GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes.
-
In giving the interpretations of conditions here, and considering that as would be the most helpful or beneficial, - while the conditions have reached that of an infection, and infectious forces, we find that to interfere, or to attempt to interfere in the present may bring more harm than good; owing to conditions surrounding same.
-
When there are improvements sufficient for the removal of the body, and through the period of recuperations, there may be given much for beneficial conditions - in body and mind.
-
In the present, let those about the body be earnest in prayer, in consideration of all the conditions; not creating an environ that may be hard for the body to see light and hope through.
-
We are through for the present.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 1/24/42 Grandmother [2415]‘s letter: “I have hoped every day since I sent the wire to get a letter off to you explaining. On January 1st [2663] developed an abscessed ear and ran a temperature of from 104 to 106 for a week. Ear drained nicely, then suddenly closed and of course high temperature again. She was tender from head to foot and the doctor said he would have to have her in the hospital for observation. We supposed a few days but this went on and on - with all kinds of tests made. Finally pus formed in her elbow and it began swelling, then in about three days they drained that. From that time on she just lies in a half stupor but runs a high temperature the greater part of the time. We are all so anxious over her and […] [husband-grandfather, [4825]] insisted on wiring you.
“I hope you are able to find the cause and treatment. We will be so anxious to hear. I did not give you her age but did not think it was necessary for a rush reading. She was five years old October 20th and has always been a problem child. We are hoping some things will be corrected.”
R2. 2/26/42 Letter from grandmother, [2415]: “She is home now, very weak and thin. We felt there would be a definite step to find her trouble, but now I see it was best to keep her under the conditions at the hospital, so all the tests could be made. I do hope now we will be able to hear more as to her getting strong. They are keeping her at home now constantly, and any time you can give her a Rdg., she will be there without an appointment.”
R3. 3/10/42 See 2663-2.
R4. 7/20/72 See mother’s letter under 2663-2 saying the doctor’s diagnosis of [2663] at 5 years was “blood stream infection, hypoglycemia and brain damage.”
