This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 27th day of March, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [270].

1. EC: Now, we find the physical conditions existing in this body are not so good as those conditions when we had it here before. There are many of the conditions that have become exaggerated in the system. While we find no specific organic troubles, we find organs are disturbed in their functioning, yet it (the condition) rather a functional condition than of an organic nature.

2. Now these are the conditions as we find them in this body. First:

3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find rather full and above the normal in pressure, yet this condition is produced by improper eliminations in the system. Hence the glands in portions of the body, especially in neck and internally. In the plethora of the functioning of the circulation, this produces the distress in these portions of the body. The dilatory feeling, the suppression in mental reaction, the dull, achey feeling, soreness in throat, tonsils, larynx, the pains in head, the dullness to the whole system, sluggishness in the functioning of the digestive system. These, as we see, are produced from conditions as existent from toxins as are absorbed in the system and affect directly tissue, and involving the function of elimination throughout these portions of the system. Hence the variation as to the manifestation of the distress as caused in body.

4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, in this we find the body has been under great mental strain, and with the depleted condition in the system causes the body to be more easily susceptible to destructive elements in the system.

5. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, in the sensory system, as we find the nerve system involved, these organs are more susceptible to the conditions, for as we find, the streptococci as exhibited in the system from the condition as exists in the teeth, and from the condition in the tonsil, this produces the toxins in the system that become the trouble with the functioning of the organs in elimination. Then, the system responding to this, we find the troubles as shown at times in the kidneys, in the liver, in the diet, or the inability of the body as to assimilate that as taken in, for the hypogastric and pneumogastric nerves and their branches become susceptible to sympathetic conditions in the body.

6. Then, to relieve these conditions as we find, we would first take those properties in the system, in a medicinal manner and way, that will cleanse in a NORMAL way without producing irritation to the system, and start the correct elimination to the system. Taking first then two capsules containing this as each dose:

Podophyllin…1 grain, Licorice Compound…1/2 grain, Cascara Sagrada…1/2 grain.

7. These would be taken one one evening, the other the next evening, followed the next morning, after each dose is taken, with half a teaspoonful plain phosphate of soda in a half glass of warm water, with six drops of Syrup of Sarsaparilla.

8. After these have been taken, and the system purged with these, we will find it would be well then to have the local condition as exists in the teeth, especially in the first and second molar on the left side, upper, and the back teeth on the right side in the lower, treating the gums all around with those cleansing solutions as will clear the gums and give the strenthening effect to the system; using the antiseptics as a gargle, one day using Listerine in its normal form, the next day, or evening, using as a gargle that of Glyco-Thymoline in its normal form, as a gargle and mouth wash. The teeth should be treated locally by a dentist who will clear these of their troublesome conditions.

9. We would also use on the upper cervicals those hot packs. That is, first cover the portion of the body from first cervical to third, with a saturated solution of bicarbonate of soda. Then apply hot packs of salt to relieve the strain and to reduce the gland troubles as are affected through these portions of the body.

10. Do this, and take after these have been reduced to near normal condition, those exercises as have first been given for the body for the upper portion of the system, to start the correct eliminations in the body, [270].

11. Do that.

12. The condition as is in the teeth and in the tonsils, creating the condition in blood. The reaction as through nerve system and sympathetic system producing the functional conditions. The troubles in the teeth being that of trouble at the root and a nerve congestion, producing inflammation in same. Some show of pyorrhea in the gums.

Will you give due and timely notice to any other condition pertaining to this body along with relief for its full restoration.”
