This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 27th day of June, 1928, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [270].

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [270], of Room …, St., Chicago, Ill., and the Life Reading made for this body on March 26, 1928; also you will have his associations with the Western Union Telegraph Company, and investments of the body. You will answer questions which I will ask you regarding all of these.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [270], with the associations about the body physically, mentally, financially; also the information as has been given regarding the body from the influence of the ego, or self, in the present experience. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) It was given that entity should be in places of power, position and wealth, one guiding many, but for reason that he had failed to find self these had not materialized. Accordingly, you will now give further information on this phase of the reading as will assist him in correcting. State specifically the measure necessary to bring about a true status of this entity as given. (A) This, as seen, is referring directly to that which in the inner self’s own creative forces or powers, wherein entity is given that to prefer self before any other is to exalt self, and he that would be great in power, in leading, in directing, will be in self a SERVANT and not MASTER of all. GET THAT! UNDERSTAND THAT! LIVE THAT! BE THAT! DEVELOP THAT! and there will be GIVEN that for self that will bring to the power OF the entity’s BEING that of power, wealth, position, station; and building such IN self will give an understanding and a consciousness of MAKING self one WITH, not one OF God’s children. Vast deal of difference to be seen in being one OF God’s children and one WITH God’s children. Just as it is to be laughed AT or laughed WITH. Get that!

4. (Q) You will also inform him as to the month and year he will locate in the East, and if the ultimate location will not be New York City instead of Baltimore.

(A) Depends upon the activity of the abilities innate within the entity. Baltimore or New York. As to the place, or as to which of the places, depends upon the application of self, as the abilities that are present within in the activity of the entity. As to what month or period, make THAT the purport of the entity, if that is necessary for the better development. Think not that because someone is apparently jealous of the abilities, to remove self from such surroundings is to escape that, for such elements are builded within SELF - see? For, as a man thinketh IN HIS HEART, so IS he! Not what MAN says, nor what man even makes OUT like he does! for we are gradually builded to that image created within our own mental being; for, as has been given, the Spirit is the life, the Mind is the active forces that, coordinated with the spirit that is of the creative energy, or for God, gives the physical result that is effective in every sense. 5. (Q) Regarding the Western Union Telegraph Co., the body’s employer, why does it not do more telegraph business? Will its securities come back and resume their enviable place in the world financial market? (A) There are to be great changes coming about with these conditions, and the combinations which will be culminated in the early portion of the coming Fall, or soon thereafter, will send these securities higher and higher. Truly has it been said that once in a lifetime one is privileged to buy Western Union. Very good time to buy it! as is also of radio, or the radio corporations - to which this is to become a portion of the great system, encircling not only those of America but many other lands. 6. (Q) Regarding the 50 shares of Chicago City and Connecting Ry. Preferred Stock the body holds - [See 270-14.] (A) (Interrupting) Hold same, and keep it, for it will be worth while YET.

7. (Q) If to be held, state when and at what price per share these can be sold? (A) Hold. Keep it. These will be sold to a profit for the body, for those conditions as have been given respecting these, have not failed! We are through.

PLAN WIRELESS PHONE SERVICE FOR U.S. CITIES

BEAM-OPERATED SYSTEM PERFECTED BY MARCONI

A new system of wireless telegraph and telephone service will link up all the important cities of the United States probably within the year, according to a report in circulation in Wall Street today.

The new system, it is understood, will be the result of arrangements made between the Radio Corporation of America and Signor Marconi, which will give the corporation the rights to an invention now being perfected by Marconi. The new apparatus will operate up to a thousand circuits on one wave length.

LIKE ORDINARY SWITCHBOARD

The Radio Corporation already has placed orders for the new equipment, it is said in banking circles. The sending and receiving sets are about the size of an ordinary telephone switchboard.

Two of the Radio corporation’s officers, who returned on the Ile De France recently spent some time conferring with Marconi. Then men are David Sarnoff, Vice President of the Radio Corporation, and W. A. Winterbottom, traffic manager of the corporation.

Signor Marconi, it is declared, will visit the country next winter, and it is believed that the service between several American cities may then be started.

The new wireless telegraph system will be operated by the Radio corporation, it is believed, while by special arrangement the new telephone service will be operated by the American Telephone and Telegraph corporation.

Thus the wireless telephone will not compete with the ordinary telephone service now in operation. The wireless telephone and telegraph, however, will be much cheaper and it will eliminate for all time the danger of interrupted communication through storms.

The new wireless telephone and telegraph will be operated on the beam system a process which has occupied the attention of Marconi for some time and which has already revolutionized wireless communication.

It is quite possible that the United States will be the first to use Marconi’s new device.
