of the entity and his companion to gather data and information for the use of those whom the entity felt were in authority.

20. These, in the associations of one in the home at present, brought destructive forces in the beginning; but with those realizations that there were real unseen forces being made manifest, there came the period of spiritual awakening.

21. However, the misuse of those privileges brings material disturbances in the present; but faith and hope and spiritual application may bring again those things that may make the realization that He IS a God of love, and loves those who repent, - though each soul must meet its OWN self.

22. The name then was Elisha Desmond. In that experience the entity lost, the entity gained; and throughout the period there were fears of what others would say, - and these have been a part of the experience in the present.

23. Rather know that the life, the associations, the activities with others bespeak of those that are as the ideals of the entity. For, greater is the voice of those whom the entity has favored - or to whom be has shown brotherly love, kindness, gentleness, patience, longsuffering - than the voice of praise of those who have their own ends to attain. For, such as indicated are the seed of the spirit of truth; and in doing those, being those, fear not as to what others may say. For, if the Lord be with thee, WHO can be against thee.

24. Before that the entity was in the Roman land, during those periods of great expansions and activities in which the political as well as economic resources were to be taken into consideration.

25. The entity was an emissary of the company, or the land, in an oriental land. Hence those things pertaining to clothing, or the sources of same; as jewelry, as the various forms of activities in which there are the culinary actions of others, as well as the home building; not so much in the gold or silver but in the precious stones and the means for their hangings, were the activities of the entity.

26. The name then was Sahaib Dunborn. In the experience the entity gained; and those activities in which there was the consideration of the religious as well as the economic and home life of those individuals, with whom the entity came in contact during his journeys through the various lands, brought much of the abilities in the present to deal with groups and individuals of EVERY phase of life, or phase of human society.

27. Before that the entity was active in those periods of the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem.

28. The entity was among those associated with the activities of the temple and the furnishings of same; for the entity was very close to those activities of the scribes as well as the priests.

29. Thus we find that innate desire for close associations with worship activities; and these cause in the experience of the entity oft the awakenings to the voice especially of Nehemiah or Ezra or those of that period, if interpreted or read in the presence of the entity.

30. The entity was not a priest, but as one who waited upon and who counseled with those, who made for better conditions in those offices; these were the activities of the entity then, - as Jehujuah.

31. In the experience the entity gained throughout; and there are those experiences in the present from same, that when the entity finds itself in extremes, and turns to the belief, the activity that proclaims the belief in the divine influence, greater are the material as well as mental satisfactions arising in the experience of the entity.

32. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land. Here we find the entity was in very unusual relationships with the Priest, Ra-Ta. For, the entity was the brother of the priest in that experience, though in opposition to the activities of same when there were those influences that brought about the banishment of the Priest from the Egyptian land.

33. For, the entity sided not only with some of the counselors to the King, but with the Natives who rebelled at that period.

34. Then, the entity was not in the good graces of the King OR the Priest until after there had been the cleansing or purifying of many, after there had been the regeneration or recall of the priest.

35. THEN there were the closer activities, following his repentence, or his ACCEPTING of those activities for the supplying of materials for the temples, or for the King’s household and the homes and the buildings of same.

36. The name then was Gud-El-On. In the experiences the entity lost, the entity gained. Much of the present abilities to meet those of various groups for counsel, arise from that sojourn.

37. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then; that which it may attain, and how:

38. First, study to show thyself approved unto thy ideals. Know, then, thy ideals; the spiritual life, the mental life, the material associations; and conform thy activities with thy fellow man in accordance with that chosen.

39. The fields of commercial activity in which the entity finds itself in the present are in keeping with the better outlet for the entity’s abilities; the furnishing of homes, the adornings of the body. These, each in its place, offer the opportunity for expression.

40. In the present environs and surroundings, or for the next four to five years, should be the better place, the better vicinity for activity. For, there are many who are dependent upon much of the thought of the entity for activities of their loved ones.

41. Remember - keep the faith as ye manifested in the rebuilding; and not merely the rebuilding of the temple, but the temple the body - that is the temple of the living God. While the material manifestations are necessary, there are those purposes and desires needed to be builded strongly in the minds, hearts and experiences of others.

42. And keep self from condemning any. For, he that would be forgiven must forgive. He that would not be condemned must condemn no one.

43. Ready for questions.

44. (Q) I should continue, then, in my present vocation? (A) Continue in the present vocation.

45. (Q) Will a continuation of my partnership with … prove desirable? (A) Should prove desirable; and, as indicated, many are dependent upon, and have builded their prospects upon this continuation, - at least for the time being.

46. (Q) Will there be any important decisions for me to make during the next twelve months, so far as it relates to my business experience, and if so, when will they come? (A) These naturally arise in the general relationships from day to day. That there may be general changes in the social or economic conditions of the land is a part of the problem of all just at this time; but these should not require any UNUSUAL decisions to be made, as we find.

47. (Q) What can I do to extend my personal services to my friends and associates in the city where I reside? (A) As indicated, - remember that inasmuch as ye do it unto the least of thy brethren, thy associates, thy friends, thy acquaintances, ye do it unto thy Maker. For, all are equal in His sight; EACH soul a manifestation of that ye worship in thy Maker!

48. (Q) What can I do to further improve And better my standing in the eyes of God? (A) Improve thy standing and of what people say of thee regarding thy fellow men. THIS is the service to thy Maker.

49. (Q) What particular section of the country, climate and otherwise, will be best for my future development and success? (A) As indicated, in the present environs - for the present, see?

50. (Q) What social changes will come in the United States that may affect me or my family? (A) These are the natural changes that are eminent, or outstanding, in the present experience. These we do not find making great changes, or upheavals, in the immediate future.

51. (Q) Would the ownership of a farm of approximately 100 acres protect the future security of my family and self, and if so in what section of the country should I purchase this farm? (A) In the section where you reside! This should be the aim, the desire of every soul; to be at least to some extent SELF-sustaining; or owning and creating that as ye consume - from GOD’S storehouse and soil! Own such.

52. (Q) Should I accept the post commandership of the American Legion at next election? (A) By all means!

53. (Q) Advise how and what I can do to further aid in the work of Edgar Cayce and his Association? (A) This should come from the desire, and because of the belief in, or the good obtained from, such associations; rather than counseled by any.

R1. 9/18/40 HLC’s ltr. to [2345]:

Mr. [2345] … West Virginia

Dear Mr. [2345]:

I have the three life readings [2345-1, 2344-1, 2153-3] given for you, your wife and daughter before me. I have read them carefully, and as I promised you would like to make a comment of the relationships described and explained in these readings. It is different to write a long explanation of each of these readings such as that I gave your son. I hope, however, that you will let me have any questions regarding any points in any of these readings which you would like to have clarified. I will be glad to write you detailed answers to such questions.

Your daughter’s life reading indicates that a karmatic debt was the basic cause of her physical condition at this time. By karmatic debt I mean that in some life you and your wife were involved in breaking spiritual laws by causing your daughter to sin in some manner. This is putting it rather bluntly I know. Ethics and morals are peculiarly adapted to the age and time. I do not refer here to any specific method or manner of breaking a man made law but rather to the spiritual implication or effect on the soul. This was brought over into the present experience, and you have an opportunity now to balance and meet the urges which were then created.

As I understand the picture, in the incarnation just before this, during the period of the American Revolution, you and your wife had a child, this same girl who is your daughter today. [See 2153-3.] At that time you believed in and worked for a British cause. You were instrumental in encouraging and perhaps forcing your daughter to act as a spy in securing information which could be used against the colonies. This in itself need not have been necessarily wrong, but evidently the methods employed broke the spiritual law in that they distroyed the ideals of the girl. I call your attention to the reference in your daughter’s readings on page two [2153-3, Par. 10], “as to relationship which excited the fires of physical beings of many.”

Evidently your daughter was then possessed of some psychic ability which was misused. Quoting from your wife’s reading, [See 2344-1] “The entity’s part with the companion in ruling over one now the daughter for the insight for seership brought fear and doubt in self. Without the authenticity of same and the desire to make same practical and material brought disturbed experiences.” Evidently you attempted to force the girl to use the psychic ability, which you did not understand, to control others and to secure information which you desired. In your own reading we find the reference to “periods of confusion brought on by these attempt to gather data and information for use of those the entity felt were in authority.” (Evidently referring here to the British authority.)

It is interesting to note that all psychic abilities involve the ductless glands of the body. The pineal, the pituitary, the thyroid and the adrenal as well as glands of reproduction are all connected in the expression of any psychic faculty. The fact that your daughter misused such ability in a previous incarnation brings over into the present the tendency, directed through the soul-mind, for a disturbance in the glandular system. Such glandular disturbances involve the type of trouble associated with your daughter’s case.

You and your wife have the opportunity and the responsibility of helping this soul meet and overcome this condition. The fact that you have taken this responsibility indicates your own spiritual understanding and development. It is important that you help this child balance her life and express the finer characteristics and abilities. Understanding this relationship will be of great help in guiding and directing her life.

In your association and contact with any soul whether it be a member of the family, a friend or a business acquaintance, you must remember that you are dealing with not just a child, a man, or a woman but with a soul that, like yourself, seeks development and understanding. By our attitude and association we have the opportunity to assist or retard such development.

I will look forward to hearing from you regarding any questions you may wish to ask about any of these three readings. It was a pleasure to meet you and your family.

Dear Mr. [2345]:

Have been thinking of you many times since talking with you from N.Y. - am hoping [2153] is doing better - as haven’t heard from you - have had her on the prayer list - am sure it helps - we will if plans carry - be in N.Y. at Dave’s Monday the 11th - have written Mrs. [2344] making the appointment for the check up for Tuesday afternoon - hope that will be convenient for her - and will try and have Dr. Dobbins make some questions also - am writing him today to either be there at the time or have the questions there.

Am enclosing the bill as per your request for fixing the Furniture this man is excellent - does all the upholstering at the Ford Plant - so he has done a fine job and we are all well pleased thanks a thousand times.

Now may I ask a favor of you - the large red chair is in need of repair - could you and would you get the material to fix this for me and let me pay you for same? am sure you could get it much cheaper than I - have the factory to send it direct to me. Will take 4 1/2 yards he says of the 54 icn material do not wish to like either the Green or red - but any thing that would be right in the same room with the Suite you so kindly sent. Now be sure you let me know the cost don’t ask that you give me this but know you can get it cheaper than I can here.

All are very well - will no doubt be a hard trip talking with so many people - but is necessary that we make the trip once or twice each year to keep in touch with members in N.Y. And we are most fortunate to have Friends like Mr. Kahn with whom we can stay.

Certainly hope we may be able to be of real help for you and yours and am sure we will be granted that privilege - you have been so marvelous to us.

Dear Mr. [2345]:

Glad to talk with you again and to hear from you we often think of and speak of you good folks - of course could never go in our living room without thinking of you. We are most anxious about [2153] and do hope she comes along alright - would judge from the information the Dr. there is very good, but something of a doubter as to what he is doing, would we write me and let me put him in touch with some of the Dr’s of his profession or school who have used the information for years. Ask him to do that will you - for the general attitude about her will have much to do with how she responds am sure.

Mrs. Cayce has been quite ill - had a bad fall just after we came back from N.Y. about undid every thing had been working on to get corrected from a fall she had years ago, but when she took flu just after this fall it all seemed to settle in her right eye, and has given her a lot of trouble, she is up again now and think doing much better.

They called H. L. for the 10th of Jan. for Army, but when he explained the work here and our trying to get the office done and indexing started they gave him until the June call to get ends together, so he will have to go then - and the other boy got his call and has to go tomorrow night for examination and will go about the 10th of Mar. don’t know just how we will work things out - just hope something will happen - [257] is coming down real soon and we will have a talk as to what to try and do.

Hope you and Mrs. [2344] are well - let me hear from you - how is the young man

Dear Mr. [2345]:

The enclosed report covers the general activities of the Association. I would like for you to be acquainted with our program.

As you may know, during the past year we have been developing an expansion program which included the building of the vault, library and offices as well as a complete indexing of all of the readings in our files. In view of the publicity which will result from the publication of the book on my father’s life and work, we must be in a position to give a good account of our work. I find our present situation a difficult one in the light of the rapidity of developments.

It will be necessary for me to enter the army in June for a year’s service. Before that time I am helping Tom Sugrue with the book on dad’s life, trying to get the indexing work well under way and at the same time revise the publications preparatory to a greater demand brought on by the book.

Our original estimate of the amount needed for the expansion work was five thousand dollars. We have secured approximately three thousand. We will within the next few months secure this amount under our program, but the time is short and I do not believe that we can afford to delay in our preparations.

Five hundred dollars should be spent immediately in revising and expanding our publications. Five hundred dollars is needed to complete the building, including the installation of the bath. Five hundred dollars is needed to improve the grounds and build a new garage on the other side of the house. Five hundred dollars is needed to pay the salary for six months for a stenographer who will assist in the indexing work and extracting.

In the light of the fact that I have just a few months to work on this program, and considering the fact that Henry Holt and Co. have already contracted for the book on my father’s life, thus assuring us of a focusing of attention on the work ad a greater opportunity to reach and help more individuals, it seems to me that a wise move would be to borrow the needed capital and go forward immediately with the developments.

Now I have in mind four sources of revenue through which this money could be returned with interest. We plan a special first edition of the book in a gift binding at an advanced price. We are preparing to sell for the Expansion Program prints of the etching being made of my father for the book by Elias Grossman. We are going to develop some type of benefit for the Expansion Program in New York in April. Letters to all those who have had readings will be continued and contributions from these letters will come in.

Mr. [2345], I would like very much to go to our Trustees with this program worked out in a business like manner. I am acutely conscious of the fact that we need this capital now before I am removed from the vicinity of operations here. The clerical help is most necessary and the publications are essential in meeting the demand which will come.

You will perhaps be surprised, as you read the report, that we operate on such a close margin as not to be in a position to carry such a modest expansion program. My father seeks to be of service. He has little regard for financial returns. Many requests come without the membership fees, none are refused.

I would like your advice and help. If I am not thinking clearly, do not hesitate to say so, but I believe you will agree with me that this is a time to step forward and prepare for the greater opportunities.

If you can see your way clear to lend the Association the amount needed, (I would like to have the amount centered with one person rather than scattered), we can assure you that all funds coming in from the four sources mentioned will go immediately to repaying this loan. I will be able to go forward at once with the publication expansion (printing of supplies of booklets and research papers for distribution) and secure the clerical help needed to conduct the indexing work. The building will be completed and all will be ready for the focusing of interest with the book publication in the early fall.

Please give this careful consideration. If you so desire I will come to … to go over this with you in detail. If you feel that you cannot justifiably handle all of this please consider one half or one fourth of the amount. Naturally we will expect to give you notes and pay interest on this loan.

R5. 3/11/41 [2345]‘s letter to HLC:

Dear Hugh Lynn:

I am in receipt of your March 4th letter which I read with a great deal of interest.

I assure you were I in a position at the present time to prove of assistance to you I would certainly do so not only because I think a great deal of the work that is being done by your association but also because of the high regard that I have for your dad and mother. I would be happy to do anything I can to assist your dad but, unfortunately, right at the present time it is impossible for me to raise any funds other than for the obligations I am compelled to meet from now until late in June.

I have a number of insurance premiums that are due at intervals during the next two months which coupled with a large payment on the mortgage loan on my home that is due early in April will tax my resources to the limit. Besides, to climax it all, I just issued two checks for my state and federal income tax which necessitated my borrowing the funds.

I am most reluctant to furnish you with this information which is purely personal, nevertheless, I am doing so to impress you that were I in a position to loan you the money, or any part of what you need, I would be happy to do so.

It is possible in May or June I will be in better shape financially in which event be assured I will advise you.

Dear Mr. [2345]:

I want to thank you for your letter of March 11th, while I am sorry that it was impossible for you to consider my proposition, I want you to know that we thorough[ly] understand your position. We appreciate the interest and cooperation you have given us since your first contact with our work and I appreciate your writing me as you did.

As I explained to you the unusual circumstances involved in expanding our literature to meet the demand which will increase with the publication of my father’s book in the early fall, plus the work we are attempting to do on indexing our records before I leave, are causing considerate pressure on us. We will, I am sure get this situation straightened out in some manner.

I am sure the progress with [2153] must seem very slow at times but as you will agree it is a different case and one that will require patience and persistence. I have have one of my own with Sugrue and can appreciate your difficulties. Let me assure you again that we are always ready to try to be of help in any way. It is only in our records of results that we build our faith to carry on in studying and presenting such difficult cases.

Please give my kindest regards to Mrs. [2344] and the other members of your family. We are going to look forward to seeing you all at Congress in June.

Dear Mr. [2345]:

Thank you for yours of the 29th. It was certainly very lovely of you to remember us and our work here. I appreciate your contribution more than I know how to tell you. Of course, you recall that all of the contributions to the Ass’n that you have made in any one year, is deductible from your income taxes. We have had a very nice response and if you would could see our work here at the present time you would wonder even how we get along I suspect. We have run from just two or three in the office, until it requires ten and still we are way behind with our correspondence, but we can do just so much and will try to do the very best we possibly can to do all we can.

Yes, we have missed the boys a great deal. Of course, you realize how much I had relied on Hugh Lynn. I did not realize it until he was gone. I guess it is the same old story - “we don’t miss the water until the well runs dry”. The other boy is in the Signal Corps, and has been in the South Atlantic for almost twelve months now.

I was glad to hear from [2153] and Mrs. [2344]. I hope they are both just fine. Please remember me to them when you write, if they are away from home - guess they are home for the holidays now though.

[257] I think has been giving most of his time to work in Washington for many months - in fact, the last time I talked with him over the telephone, he was there at that time. I think he has done very well, with his war contracts. I would judge so from the way he talks.

R9. 2/13/45 [2345]‘s letter to GC:

My dear Mrs. Cayce:

Upon my return to my office today after an absence of several weeks I was deeply grieved to learn of Edgar’s untimely death. I had heard that he was indisposed, but I hadn’t the slightest idea that his illness was so serious.

I can well understand what Edgar’s death must mean to you and the boys; the loss of a devoted husband and loving father is indeed a grievous one. Always considering Edgar a God-fearing man and deeply admiring his saintly character, I deemed it a privilege to call myself his friend. Although, my acquaintance with Edgar was comparatively brief, he made a profound impression upon me, and since his death has effected me so much I can realize what it must mean to you, your family and Edgar’s close associates. I am sure you understand Mrs. Cayce, how deeply I sympathize with you in your bereavement.

Our grief at Edgar’s passing will not be unavailing if it teaches us to counsel and comfort those who, like ourselves, are sorrow-stricken. Within the circle of daily association we too often fail to discern the worth and loveliness of our friends, but in the remembrance of their virtues, we can lift our heads in hope and summon our strength for duty. Edgar lived a good and a full life; he brought happiness to thousands who were worried and oppressed by the ills and misfortunes of life, and by calling these things to mind we will honor and cherish his memory. His deeds of lovingkindness should be treasured up and bring comfort and solace to you and his friends.

Inasmuch as the Association files are crammed full with his readings, and as I know that these contain invaluable advice and counsel on many important subjects, I do hope that you and the members of the Association will, to the fullest possible extent, make them available to those who, like myself, had such confidence in his judgement.

Dear Hugh Lynn:

On a recent trip to New York I spent sometime with [257] who informed me that you are now back on the job and doing a great deal of work in connection with many readings of your late dear dad.

I am anxious to reaffiliate with your organization and will appreciate your sending me one of your regular application blanks which, upon receipt, will be filled out and forwarded you together with a check for whatever the dues may be.

I just returned to-day from a three weeks visit to Los Angeles where I met one of my relatives who is suffering from migraine headaches. I remember among the readings of your late dad there were many suggestions regarding treatment which, in several cases proved successful. One in particular, I recall, was that furnished [[619]‘s daughter [480]] who was completely cured based on a specific reading. In case you have segregated any readings regarding treatment for migraine headaches, I wish you would send me a set as I am anxious to forward same to my relative.

I do hope that you will succeed in your mission of accumulating and disseminating the many treatments of the various illnesses outlined in the readings which, in my opinion, will prove a Godsend to many sufferers.

Dear Mr. [2345]:

I was very glad to have your letter of August 16th expressing your renewed interest in our Association work. I am very happy you had an opportunity to see [257] and discuss it with him. We have a tremendous undertaking ahead of us in making all of the information in the records Dad left available to those who need it.

Enclosed is one of our regular membership blanks as well as a little leaflet which outlines the over-all program of our activities. We look forward to having you as an active member.

You will note that under both the active and associate memberships, we have listed the abstracting service. This service will take care of exactly the type of question you brought up in our letter regarding migraine headaches. To date, we have indexed eight cases of migraine, and our procedure now would be to have this material copied off as quickly as possible for you. Wherever possible, we are enlisting the cooperation of physicians who will follow this information and assist an individual in making the best use of it. We have several physicians in the Los Angeles area who are now handling cases on this basis. Their names and addresses are as follows:

Dr. Thomas J. Meyers [D.O. The Meyers Clinic], 420 Security Bldg., Pasadena 1, Calif., Dr. K. Kendall Golson [D.C.], 840 South St., Andres Place, Los Angeles 5, Calif.

I am sure that you will be glad to know that some of the doctors, notably Dr. Henry George III of Wilmington, Del., Dr. Chas. R. Wakeling of Boston, Massachusetts; Dr. Frank P. Dobbins of Staten Island, N.Y., Dr. Harold J. Reilly of New York, and others, are getting results with cases by following treatments outlined for similar conditions in the readings. As we progress with this work, we are going to be able to reach and help a tremendous number of people.

I hope that at your first opportunity, you will pay us a visit here at the Beach and see just what we are doing now with the records.

B2. 7/7/40 Mr. [257]‘s letter: “Mr. [2345] came to see me - took me to dinner with [2793]. My talk lasted until 3:05 A.M. He said in all his life he never sat so still, so long, so interested. He came back for more yesterday - all afternoon and is due here now. Results: A wonderful friend for you. He is a little fellow, very wealthy, very religious, patriotic and a believer in your work now. He is writing for a health reading on his daughter [See 2153-2], two Life Readings, and his cousin [2307] who was with us also wrote you…”

B3. 7/13/40 Letter: “While at Chicago I spent several evenings with our mutual friend, Mr. [257] and the information he furnished me regarding your work was the most astounding and marvelous I have ever heard. I was with him one evening from seven o’clock until three in the morning and received enough information that I am fully convinced that I can secure help for some of the problems with which I am confronted through your assistance…” [He submitted request for check physical for his daughter, and a Life Reading for his son [2316] and daughter [See 2153-3].]

I will appreciate your requesting Miss Gladys to type these readings [He requested a Physical Rdg., and a Life Rdg., for self and wife] in duplicate sending me, as soon as available, both copies of each of the physical readings and single copies of the life readings. Request her to give one copy of each of the two life readings to Hugh Lynn. Before I left for home I asked him to read both and to send them to me together with as much of an interpretation as he will find the time to compile.
