This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 21st day of July, 1927, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [270].

Time of Reading Room …, 12:50 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Chicago, Ill.

1. GC: The last reading [270-8] given at Virginia Beach June 14, 1926, on the body [270], present in this room, reported an improved physical condition. You will now review this body again and define its present physical condition, also state the cause of the enlargement in the front and both sides of the neck. How does this affect the heart? What action is necessary to relieve this condition? Surgical or medicinal treatments? Explain fully. Are there any other conditions found in your analysis of this body that require or should receive attention from the physical or spiritual forces? Is the radium or treated water that this body has been partaking of freely providing the right kind of mineral ingredients for the body? What would be the best plan to follow in correcting the untruthful statements recently made about myself, [270]? You will speak distinctly at a normal rate of speech.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. This we have had before. In reviewing the present physical conditions of the body, we find the general physical forces show still much improvement from those as have been viewed here before.

3. The addition to the body of those minerals as are obtained in that as has been given radium water], supplies much as is needed to bring about the normal equilibrium for the body.

4. As to the enlargements [in neck] as are seen, these are from the supplying through glands that improper condition, which brings about some enlargement [goitre?]. A lack of iodine in the system, and this is not wholly supplied through those minerals as are being taken at present. To supply these, we would prefer - as to bring for the body that proper vibration from the iodine, rather than to supply the mineral itself, or the vegetable compound and mineral as produced in iodine in the proper state - the vibration of same as would be applied through a low form of cold electric vibration, such as is found in the Radio-Active Appliance, with the iodine as the negative anode attachment of same. This attached to the umbilicus, with the positive at the 1st cervical, see? This should be taken for at least two hours each evening, after the body has retired, see?

5. The gentle manipulation [osteopathically] over the whole system, especially in the region of the 7th and 8th dorsal, will assist in the distribution of those minerals as are being applied to the system, and to the vibratory force as is set for the body through that of the application of the Radio-Active forces, with the active principles of that in iodine.

6. Do that, and we will bring still better vitality and resistance for this body of [270].

7. As to those statements as have been made concerning the individual, these - were they forgotten and not taken as serious - apply better for the life of the body; for in such conditions there is brought to the individuals who are attempting to use undue measures to bring about various conditions, that which will rebound to themselves, by the body, [270], acting in the manner of as disregarding same, only in that manner of keeping self in the right way. Ready for questions.

8. (Q) Then it would not be advisable for the body to go to New York regarding this matter? (A) This will not need such measures; for, as is seen, the actions of the body, [270], have been and are such as to DISPROVE ANY such statements as have been made. Only conduct self along those lines as the body has set for self as concerning the right way, and keep in that manner. See?

Not necessary, then, to go to New York. Simply make that plan, make that statement, as has been, and keep in that way.

R1. 7/21/27 At 1:00 P.M. Mr. [270] was present for his friend’s rdg. 953-27, submitting questions about the weather conditions, scarcity of grain, etc. Also see 953-28 in which they both asked questions about the same.

R2. 8/3/27 Mr. [270] wrote: “This is to inform you that I reached home safely; I also want to thank you for the very cordial treatment, also to tell you that Mr. [953] and myself appreciated both the readings [270-9 and 953-27].”

R3. Subsequently he obtained several Business Rdgs. and a Life Rdg.

R4. 2/21/28 He requested Physical Rdg. for his mother, Mrs. [4789].

R5. 4/2/28 Mrs. [340] wrote that Mr. [270] was going to C. 0. Wright, M.D., D.O., D.C.

R7. 8/2/32 He obtained 270-29, Par. 2-A in re malignant growth or enlarged thyroid on left side of neck under jaw.
