This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 17th day of August, 1936, in accordance with request made by the self - through mother, Mrs. [601], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 4:00 to 4:05 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Detroit, Mich. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: We have the body here; this we have had before.

2. As we find, conditions in the main are very good. However, in the present there are some upsettings from a little cold, congestion and lack of eliminations, producing a little congestion through the gall duct area. Hence along the side or the intercostal muscular forces there is disorder.

3. These conditions would adjust themselves, as we find, with a thorough manipulation, the use of a colonic occasionally, and with the general applications of those influences that have been suggested from time to time.

4. Ready for questions.

5. (Q) What about pain in right arm? (A) This is a reflex from the disturbances as has been indicated. With a stirring of the liver and an activity of the gall duct as related to the general eliminations, these should disappear.

6. (Q) Should Ventriculin be continued? (A) Occasionally, as we find. Now taken once a week or such a matter would make for sufficient to keep a balance in the enzymes of the system, or to aid in same.

7. (Q) Would a lotion or salve be recommended for the skin, which is so rough, to keep it from breaking out? (A) As we find, any lotion - preferably something as might be compounded in this manner:

To 3 ounces of Rosewater, add - in the order named:

Pure Olive Oil…1 ounce, Glycerine…10 minims.

Shake together and use before retiring; this should keep the skin (for this body - wouldn’t for everyone!) in very good shape.

8. (Q) How often should the manipulations be taken? (A) At least once a week, oftener if there is any dizziness or headache.

9. (Q) Any other advice for the body at this time? (A) Follow those suggestions. Keep the attitudes and keep the physical forces of the body COORDINATING mentally, physically; we should keep for better conditions for this body.

R1. 8/21/36 “This is the first time in 3 yrs. that I can honestly say ‘I’m feeling like my old self again.’ And this last rdg., too, was so encouraging. We’ve thanked you many times for all the good you’ve done that it is beginning to sound a little worn, but we want you to know about the good health and happiness you have brought to us all here ([480], [633], [601], [619], etc.) - isn’t that the greatest thanks?

“I haven’t had a severe headache (like I used to have) in about four months. No nausea, and my appetite just can’t be satiated. Now I take osteopathic treatments because there is nothing I like better, not because I’m in need of one, at a particular time.”

R2. 8/28/36 Mother [601]‘s ltr.: “[480] has been fine, thanks to you (she still has the haziness, but her general health is greatly improved). She is using the lotion recommended for her skin and it is helping to soften the texture.”

R3. 9/9/36 Mrs. [480] wired for 619-6 for father.

R4. 11/10/36 Her mother, Mrs. [601], was present for 480-28, in Mrs. [480]‘s first month of pregnancy.

R5. 2/25/37 “The Dr. heard a good strong heartbeat and is very well pleased with my general health. My blood pressure is now normal, the first time that I can ever remember it being so.”

R6. 7/37 See 480-37 through 480-40 following childbirth, indicating clearing of glandular system which would produce normalcy, overcoming the long standing glandular headaches, etc.
