This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 3rd day of May, 1927, in accordance with request made by self - Edgar Cayce.

Time of Reading 5:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va.

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of EC, of …, and the dreams this body had on the dates which I will give you. You will give the interpretation and lesson to be gained from each of these, as I read them to you.

2. EC: We have the body, the enquiring mind, EC. This we have had here before.

3. The dreams, as we see, come through those channels as have been outlined, and as should be applied by the body.

4. Ready for dreams.

5. (Q) Friday Night, 4/29, or Saturday Morning, 4/30/27. I thought that I went to N.Y. to talk to [900] and the people up there about the institution, and they told me the doctor was already down here, so I came back. [900] and [257], [137] and Mrs. [106], and some other people whom I did not know, all came with me, and we went down to this place where they said they had the institution and the doctor had Gertrude and Miss Gladys in a great big pot of water boiling them, but it didn’t seem to hurt them at all - they were just swimming around in the water without any clothes on. I tried to get them out and burnt my hand. When I woke up I noticed a red streak or scratch on my hand. (A) In this there is presented, in this emblematical way and manner, that the entity - in seeing, interviewing, talking with other individuals concerning institution - should come to that more perfect understanding of the duties and the ABILITIES concerning the physician, and the relations of such with the institution, and thus prevent the condition that is seen of having others, as it were, in hot water. For as seen, the scratch which had been of a physical nature merely presented that in the spiritual sense of the pattern in the material sense. And this, then, is that which should be gained by the entity from same, and do not let same pass without due consideration. See? [Work:E.C.:Cayce Hospital]

6. (Q) Night of Saturday, 4/30, or Sunday Morning, 5/1/27. Dream regarding three day’s experience during my sojourn in Arabia, and of connecting the past associations with the present. [See 294-8 & 294-19 in re his incarnation as Uhjltd.] (A) In this there is seen that the subconscious force of the entity, through the physical viewing of an individual who was associated with the entity during that period, in that state when the consciousness is laid aside, simply for the three days views an experience of the entity during that period, and that experience is as of that three days’ experience. Well to study, relate, and to keep such as a record, for there will be references to such from time to time that will bring about the more perfect understanding of reincarnation and the relation of same to present experiences.

7. (Q) Monday Morning, 5/2/27, regarding making lectures to clubs, etc. preparatory to opening of institution. (A) In this there is seen the many various phases of the entity’s work, in this emblematical manner.

And associated through the various conditions presented by the individual who gives counsel and advice regarding what should be done, and who gave in the physical sense and manner much of counsel regarding the ways and manners same should be conducted.

In this vision there is seen the weakness of the flesh of the entity, and there is seen that to which same might be carried, bringing about then those conditions that would be such that would cause consternation, worry, trouble, and those conditions as were viewed in the vision.

Yet, as is seen, all may be turned - by the correct application of self - to the work in hand - to those channels that may bring about conditions in the way and manner as viewed by the entity, giving in the way and manner as outlined the experiences that are being carried out by such as the Association attempts and plans to do.

And in this way and manner there may be builded the great influential institution, that will be far-reaching and beneficial to many. [Work:E.C.:Prophecy?]
